Setting up and Connecting
Set up the speakers on a flat surface and align them to the ears of the listener. The tweeters should be at ear level if possible. Do not place the speakers too close to walls or in corners; this will distort the frequency response and impede any heat dissipation of the integrated amplifier.
Connecting an audio source
To connect an audio source with line level (e. g. CD player, mixer output,
line output of a computer), a 6.3 mm jack (2) and an XLR connector (3) are
available which can be used alternatively.
Both inputs are balanced. To connect audio sources with unbalanced signals,
use a 2-pole 6.3 mm plug for the 6.3 mm jack or a corresponding adapter for
the XLR connector (bridge between pin 1 and pin 3).
The contacts of both inputs are directly connected to each other so that the
second input can also be used to forward the signal, e. g. to another active
speaker.
Power supply
For power supply, use the mains cable provided to connect the IEC connector
“230 V~/ 50 Hz”(5) to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz).
Operation
-
To prevent the initial volume from being too high, turn the control VOL (1) to the left stop (position “−∞”) before switching on for the first time.
-
Use the ON / OFF switch (4) to switch on the speaker system. The power indicator on the front (below the tweeter) lights up.
-
Use the control VOL (1) to set the desired volume.
CAUTION
Never adjust a very high volume. Permanent high volumes may damage your hearing! -
Switch off the speaker system after use.
Note: To avoid switching noise, always switch on the devices connected before switching on the speakers. After use, switch off the speakers first.
