AOPEN PV10 Wireless Projector
Precautions
How to use the projector:
- Do not point the projector lens towards human eyes. The bright light can cause damage to eyes.
- Do not block the air vents. Blocked ventilation may cause overheating and damages to the projector electronics and components.
- Do not use chemicals, detergents or water to clean the projector. Moisture and chemicals may corrode the projector circuit boards.
- Do not place the projector within reach of children.
- Only use the projector in dry environment with good ventilation.
- Do not store the projector in extremely hot or extremely cold temperatures. Extreme heat and cold can reduce the component lifetime of projector. Recommended working environment is between 5 C*35 C.
- Do not attempt to dry the projector in heating devices, such as dryer, microwave etc.
- Do not squeeze or apply excess pressure to the projector. The projector may be damaged from the pressure.
- Do not throw, knock or shake the projector. The projector may be damaged from the vibration.
- Do not attempt to open the projector. Please refer to qualified customer support.
- Do not attempt to service the projector. Please refer to qualified customer support in the event of projector malfunction.
As the device is a high intensity light source, do not stare or look directly
at the lens during operation, which may damage your eyes.
This warning applies to children as well.

Operating Instructions

Preparation
-
Power on the projector with the supplied power adapter.

LED turns green to indicate idle state.
-
Turn on the projector al 1st time
-
Select the start-up language.
-
WiFi setting: connect the projector to your router and enter the password. (Important)
-
After starting up, enter the main menu and select the functions by arrow keys on the projector or remote control: Android, iOS, MacOS, Windows, EZCast, USB Disk (3) HDMI, and Setting, as below shown:

Setting
Select the “Setting” key on the projector or remote control, and press “OK” to Confirm. -
Wi-Fi setting: Select the “Wifi setting” menu and enter the VWifi setting interface, select the “Internet”, press “OK” key to confirm, and select the router from AP list and enter the password.

Language menu: press the left and right arrow keys to select and switch the language.

Firmware Upgrade menu: you could upgrade firmware via Internet or USB. To upgrade via Internet, make sure projector is connected to your WiFi router first; to upgrade via USB flash drive, please download latest firmware from Acer official website and rename it as “ACTUPGRADE” to start your firmware upgrade.

Advanced Setting: Projection Location, Brightness, Contrast, Auto V Keystone, V. Keystone, H. Keystone,4 Corner Correction settings.Use up/down Arrows to choose function, and left/right Arrows to adjust settings.

All Reset menu : select”Yes” to confirm that the factory settings will be restored. The projector will be restored to the factory settings, and the data adjusted by the user will not be saved.

Multimedia playback

Insert a USB flash drive into USB slot on the projector.

Select the “Multimedia” >> “USB Disk” >> “Video”, “Music” or “Photo” to enter the file folder.

Select the file to play with the up and down arrow keys, and pres. “OK” to confirm.

When playing media, press “OK” to see the menu, and select item by the left and right keys.

How to Do Plug and Play (via USB Cable)

Android

Select the Android on main menu of projector, and then select Plug and Play menu by pressing “OK” key.

Download and install EZCast app from Google Play Store or scan the QR Code shown on screen.

Connect your mobile to the projector via mobile USB charging cable, and then enable “USB Tethering” in Setting of your mobile.

Enable EZCast app and select “Beam-XXXX” to enjoy your projection.

Select the i0S on main menu of projector, and then select Plug and Play menu by pressing “OK” key.

Download and install EZ Cast app from App Store or scan the QR code shown on screen.

Connect your mobile to the projector via mobile USB charging cable, and then choose “Trust This Computer” to start your projection.

Window 10

Select Windows on main menu of projector, and then select Plug and Play menu by pressing “OK” key.

Install EZCast app on your PC. Please visit https://www.ezcast.com/app to download EZCast app.

Connect your PC to the projector via USB A-to-A cable.

Enable EZcast app on your PC and select “Beam-XXXX” to enjoy your projection.

Macos
-
Select MacoS on main menu of projector, and then select Plug and Play menu by 4 pressing “OK” key.

Install EZCast app on your PC. Please visit https://www.ezcast.com/app to download EZCast app.

Connect your PC to the projector via USB A-to-A cable.

Enable EZcast app on your PC and select “Beam-XXXX” to enjoy your projection.
How to Do Wireless Display

Android
-
Select Android on main menu of projector, and then select Wireless menu by pressing “OK” key.

Select mirroring function in the setting of your phone and find “Beam-XXXX” 2) device shown on device list to start your mirroring
Note 1 : The naming of mirroring function varies different brands. Visit https://www.ezcast.com/usage/android/ezmirror for demos.
Note 2 : Compatibility: Android 5.0 or above. -
ioS

Select iOS on main menu of projector, and then select Wireless menu by pressing “OK” key.

Make sure both of your projector and mobile are connected to the same WiFi router.

Go for Screen Mirroring of your mobile and select the “Beam-XXXX” shown on the list to start projection.
Note: Compatibility: i0S 12 or above. -
Windows 10
-
Select Windows 10 on main menu of projector, and then select Wireless menu by pressing “OK” key.

Make sure both of your projector and computer are connected to the same WiFi router.

Click quick key by Pon the computer, and connect to the device named by “Beam-XXXX” to start your projection.
Note: Please upgrade your windows 10’s operation system to the last at version. -
MacOS
-
Select MacoS on main menu of projector, and then select Wireless menu by pressing “OK” key.

Make sure both of your projector and computer are connected to the same WiFi router
-
Click for Screen Mirroring icon on your computer and select the “Beam-XXXX” shown on the list to start your projection.

Google Home
-
Screen Mirroring (Android Only) Select Android on main menu of projector, and then select Google Home menu by pressing “OK” key
-
Make sure both of your projector and mobile are connected to the same WiFi router

Download and install Google Home app from Google Play Store.

Enable Google Home app and go to Account>> Mirror Device >> select the” Beam-XXXX” shown on the list to start your projetion.

EZCast
-
Select EZCast on main menu of projector and Make sure both of your projector and mobile are connected to the same WiFi router

Install EZCast app on your device. Please download the app from application market for your mobiles or visit https://www.ezcast.com/app to download EZCast app for PC.

Enable EZCast app on your device, and then click icon and select the” Beam-XXXX” shown on the list to start your projection.
Common issues and solutions:

Common issues| Solutions
No power, LED oft. cannot power on| Check the power adapter for loose
connection.
LED on, cannot power on| Check the power adapter for loose connection, press
the Power button to turn on projector.
Cannot Screen mirror| 1. Check the Quick Start Guide for the correct screen
mirroring function.
2. Shorten the distance between smart device and projector for best screen
mirroring quality.
3. Make sure the smart phone is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network SSID.
Cannot stream media| Check the internet connection for your smart device.
Unable to recharge smart phone when projector is unplugged from power| Did not
short press Power before connecting smart phone.
Remote not responsive| 1. Replace remote batteries
2. Pair the remote with your projector again. Pairing procedure:
simultaneously hold down Volume+ and Volume- keys for 3 seconds, once the
remote’s flashing red light becomes constant, the pairing process is complete,
and you can begin using the remote normally.
Cannot shutdown projector| Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds to
shutdown.
Auto V Keystone not working| 1. Select “Setting>Advanced Setting” and confirm
“Auto V Keystone” is 8(9
2. If after step 1, the images are still not rectangular, then follow the
steps below to calibrate the projector:
Place the projector on a level surface, select “Setting>Advanced Setting” and
turn Off “Auto V Keystone”.
Then turn On “Keystone Calibration”, and wait until “Keystone Calibration”
turns itself Off after calibration.
Finally turn On “Auto V Keystone” to confirm the feature is functional.
