Safety Instructions

Apuro recommends that this appliance should be periodically tested (at least annually) by a Competent Person. Testing should include, but not be limited to: Visual Inspection, Polarity Test, Earth Continuity, Insulation Continuity, and Functional Testing.

Please take a few moments to carefully read through this manual. Correct maintenance and operation of this machine will provide the best possible performance from your Apuro product.

Apuro prides itself on quality and service, ensuring that at the time of unpacking the contents are supplied fully functional and free of damage. Should you find any damage as a result of transit, please contact your Apuro dealer immediately.
Installation
Remove all packaging and dispose of it safely. Wash Liner, Top Ring, and Lid in warm soapy water rinse in clean water then dry thoroughly.
Operation
- Connect the appliance to the main power supply.
- Partly fill the Body with water (the water level should be between the Min and Max fill lines).
- Place the metal collar on the body of the kettle, then place the inner liner inside the Body of the soup kettle (The inner liner should sit on top of the metal collar).
- Pour the hot soup or food into the Liner, then position the Lid on the Top Ring.
- Switch on the electricity at the socket.
- Start heating by rotating the control knob clockwise, the indicator light will come on and stay on until the selected temperature is reached. Power will come on to start heating again when the temperature of the kettle falls.
- To turn the appliance Off, set the Temperature Control to ‘0’.
WARNING:
Never move or carry the appliance when it is switched on or contains hot
liquid.
Cleaning, Care & Maintenance
- Disconnect from the electricity supply, and allow it to cool before emptying the water from the Body, always use fresh water when the kettle is to be used.
- Always wash the Kettle Liner, Top Ring, and Lid after every use. Wipe both the exterior and interior of the Body to remove any food residues, do not immerse the Body in water or clean it with a pressure washer.
- Dry thoroughly after cleaning.
De-scaling
In hard water areas, lime scale can build up within the appliance after
prolonged use. For the best taste and extended appliance life, de-scale it
regularly. Installation of a water filtration system is also recommended. To
de-scale the appliance.
- Remove the lid and inner container first.
- Pour a solution of de-scaler and water into the outer container.
- Follow the manufacturer’s instructions on the de-scale solution with reference to the length of time required to soak, agitation, water temperature, and on how to dispose of the solution safely.
- Fill the outer container with clean water and turn the appliance On to flush out the system. Flush out the system thoroughly to remove any de-scaler residue.
- The appliance is now ready for use.
Note:
Use a suitable de-scaler and always follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
Apuro recommends that this appliance is de-scaled every 3 months or more
frequently in hard water areas.
IMPORTANT:
Failure to de-scale or maintain will invalidate your guarantee.

Electrical Wiring
The plug is to be connected to a suitable main socket. This appliance is wired as follows:
- Live wire (colored brown) to the terminal marked L
- Neutral wire (colored blue) to the terminal marked N
- Earth wire (colored green/yellow) to the terminal marked E
This appliance must be earthed. If in doubt consult a qualified electrician. Electrical isolation points must be kept clear of any obstructions. In the event of any emergency disconnection being required, they must be readily accessible.
