Product Usage Instructions:
Installation
The Soundbar 8000 Series can be installed in two ways:
Option 1: Position on the table
- Place the soundbar in front of your TV or audio source.
- Connect the soundbar to the power outlet using the provided power cord.
- Connect the audio source to the soundbar using HDMI, optical, AUX, or Bluetooth.
- Pair the remote control with the soundbar.
- Switch on the soundbar using the power button.
Option 2: Wall mount installation
- Attach the wall bracket to the soundbar using the provided screws.
- Mount the wall bracket on the wall at a suggested height of 50mm/2.0″ from the bottom of the TV or audio source.
- Connect the soundbar to the power outlet using the provided power cord.
- Connect the audio source to the soundbar using HDMI, optical, AUX, or Bluetooth.
- Pair the remote control with the soundbar.
- Switch on the soundbar using the power button.
Connecting to Audio Sources
The Soundbar 8000 Series can be connected to various audio sources including
TV, Bluetooth devices, and other audio systems.
Follow the below steps to connect your audio sources:
Option 1: HDMI Connection
- Connect one end of an HDMI cable to the HDMI IN port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI OUT (eARC/ARC) port on your TV.
- If your TV does not have an HDMI out (eARC/ARC) port, use an optical or AUX cable instead.
- Switch on the soundbar and select the HDMI input using the remote control.
Option 2: Optical Connection
- Connect one end of an optical cable to the OPTICAL IN port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end of the optical cable to the OPTICAL OUT port on your TV or audio source.
- Switch on the soundbar and select the optical input using the remote control.
Option 3: AUX Connection
- Connect one end of an AUX cable to the AUX IN port on the soundbar.
- Connect the other end of the AUX cable to the AUX OUT port on your TV or audio source.
- Switch on the soundbar and select the AUX input using the remote control.
Option 4: Bluetooth Connection
- Enable Bluetooth on your audio source device (phone, tablet, laptop).
- Select ‘Philips Soundbar’ from the list of available Bluetooth devices.
- Pair your device with the soundbar by following the prompts.
- Start playing audio on your device and it should play through the soundbar.
Controlling the Soundbar
The Soundbar 8000 Series can be controlled using the provided remote control or through voice commands using Google Home. Follow the below steps to control your soundbar:
Using Remote Control
- Power on/off: Press the power button on the remote control.
- Volume control: Use the volume up/down buttons to adjust the volume.
- Input selection: Use the input button to switch between HDMI, optical, AUX, and Bluetooth inputs.
- Surround sound: Use the surround button to enable/disable surround sound.
Voice Control using Google Home
- Download and install the Google Home app on your phone or tablet.
- Follow the prompts to set up Google Home and link it to your soundbar.
- Use voice commands to control your soundbar, such as “Hey Google, turn up the volume on my Philips Soundbar”.
