IMPORTANT NOTES/SAFETY NOTICES
- Read this instruction manual carefully before using the lamp! Observe the safety instructions during installation. Retain this instruction manual for future reference. If the device is passed on to third parties, these operating instructions must also be passed on.
- Cease use of the device if it is damaged in any way.
- Do not swallow any small parts. Keep small parts out of the reach of children. This product is not suitable for children. This product is not a toy! Keep the device out of the reach of children.
- Never attempt to replace the LED. The LED light cannot be replaced.
- This device is NOT a toy – keep out of the reach of children.
- Make sure that the skin, eyes and mucous membranes never come into contact with battery fluid or acid. In the event of contact with battery fluid, immediately rinse the affected areas with plenty of clean water and seek medical advice.
- The product is not suitable for household room lighting.
TIPS:
- Choose a location for the device that receives as much direct sunshine as possible during the day. Avoid areas under trees or bushes, as these will prevent the device from charging properly.
- Do not install the device in the vicinity of an existing outdoor light. The built-in sensor will prevent the solar light from being switched on.
- If you use the light in autumn and winter, please note that the battery may not be fully charged due to fewer daylight hours. This can affect the lighting duration.
- Keep the light away from sources of heat (such as barbecues) and open flames.
- The selected location, weather conditions and number of daylight hours directly influence the actual lighting duration.
- NOTE: The light sensor only allows the light to be activated in the dark. We recommend a test in a dark room or in a closet.
INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Remove all packaging material from the device BEFORE
installation.
Variant 1: Wall mounting (#2) – for an outside wall, fence post or
railing
Place the wall mounting bar on the wall as shown in #2A and determine the best
position. Then use a pencil or nail to mark the drilling points on the wall
through the holes in the wall mounting bar. If necessary, use a drill (not
included) to drill holes in the desired position on the wall/surface. Now
insert three dowels into the holes on the wall and fasten the wall mounting
bar to the wall with the screws. Now you can hang the device on the wall
mounting bar as shown in #2B.
Variant 2: Ground installation (#3)
CAUTION: Before embedding the holder in the ground, make sure that the
ground is soft enough. Hard ground can damage or break the ground stake.
Insert the ground spike into the hole on the rear of the solar panel (#3A)
and adjust the angle so that the lamp receives enough sunlight during the day.
Place the ground spike vertically into the ground (#3B).
USE
MODE 1: Security mode
The light automatically switches to this mode when it is dark. If there is
movement, the light switches on for 30 seconds with 100% luminosity and
then switches off automatically if no further movement is detected within 30
seconds.
Activating security mode: If you want to use this mode, press the
function switch (d) on the back of the device once.
MODE 2: Homecoming mode
When there is movement, the light switches on for 30 seconds with 100%
luminosity and then continues to illuminate for another 5 minutes with
approx. 30% luminosity. It then switches itself off again until further
movement is detected.
Activating the homecoming mode: To activate the homecoming mode, press
briefly on the function switch (d) once more after Mode 1 (i.e. twice in
total).
MODE 3: OFF (switched off)
To switch off, briefly press the function switch once after Mode 2.
NOTE: If your light switches off in the dark, activate it by long
pressing the function switch – if the light flashes 3 times, then this means
that the battery is only partially charged. This means the lamp is NOT
defective! Place the lamp in a sunlit environment to thoroughly charge it. You
can then continue to use it as normal.
CLEANING
For optimal charging, wipe the solar panel regularly with a damp cloth. A
clean solar panel takes in more solar energy.
