Safety Instructions:

  1. Before using for the first time, please check if the voltage rating on the type plate corresponds to the mains voltage in your home, if not, please contact with the seller.
  2. Use a grounded wall socket; the cord and plug must be thy.
  3. Unfold the AC cord completely before using.
  4. Make sure to unplug the appliance from the socket when leaving the iron even for a short while, and stand the iron on its end. Please leave the iron away from children. Take care of the iron when it is on.
  5. The iron will reach high temperatures when used; never touch it with your hand or use close to flammable products in order to avoid accidents.
  6. Caution: Unplug the appliance from the socket before filling the iron with water or pouring out the remaining water.
  7. Minerals in the water will generate scaling and block the steam hole, therefore it is recommended to use distilled water.
  8. Use the iron only as described in this instruction manual.
  9. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used near children. Do not leave an iron unattended while connected or on an ironing board. Bums can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water, or steam.
  10. Keep the iron out of reach of children.
  11. The iron should never be left unattended while it is connected to the mains supply.
  12. Unplug the iron from the mains electrical supply before cleaning, filling with water or emptying the water tank and immediately after use
  13. Never operate the iron with a damaged power cord or plug, or after it has fallen or has been damaged in any way. To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not disassemble the iron, take it to a qualified serviceman for examination and repair.
  14. Do not let the cord touch hot surfaces.
  15. To protect against risk of electric hazards, do not immerse the iron in water or any other liquid.
  16. When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable.
  17. The iron is not to be used if it has been dropped, if there are visible signs of damage or if it is leaking.

BEFORE FIRST USE:

  1. It is normal for small amount of smoke to be produced the first time the iron is used; this will quickly disappear.
  2. When using the steam function for the first time, do not direct the steam towards the laundry, as there could be debris from the steam vents.
  3. Before using for the first time, remove any sticker or protective foil from the soleplate. Clean the soleplate with a soft cloth.
  4. Keep the soleplate smooth: avoid hard contact with metal objects (such as clothes rack, buttons, or zippers).
  5. Pure woolen fabrics (100% wool) may be pressed with the iron set to a steam position. Preferably set the steam regulator to HI and use a dry pressing cloth.

Filling with Water:

  1. Set the steam regulator to 0 (=no steam) (only for steam iron).
  2. Hold the iron by hand and slant the iron 45° down, open the Water Filling Cover ifany.
  3. Fill the water in the tank through the Water-Filling Hole, if the water is too hard, it is advisable to use distilled water.
  4. Wipe off the water over the exterior; pour out the remaining water after use.

Dry Ironing:

  1. Before running the iron, please classify the clothes as per its washing label, as it will be quicker for the iron to heat up than to cool. The clothes with lower ironing temperature (such as synthetic fabric, silk etc) shall be ironed first, and then iron the clothes with higher temperature ironing (such as wool, cotton and linen etc.).
  2. Stand the iron on its end, and turn the thermostat dial to the MIN position.
  3. Plug in the iron and select the temperature by turning the thermostat dial. If there is water in the reservoir, turn the steam regulator to OFF position. Wait until the indicator light goes off showing that the required temperature has been reached.

Steam Ironing:

  1. Fill water in the iron tank as per the water-filling instructions.
  2. Plug the appliance in the socket.
  3. Set the thermostat dial to MAX position as per the temperature indicator, and steam iron will be available; otherwise, water may leak from the soleplate.
  4. The ironing temperature has been reached when the indicator light goes off.
  5. Set the steam regulator as needed, increase or decrease the steam output by rotating the steam regulator.
    Caution: Synthetic Fabric, Nylon, Synthetic Silk and Silk cannot be ironed using steam, as it will damage the finish of surface.

Spraying Methods:

  1. Fill the water in the iron as per water-filling instructions.
  2. Press the water spray button.
    Note: No matter if you are steam ironing or dry ironing is, Spray will always be available in any case.

Caution: If the fabric consists of various types of fibers, always select the lowest ironing temperature of the composition of those fibers.

Cleaning and Maintenance:

Before cleaning, remove the plug from the socket and allow the iron to cool down sufficiently.

  1. Wipe off the soleplate with a damp cloth and a non-abrasive (liquid) cleaner.
  2. If fiber is adhered to the soleplate, use a damp cloth with vinegar to wipe off the soleplate.
  3. Never use strong cleaners in order to avoid damaging the soleplate.
  4. If scale blocks the steam hole, please remove the scale with a toothpick; do not damage the surface of the soleplate.
  5. Stand the iron on its end and let it cool down sufficiently, pour any remaining water out of the box, and set the steam regulator to position “0”.
Problem Possible Reasons Solution
