Congratulations on your purchase.
You have selected a quality product. The instructions for use are a part of
the product. They contain important information about the safety, use and
disposal of the product. Before using the product, please learn about all the
safety information and usage instructions. Only use the product as described
and for the specified applications. If you lend the product to someone else,
please also give all the instructions.
Intended use
This Bluetooth ® lantern speaker (hereinafter referred to as “product”) is a
consumer electronic intended to render audio transmitted via Bluetooth ®or a
jack lead connection. The built-in rechargeable battery allows for cordless
operation. The product is signed for private use and must not be used for
commercial purposes.
Any other use is considered improper. Any claims resulting from improper use or due to unauthorized modification of the speaker will be considered unwarranted. Any such use is at your own risk.

Failure to observe the following warnings can result in death or serious injuries.
- DANGER TO LIFE AND RISK OF ACCIDENT FOR INFANTS AND CHILDREN!
- Suffocation hazard! Never leave children unsupervised with the packaging material. The packaging material poses a suffocation hazard. Children frequently underestimate the dangers. The packaging material is not a toy.
- This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the product by a person responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the product.
- Changes or modifications to this product not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user‘s authority to operate the product.
- Do not place burning candles or other open fire on or next to the product.
- If you notice smoke or unusual noise or odor, switch the product off immediately and remove the USB cable.
- Do not throw the product into fire or expose it to high temperatures.
- Do not cover the product during use or charging.
- Only charge the battery in dry environments, since the product is not splash proof.
NOTICE
This product has been tested and complies with the limits for a Class B
digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are
designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a
residential installation. This product generates, uses and can radiate radio
frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference in radio communications. However,
there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular
installation.
If this product causes harmful interference to radio or television reception,
which can be determined by turning the product off and on, the user is
encouraged to try and correct the interference by one or more of the following
measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the distance between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the product to an outlet on a circuit different from that to which
the receiver is connected.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
This product complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to
the following two conditions:
(1) This product may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this product must
accept any interference received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.
Wireless interference
Turn the device off on airplanes, in hospitals, service rooms or near medical
electronic systems. The wireless signals transmitted could impact the
functionality of sensitive electronics. Keep the device at least 7.874 in (20
cm) from pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators, as the
electromagnetic radiation may impair the functionality of pacemakers. The
radio waves transmitted could cause interference in hearing aids. Do not place
the device near flammable gasses or potentially explosives areas (e.g. paint
shops) with the wireless components on, as the radio waves emitted can cause
explosions and fire. The range of the radio waves varies by environmental
conditions. In the event of wireless data transmission, unauthorized third
parties receiving the data cannot be excluded. Lidl US LLC is not responsible
for interference with radios or televisions due to unauthorized modification
of the device. Lidl US LLC further assumes no liability for using or replacing
cables and devices not distributed by Lidl US LLC. The user of the device is
fully responsible for correcting interference caused by such unauthorized
modification of the device, as well as replacement of such devices. The RF
Exposure Compliance distance is 0.2 in/5 mm.
- This product does not contain any parts which can be serviced by the user. The rechargeable battery cannot be replaced.
- Check the product before every use! Discontinue use if any damage to the product or the charging cable is detected!
- Sudden temperature changes may cause condensation inside the product. In this case, allow the product to acclimate for some time before using it again to prevent short circuits!
- Do not operate the product near heat sources, e.g. heaters or other devices emitting heat!
- Do not try to open the product! It has no internal parts requiring maintenance.
Safety instructions for built-in rechargeable batteries
WARNING Failure to observe the following warnings may result in fatal
or serious injuries.
DANGER TO LIFE! Keep batteries/rechargeable batteries out of reach of
children. If accidentally swallowed, seek immediate medical attention.

DANGER OF EXPLOSION!
Never recharge disposable batteries. Do not short-circuit batteries/rechargeable batteries and/or open them. They may overheat, ignite or explode. -
Never throw batteries/rechargeable batteries into fire or water.

Do not exert mechanical loads to batteries/ rechargeable batteries.
-
Batteries should not be disassembled, crushed, punctured, opened or otherwise mutilated.
Risk of battery leakage
CAUTION Failure to observe the following warnings can result in
injuries or property damage.
- Avoid extreme environmental conditions and temperatures which could affect batteries/rechargeable batteries, e.g. radiators/direct sunlight.
- Avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. In the event of contact with battery acid, thoroughly flush the affected area with plenty of clean water and seek immediate medical attention.
- WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES! Leaked or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries can cause burns on contact with the skin. In this event always wear suitable safety gloves.
- This product contains an integrated battery which cannot be replaced by the user. The battery may only be removed or replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service or by a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
Before use
- Before use, verify the package contents are complete and undamaged!
- Place the device on a level, even surface for operation.
Charging

The integrated rechargeable battery must be charged prior to first use.
Note: This product may not be charged via the USB port of notebooks etc. -
When the integrated rechargeable battery is drained, a signal will sound every 2 minutes. The LED will flash red. The integrated rechargeable battery should then be charged as soon as possible.

Depending on the volume and the age of the battery, the operating time for the device is 8 hours playback music or 7.5 hours lantern light (at 50 % lumen) playback when fully charged.

Open the protective cover 3 .

Insert the USB-C plug of the charging cable 12 into the USB-C socket 1 of the Bluetooth ® speaker. Insert the USB plug of the charging cable into the USB port on a PC or a USB adapter (not included).
Note: The LED will light up red whilst charging and goes out once charging is completed. The charging time for a drained battery is 6.5 hours.
Note: The speaker cannot be used while it is charging. -
Once charging is complete, remove the USB-C plug of the charging cable and close the protective cover so the device is splash-proof again.
Using the Bluetooth speaker
Press and hold the Play/Pause button 9 until the signal LED 5a flashes white
and a sound sequence is emitted. The speaker will now attempt to connect to
the playback device (e.g. smartphone or computer).
Establishing a Bluetooth® connection:
- Remove all plugs from the AUX stereo jack 2 before you establish a Bluetooth ® radio link.
- Switch on the playback device and approve the connection. Please note the software requirements for the playback device. The LED 5a will light up white and a signal tone sequence is emitted.
- The speaker identification on the playback device will be SBL 5WL A1.
- Press and hold the Bluetooth button 11 for 2 seconds until the signal LED 5a flashes white and a signal tone sequence is emitted. The speaker will now attempt to connect to the playback device (e.g. smartphone or computer). Once Bluetooth ® connected and LED white color will flash every 5 sec. on product.
- The maximum range of the connection is 32 ft 9 45/64 in (10 m) but may be reduced to the geometry of the space (obstructing furniture, walls, etc.).
- The playback device must support Bluetooth ® standard 5.0. Otherwise you may not be able to use all the functions listed below.
Functions of the Bluetooth speaker buttons
Start a playlist on your playback device. Changing the volume on the Bluetooth
speaker changes the volume of the playback device. The volume on the Bluetooth
® speaker can be adjusted as described below. Music is played back through the
speakers 4 .
Note: The volume synchronize function depends on the Android version and
on the brand of mobile phone. The Bluetooth ® speaker has 5 buttons. They
control the following functions:

– Hold during playback: previous song in the playlist
| – Press and hold the button 11 2 seconds to enable/disable the Bluetooth
connection.
| – Press for 1 second once: 100 % lumen
– Press for 1 second twice: 50 % lumen
– Press for 1 second three times: switch off the light
Use Bluetooth speaker via AUX stereo jack
Note: Music playback via cable takes priority over music playback via
Bluetooth ® . Music playback from a Bluetooth ® source is therefore
interrupted once the jack lead 13 is plugged into the jack 2 . The LED 5a
lights up green.
- Turn on the sound source.
- If the Bluetooth® speaker is off, press and hold the button 9 until the signal LED lights up green and a signal tone sequence is emitted.
- Start playback on the sound source and adjust the volume to the highest possible volume. Adjust the volume on the speaker using the button 6 (up) or the button 10 (down).
- Start playing music on the sound source.
- Turn ON both products and make sure they are both not connected to another device via Bluetooth ®
- Press the button 11 on one of the products which will then by default set it as the “primary“ unit. A beep will sound. When pairing between both products has been carried out successfully, the LED 5a of the connected “secondary“ unit stops flashing and a sequence of beeps will sound. The “primary“ unit LED 5a will still be flashing waiting to pair with the playback device. Once the “primary“ unit has successfully paired with the playback device both the “primary“ and “secondary“ units can be played and controlled synchronously during Bluetooth ® playback mode.
- Press the button 11 again to break the TWS pairing connection, the LED 5a on the connected “secondary“ unit flashes and a signal tone sequence is emitted.
Note: The product which had its button 11 pressed first will become the “primary“ unit (in the left audio channel), and the other unit will then by default become the “secondary“ unit (in the right audio channel).
S witching between AUX-in connection and the Bluetooth connection
To resume music playback via Bluetooth® connection, please unplug the jack
lead 13 from the speaker. It will scan for the previously paired device (if
any) and automatically reconnect via Bluetooth ® .
The Aux-in connection takes priority over the Bluetooth ® connection as
follows: Once the jack lead 13 is plugged into the jack 2 , the Bluetooth ®
wireless connection is disconnected. The music playback is switched to AUX-in
only and the LED 5a lights up green.
Lantern light on/off/dimmer
Press the lantern light once 7 for 1 second to turn on the light, press for 1
second again to have 50 % lumen, press for 1 second a third time to switch off
the light.
Note: when use lantern light and audio playback in same time, the audio
playback time will be
reduce.
Cleaning
- Switch the device off, remove all plugs, and close the protective cover 3 before cleaning!
- Only clean the outside of the device, using a soft, dry cloth!
Storage during non-use
Notice Store the product in a dry environment when not in use. Protect it
from dust and direct sunlight. The rechargeable battery needs to be charged
regularly.

Switch the Bluetooth® speaker off and on again.
Press the Bluetooth ® button 11 to start a new connection process. Then you
need to re-establish the Bluetooth ® connection to your player.
Press the button 6 to increase the volume.
Error operating the playback device.
Increase the volume on the playback device.
No music playback via cable connection
- Error connecting the cable.
- Reconnect the cable to the playback device.
- The volume of the+ playback device or the loudspeaker has to be increased.
Disposal
Dispose of the packaging through your local recycling facilities and in
compliance with all federal, state and local regulations.
Please note the package markings regarding waste separation, indicated by
abbreviations (a) and numbers (b), meaning: 1–7: plastics20–22: paper and
cardboard / 80–98: composite materials.
Contact your local waste management authority for additional information on
how to dispose of the used product.
To help protect the environment, please dispose of the product properly when
it has reached the end of its useful life, do not throw in the garbage.
Information on collection sites and their opening hours is available from your
local authority.
This disposal is free of charge to you.
Protect the environment and dispose of properly.
The product is recyclable, subject to extended manufacturer responsibility,
and collected separately.
The built-in rechargeable battery cannot be removed for disposal. Return the
product completely to a collection site for used electronics.
Three year limited warranty
What does this warranty cover?
The warranty covers:
- Damage, breakage or inoperability due to defect.
- Damage not caused by normal wear and tear or failure to follow the safety and maintenance instructions provided in the user manual.
What is not covered by the warranty?
The warranty does not cover damage caused by:
- Normal wear and tear of the product, including fragile parts (such as switches, glass, etc.);
- Improper use or transport; · Disregarding safety and maintenance instructions;
- Accidents or acts of nature (e.g. lightning, fire, water, etc.);
- Tampering with the product (such as removing cover, unscrewing screws etc.).
Consequential and incidental damages are also not covered under this warranty. However, some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so this limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
What is the period of coverage and warranty resolution?
The warranty is for 3 years from the date of purchase. At our discretion,
product will either be refunded or replaced.
What will we not do?
We will not:
- Start a new warranty period upon product exchange;
- Repair product.

What must you do to keep the warranty in effect?
- Retain the original receipt;
- Follow all product instructions;
- Do not repair or modify the product.
How does state law relate to this warranty?
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other
rights which vary from state to state. All implied warranties are limited by
the duration and terms of this warranty. Some states do not allow limitations
on how long an implied warranty acts, so the above limitation may not apply
to you.
