Product Information

The product is an LED tape luminaire that can be installed on a mounting surface. The luminaire consists of various components including extrusion, joiners, LED tape, end caps, and lens. The luminaire can be connected to a low voltage power supply and comes with different connection options including plug-in connection and direct connection. The installation must comply with all current national and local electrical codes to prevent any electric shock.

Product Usage Instructions

1. If the profile consists of multiple lengths, connect them with appropriate joiners (b) and tighten them with provided set screws. See the table below to identify the joiner type.
2. Install the profile on the mounting surface using flat head screws #8 (by others).
3. Press and glue the LED tape (c) into the extrusion (a).
4. Align the electrical wire from the LED tape with the groove on the end cap (d). Clip the end caps to either side of the extrusion.
5. Clip the lens (e) into place.
6. Connect the luminaire to a low voltage power supply using either a plug-in connection or direct connection. The installation must comply with all current national and local electrical codes.
7. To prevent electric shock, power should be turned off from the electrical panel before starting the installation or maintenance process.

• Press and glue the LED tape (c) into the extrusion (a).
  

• Align the electrical wire from the LED tape with the groove on the end cap (d). Clip the end caps to the either side of the extrusion.
  

• Clip the lens (e) into place.
  

Optional:
Clean the back surface of the extrusion and the installation surface. Make sure there is no oily residue on the surfaces. Apply 3M double-sided mounting tape (by others) to the back surface of the extrusion. Attach the luminaire to the mounting surface with mounting tape.

• Make electrical connections (pp. 3-4).

ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS

See the the next page for different connection options depending on LED tape and dimmer types.

WARNING: RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK
To prevent electric shock, power should be turned off from the electrical panel before installation or maintenance process. INSTALLATION MUST COMPLY WITH ALL CURRENT NATIONAL AND LOCAL ELECTRICAL CODES.

1. LOW VOLTAGE CONNECTION
2. A HARDWIRE CONNECTION

  * Join the black wire from the LED tape (1) (-) with the black output wire from the low voltage power supply (2).
  * Join the white or red LED tape wire (+) to the white or red power supply output wire.
  * Use appropriate twist-on (or equivalent) connectors to isolate wires.  

2. PLUG-IN CONNECTION WITH DC PLUG  

Connect input connector of the LED tape (1) to the output connector of the low voltage power supply (2).

2. LINE VOLTAGE CONNECTION
   • Pass the main power feed (not included) and power supply input cable (3) into junction box (not included).
   • Connect the white (N, Neutral) cables from the power feed and from the power supply.
   • Connect the black (L, Live) cables from the power feed and from the power supply.
   • Connect the copper, green or yellow (G, ground) wires from the power supply, power feed, and the junction box. Use appropriate twist-on connectors (not included).
   • Install the junction box cover (not included).
