The multifunctional Dräger PX4500 for testing tasks on natural gas pipelines, liquid gas pipelines and drinking water installations is particularly handy and light, yet very robust. Its large touch screen makes it particularly user- friendly. The industrial version Dräger PX4500-i is tailored to industrial needs with special accessories.

Line testing

In addition to the manual pressure measurement and leak test, the unit contains predefined measuring programmes for:

  • Leak test (150 hPa/150 mbar) and load test (0.1 MPa + 0.3 MPa / 1 bar + 3 bar) on gas pipes (DVGW TRGI 2018)
  • Leak test (150 hPa / 150 mbar) and strength test (0.1 MPa / 1 bar) on liquid gas pipes (TRF)
  • Leak test (150 hPa / 150 mbar) and load test (0.1 MPa or 0.3 MPa / 1 bar or 3 bar) on drinking water installations (DIN EN 806)
  • Leak test with water (0.6 MPa / 6 bar) on press connections of drinking water installations (DIN EN 806)
  • Leak test with water (1.1 MPa / 11 bar) on metal, multi-layer composite and plastic pipes of drinking water installations
  • Drinking water installations (DIN EN 806)

Preset measuring programs

The Dräger PX4500 contains general measurement programs and specialised measurement programs for frequently used tests and measurement programmes with predefined parameters according to the regulations or standards. The measurement process is particularly clear at all times with the help of the scrolling diagrams on the display.

Pressure measurements up to 2.5 MPa (25 bar)

The internal pressure measuring range up to 160 hPa (160 mbar) is extended by optional external digital pressure sensors up to 0.35 MPa or 2.5 MPa (3.5 or 25 bar).

Leak test according to DVGW TRGI 2018

The Dräger PX4500 quickly and precisely detects leaks in new or existing piping systems. The leak test is carried out fully automatically

Large touch screen

The touchscreen is 3.5“ in size and is therefore particularly user-friendly. With its well structured user software, the PX4500 is very easy to operate

Low weight and handy format

With its 345 g, the PX4500 is a lightweight and, in combination with its ergonomic housing, fits particularly well in the hand. The housing is nevertheless robust and can withstand rough conditions of use.

USB type C (USB-C)

The USB type C has a symmetrical plug. So it no longer matters how it is plugged in. Also, even faster charging is possible, even on the go, such as in the car via USB port.

Fastening kit

The combination of Velcro and magnet guarantees a flexible and adaptable application

Robust equipment case

The new equipment case is extremely robust and splash-proof. The lid has a load capacity of 100 kg. The stackable system guarantees easy and flexible connectivity, i.e. several cases can be stacked on top of each other, even if the cases have different sizes. This feature is particularly practical when several  suitcaseshave to be transported at the same time. The case also offers an extra carrying handle in the lid for even more comfort. Thanks to the practical division inside the case, accessories can be easily stowed away

Office-to-go with the Dräger mCon app

The app provides the best mobility and immediate access to all current measurement data. Via Bluetooth, all data is transferred directly from the measuring device to the smartphone or tablet. Measurement protocols with company logo and data are easily and quickly available as a pdf and can be sent by e-mail.

Extensive documentation options

Maximum ease of use also includes optimal measurement and customer data management with import and export functions for customer data. Measurement results can be saved and transferred to the PC. The measurement data is linked to customer or plant data and output by means of ready-made measurement reports with company logo and address. Alternatively, the measurement data can be printed out on site via a Bluetooth printer

Industrial version Dräger PX4500-i

Special adaptations and the new 25 bar sensor offer a wide range of connection options and are ideally suited for tough operating conditions thanks to their pure stainless steel design. Thanks to intuitive menu navigation and predefined measuring programmes, you can quickly detect leaks in new or existing pipe systems with the PX4500-i.

The P7-TDX is ideal for testing gas pipes and drinking water installations as well as for pressure tests up to 0.3 MPa (3 bar). Optionally, water pipe tests or pressure tests up to 2.5 MPa (25 bar) can also be carried out using an external sensor. The P7-TDX performs the leakage measurement in best time.Other functions include ambient pressure and temperature-corrected longterm measurement and the pressure monitor for monitoring unusual pressure curves.
