Thermory Barrel Sauna
The Thermory Barrel Sauna is a compact and cozy sauna designed for up to two people. It is made from high-quality materials and comes with all the necessary parts and tools for easy assembly.

Product Parts

The sauna kit includes the following parts:

  • 2 support cradles (A)
  • 1 center stave (B)
  • 70 sauna body staves (C) + 2 reserves
  • 2 final H-type top staves (H)
  • 1 front panel (F2)
  • 1 rear panel (E2)
  • 2 left panels (E, F)
  • 2 right panels (E1, F1)
  • 1 aspen roof board (O)
  • 2 flooring boards (L)
  • 1 duckboard (L)
  • 2 interior benches (J)
  • 6 bench supporting staves (J1)
  • 2 metal bench bands (J2)
  • 1 set of adhesive roof tape (R)
  • 1 waterproof roof cover (Z)
  • 2 wooden slats for roof cover (Z1)
  • Various screws, hex nuts, washers, and decorative roof-nishing boards
  • Recommended tools: rubber, level, drill, saw, hammer, screwdriver, measuring tape

Usage Instructions

  1. Choose a level site for your sauna kit that is approximately 7′ x 7′ x 7′. The site should be free of standing water after rainfall and preferably made of concrete, pavers, or crushed stone.
  2. Measure the support cradles (A) diagonally from corner to corner and ensure they are level.
  3. Place the center stave (B) on the support cradles (A) and fix it with screws 4.2 x 70 (N).
  4. Place 6 sauna body staves (C) on each side of the center stave (B) and fix them with screws 4.2 x 70 (N). Align the panel groove on every next body stave.
  5. Place the front panel with sauna doors (F2) and rear panel (E2) into the trimmed grooves. Be sure each panel is centered, leveled, and completely seated into the floor panel. Bind these panels together by temporarily placing one or two body stave (C) on top of them.
  6. Attach two front side panels (F, F1) to the front panel (F2) and two back side panels (E, E1) to the rear panel (E2) by screws 5.0 x 120 (M) and stainless steel screws 4.20 x 70 (N1). Be sure the bench supports face the interior of the sauna.
  7. Fix the final H-type top staves (H) to the sauna body staves (C) by screws 4.2 x 70 (N).
  8. Place the aspen roof board (O) on top of the H-type top staves (H) and fix it with screws 4.2 x 70 (N).
  9. Attach the waterproof roof cover (Z) to the wooden slats (Z1) and fix them to the aspen roof board (O) with screws 4.0 x 50 (P). Seal the joints with adhesive roof tape (R).
  10. Place the flooring boards (L) and duckboard (L) on the floor panel and fix them with screws 4.2 x 70 (N).
  11. Attach the interior benches (J) to the bench supporting staves (J1) and fix them to the sauna body staves (C) with metal bench bands (J2).
  12. Your Thermory Barrel Sauna is now ready for use! Enjoy and relax.

Dimension

  • Before you begin, be sure the sauna will fit in your chosen location.
  • Approximately L x W x H of 7’ x 7’ x 7’ is ideal. Overall dimensions are shown here.
  • Be sure the site is level and free of standing water after rainfall.
  • Concrete, pavers or crushed stone is preferred.

Installation

STEP ONE

  • Measure support cradles (A) diagonally from corner to corner.
  • Measurements “a” and “b” should be equal to ensure the cradles are square.

STEP TWO

  • Place the support cradles (A) on the level site. Carefully level for better stability.
  • Place the center stave (B) on wooden dowels embedded in outer support cradles (A).
  • Fix center stave (B) to cradles with screws 4.2 x 70 (N).THERMORY-Barrel-No-53-Steam-Sauna-Bath-fig- \(7\)

STEP THREE

  • Place 6 sauna body staves (C) to each side of the center stave (B) and fix with screws 4.2 x 70 (N).

STEP FOUR

  • Place the front panel with sauna doors (F2) and rear panel (E2) into the trimmed grooves. Be sure each panel is centered, leveled, and completely seated into the floor panel.
  • Bind these panels together by temporarily placing one or two body stave (C) on top of them.THERMORY-Barrel-No-53-Steam-Sauna-Bath-fig- \(9\)

STEP FIVE

  • Two front side panels (F, F1) attach to the front panel (F2) and two back side panels (E, E1) attach to the rear panel (E2) by 4 screws 5.0 x 120 (M) and 4 stainless steel screws 4.20 x 70 (N1).
  • Be sure the bench supports face the interior of the sauna.
  • Confirm that the combined width of the rear wall (E, E2, E1) matches the combined width of the front wall (F, F2, F1).THERMORY-Barrel-No-53-Steam-Sauna-Bath-fig- \(10\)

STEP SIX

  • Continue placing body staves (C) tightly on both sides of the sauna using a rubber mallet, while fixing body staves on the front panel with 4.2 x 70 screws.
  • To finish the rooftop joint, use the top stave (H).THERMORY-Barrel-No-53-Steam-Sauna-Bath-fig- \(11\)

STEP SEVEN

  • Install steel bands (I) by wrapping bands around the barrel before connecting them with bolts and nuts (U).
  • Place steel bands evenly around the barrel, covering screw heads.
  • Measure from a steel band to the barrel edge to ensure the steel band is even.
  • Cover the roof with roof tape.
  • Rub and smooth with pressure to ensure adhesion.
  • Install interior aspen roof trim (O) with 4.0 x 50 (P1) stainless steel screws.THERMORY-Barrel-No-53-Steam-Sauna-Bath-fig- \(12\)

STEP EIGHT

  • Attach the bench supporting leg (J1) to the bench (J), and install two sauna benches on wall mounts using stainless steel screws 4.2 x 70 (N1).
  • Hold the seat and leg assembly tight to the sauna wall. Using a level, make sure the bench seat is level from front to back. This will ensure proper placement.

STEP NINE
Flooring duckboards (L) can be used for wiring runs, confirm specific wiring runs needed for the chosen stove.

STEP TEN

  • Place waterproof roof cover (Z) and fix it with a wooden slat (Z1) and screws 4.0 x 50 (P).
