The ICM-1215, ICM-1216, and ICM-1508 are three models of ice machines. These models have the same cleaning and installation process.
Water Shortage Alarm Maintenance
If the machine’s water tank has water but the machine is showing a water
shortage alarm, you need to check if the water tank inlet strainer is blocked.
Follow the cleaning method below:
- Remove the ice basket and plastic parts of the filter network from the water tank.
- Pull out the metal filter plug.
- Clean all the removed parts.
- Install the cleaned parts back into the machine in the reverse order.
Regular Cleaning of the Water Tank Filter
To prevent scale and other blockages that may cause abnormal water shortage
alarms, it is recommended to regularly disassemble and clean the filter in the
water tank based on the actual usage situation.
Product Usage Instructions
- Ensure that the ice machine is powered off and unplugged before starting any maintenance or cleaning procedures.
- To check for water shortage alarms, open the machine and inspect the water tank inlet strainer for any blockages.
- If the strainer is blocked, follow the steps below to clean it:
- Remove the ice basket from the machine.
- Take out the plastic parts of the filter network from the water tank.
- Gently pull out the metal filter plug.
- Thoroughly clean all the removed parts using water and a mild detergent.
- Once cleaned, reassemble the parts in reverse order: first, insert the metal filter plug, then the plastic parts of the filter network, and finally place the ice basket back into the machine.
- To prevent scale and blockages, it is recommended to regularly clean the filter in the water tank. Follow these steps:
- Based on your actual usage, determine the frequency of cleaning. It is generally recommended to clean the filter every 1-2 months.
- Follow steps a-d from the previous section to remove and clean the filter.
- After cleaning, reassemble the filter and ensure it is securely in place.
- After completing any maintenance or cleaning procedures, plug in and power on the ice machine.
