Do not operate the device while third parties are in the danger zone.

The device is intended to be operated on tarmac and paved surfaces. Do not operate it on walls or ceiling.

Dispose of used packaging material carefully or store it out of the reach of children. There is a danger of suffocation!

The unit is designed for operation in altitudes of up to 2000 m above sea level.

Ensure a safety distance to other persons or animals while working.

Never place your hands or feet towards or under the rotating brush roller. Never grasp into the rotating brush roller. Keep your clothes away from the rotating brush roller. Do not wear any loose clothing (e. g. scarf) during work.

During operation small stones or other objects may be thrown away violently. Wear solid shoes and long
trousers when operating the device. Wear safety goggles. The machine is capable of generating high levels of noise. Wear hearing protection when operating the device. Always be aware of the position of the power cable. Do not trip over the cable and make sure the power cable cannot be cut by the device. Always keep the power cable out of the work area of the device. There is a risk of electric shock. -
Hold the device firmly with both hands during operation.

Only use the device in daylight or good artificial light. Never use it when the visibility is bad.

Do not use the device close to garden ponds, swimming pools or other bodies of water. Do not expose the device to rain or excessively humidity.

Please take care that the brush roller does not jam during operation. A long-term jam can damage the device. If the rotating brush roller is blocked by an obstacle, immediately release the ON/OFF trigger, disconnect the power cord and free the brush roller.

Do not jam the cord or pull cord around edges. Do not pinch the power cord in any way and keep it away from hot surfaces. Do not wind the cord around the unit and do not bend it.

Before cleaning or maintaining, first disconnect the plug from power mains. Do not pull the cord to unplug from the wall socket but grasp the plug itself to unplug.

For power tools with type Y attachment: If the replacement of the power cord is necessary, this has to be done by the manufacturer or this agent in order to avoid a safety hazard.

For operation outdoors, we recommend the use of a residual current device.

Before using the device, check for damages and do not use a damaged device. Should the device become damaged do not use it and have it repaired by a professional or contact our customer support department. Do not disassemble the device or try repairing it yourself.

- Health defects resulting from vibration emission if the product in being used over long periods of time or not adequately managedand properly maintained.
- Injuries and damage to property due to broken application tools or the sudden impact of hidden objects during use.
- Danger of injury and property damage caused by flying objects.
Operation
Intended Use
- The device is designed loosen stubborn dirt and grime indoors and outdoors with its brush roller.
- The intended use also includes an operation following the operating instructions.
- Any use beyond these parameters (different media, applying force) or any changes (reconstruction, no original accessory) can lead to serious risks and is regarded as use that is contrary to the intended purpose. The operator is liable for any damage caused by improper use.
Before first Use
- Remove the device and all additional parts out of the packaging.
- Check all parts for damage in transit and do not use a damaged device.
- Keep packaging materials out of reach of children. There is risk of suffocation!
Assembly
Stick both parts of the machine together, make sure both parts are aligned properly. Secure the connection by fastening the locking nut (10) hand tight.
Operation

Make sure the power mains voltage corresponds to the operating voltage stated on the type label.

Use only suitable extension cords for outdoor use. Preferably use extension cords with a cable H07RN-F; 3 x 1.5 mm2 . If in doubt, refer to a professional.

We recommend using a residual current circuit breaker with a nominal residual current of ≤ 30 mA, as available from Westphalia under article no. 66 72 61.
1. Secure the extension cord one the strain relief hook (7) by forming a loop, as shown in the right picture.
2. To switch on the device press the safety button (4) first and then press the ON/OFF trigger (6). Release the safety button.

With the speed adjusting wheel (3) you can sleeplessly set the speed of the bush roller.
Adjusting the Working Length
- For adjusting the working length of the device loosen the sleeve nut (1) by turning clockwise (right hand threads).
- Press the unlock button (8) und pull resp. push the tube forth and back.
- Release the unlock button in order to adjust the length according to you needs. Let the shaft snap into the closest step.
- Secure the shaft by tightening the sleeve nut (1) before resuming work.
Changing the Brush Roller
- Press the lock/unlock button (11) and remove the housing cheek (12).
- Remove the brush roller (13) from the unit.
- Insert a new roller intended for the device.
- Re-attach the cheek to the housing and press the lock/unlock button (11), so the housing cheek can snap in place. Make sure the cheek is securely locked in place before resuming work.
Usage Hints
- If necessary moisten the surface lightly and use the device like a broom.
- Draw it over the ground in straight lines and loosen the dirt from the ground.
- Do not keep the rotating brushes in one place for extended time, the surface may be marked.
Operation on artificial Grass
For usage on artificial grass to lift the fibers in an upright position, first adjust the speed adjusting wheel (3) to level 4 – 5.
- Position the device on the artificial grass and switch on by pressing the safety button first and then ON/OFF trigger. Release the safety button after triggering.
- Pull the device towards the operator and let it roll away from the operator by the force of the brush itself.
- Repeat these movements while moving across the artificial grass. For artificial grass, the rough dirt blue brush, article no. 89 36 95 is best.
Cleaning
- Always pull the power plug before undertaken maintenance work on the device.
- If lumps of earth or plants are stuck in the brush roller while working, first turn off the device. Start the motor only for a moment. The blockage will be cleared by the movement of the brush roller.
- Should it be necessary to loosen the dirt by hand, first disconnect the power cord for your safety.
- Use a stiff brush and a dry cloth to clean the device; do not use aggressive chemicals or abrasives for cleaning.
- Do not allow liquids of any kind to enter the device.
Storing
- Clean the device before storing it.
- Before storing check all parts and the power cable for damages.
- Store the device indoors in dry place that is protected from dust and dirt and extreme temperatures.

- The declared vibration total value and the declared noise emission values have been measured in accordance with a standard test method and may be used for comparing one tool with another. The declared vibration total value may also be used in a preliminary assessment of exposure.
Warning!
The vibration and noise emission during actual use of the power tool can
differ from the declared total value depending on the ways in which the tool
is used, in particular, what kind of work piece is machined. It is necessary
to identify safety measured to protect the operator that are based on an
estimation of exposure in the actual conditions of use (taking account of all
parts of the operating cycle such as the times when the tool is switched off
and when it is running idle in addition to the trigger time). Try to minimize
the impact of vibration and noise. Exemplary measures to reduce vibration
exposure include wearing gloves while using the tool, limiting working time,
and using accessories in good condition.
