RESIONE D01S Dental Model Resin

The Product Description

D01 is a yellow-orange high-precision dental model resin. Prints have accurate dimensions, scratch-resistant surface, and can withstand the short-term high temperature of the vacuum moulding process. It is suitable for printing restoration、implant、study and orthodontic dental models. At the same time, the prints are easy to clean. D01S is a seashell-colored dental model resin with nano-inorganic powder added. The surface of the printed dental model is matte and has a plaster texture to ensure that it can be scanned accurately. The size is accurate, the surface is scratch-resistant, the shrinkage rate is extremely low, and it will not warp for a long time. It is suitable for printing restoration, plant and study dental models.

Printing

If the dental model is hollow and no support is added at the bottom, it is necessary to punch holes near the bottom of the model (as shown in the figure below) to prevent the formation of a “vacuum sucker” and cause printing failure;

Use the standard resin settings of the printer brand you successfully printed as the “Standard Settings” (25-30°C), otherwise, use the default standard resin settings of the printer (or slicer) as the “Standard Settings”. Then follow the following method to set the settings of RESIONE resin according to the “Standard Settings”

Standard Settings D01 Settings D01S Settings
Layer Height(mm) 50 50 50
Bottom Exposure Time(s) A 1.5*A 1.5*A
Exposure Time(s) B 1.3*B 1.25*B
Light-off Delay (s) D D+1 D+1.5
Bottom Lift Distance(mm) E E+1 E+2
Lifting Distance(mm) F F+1 F+1.5

Note

  • When the room temperature during printing is 18℃-24℃, change the settings as follows:
    • Bottom exposure time: (RESIONE resin settings) +15%
    • Normal exposure time: (RESIONE resin settings) +15%
    • Light-off Delay time: (RESIONE resin settings) +1s
    • It is recommended to heat the resin if the printing is still not successful.(The heating temperature is 60-80℃, heating time is10mins). And it is not recommended for printing at room temperature lower than 18℃
  • The lifting of some printers can be divided into two stages. All the above settings for lifting only for to the first stage. The lifting speed of the first stage is generally very slow, no need to change
  • If the print is difficult to shovel off the build plate or is shattered, the exposure time of the bottom layer can be reduced to reduce the adhesion of the print to the metal plate
  • The calculation of the above printing parameters is based on the experimental results of the RESIONE laboratory and is for reference only.

Cleaning and Post-curing

Cleaning: You can use ethanol(concentration≥95%), or IPA. D01 resin prints can be cleaned with ultrasonic cleaning or a special cleaning machine for 3D printing and the cleaning time is less than 1min, while D01S resin prints are recommended to be cleaned with a toothbrush and a cleaning time of D01S is less than 4min. After cleaning, use compressed air to dry the prints. (Why does D01S resin need to be cleaned with a toothbrush? Because some printers have an anti-aliasing effect, it is easy to produce a layer of incompletely cured resin on the surface of the print, which makes it difficult to clean. The use of ultrasonic cleaning can easily lead to defects on the surface of the print. However, the cleaning effect of the special cleaning machine for 3D printing is weak, which can easily cause the surface of the D01S print to become white.)

Post-curingRESIONE-D01S-Dental-Model-Resin-fig-2

If you use a post-curing box with a power of 40W, our recommended post-curing time is about 20min*2 (Adjust the post-curing time according to the power of the post-curing box, the greater the power, the shorter the time). So you can get a dry surface print. Both the front and back of the dental model need to be post-cured to prevent the print from shrinking and deforming.

Attention

  • Too long post-curing time will make the resin prints easy to warping, hard and brittle.
  • The resin prints will be fragile after post-curing. It is not recommended to apply force to the prints immediately. Just need to wait for a while until the internal stress of the prints is completely released.
