Special precautions
-
The product should be used for its intended purpose.
-
Before an installation product should be checked according to order (model, color temperature, quantity etc.) and tested to ensure that it is free from any defects. Led module or wires damage disqualifies the product to installation. If damage is found, please contact the seller immediately.
-
The installation should be done in accordance with the assembly instructions.
-
The assembly should be done by a person with appropriate qualifications. The power must be OFF. An installation while power is ON may affect damage of product, human health or life.
-
While connecting the product to a power source, it is recommended to use the safety guidelines contained in among others the European Standard PN-EN 50110-1: 2013-05.
-
Making repairs and modifications of product and accessories on your own causes losing of the warranty and also threatens health or life. Detailed information about the guarantee is included in the General Sales Conditions, documents are available at www.bergmen.pl.
-
Neither the product or any of its component or packaging elements is a toy. Keep them away from children. The assembly should not be done in the company of children.
-
To ensure safe use of the product and its declared lifetime, avoid:
• shocks, which could lead to the destruction of LEDs,
• contact with water, dust (adequately to the degree of IP protection specified in the product data sheet), chemicals, lubricants that after penetration into the product could damage its components. -
During designing the installation, it is necessary to take into account the shrinkage and thermal expansion of the material from which the product is made and the thermal conditions of the installation site. Depending on the thermal conditions, use the cable allowance. Please contact your dealer for details.
-
Due to the physical and chemical properties of the product, installation should be carried out at an ambient temperature not lower than 10 ° C.
Recommendations
- Before starting the installation, make sure that you have the right constant voltage power supply adjusted to the product (full specification available in the data sheet). Connecting the product to a voltage higher than recommended may lead to its irreparable damage.
- When designing the installation, only the parallel connection of individual sections to the power source should be taken into account. The length of the section connected on one side to the power source must not exceed the permissible length indicated in the product data sheet. It is permissible to use a section exceeding the maximum allowable length for connecting a one-sided power supply (not more than twice ), but only by using a two-sided power supply from one source and when operating at a temperature above 0°C.
- If a serial connection is required, please contact the seller.
- Installation should be carried out on a dirt-free surface. Any contamination on the surface of the product may cause its bad seating in mounting accessories or damage during use.
- Cutting product is allowed only in marked places (Fig. 1.).
- Bending the product is allowed to in the plane where it is wound on the roll with the bending radius conforming to the specification (see fig. 2.). In the event of the need to use other than the above-mentioned mechanical exposures, consult the seller, presenting the exact design of the product’s application.
- Product assembly is recommended on surfaces that provide free heat dissipation, e.g. aluminum profiles. The type of base affects the declared lifespan of product.
- In order to maintain the product’s IP class, use accessories, cables and sealing adhesives recommended by the manufacturer for installation.
- The selection of mounting screws should depend on the type of mounting surface, and the mandrel diameter and head height should be adapted to the diameter of the mounting hole and the height of its cutter.
- After mounting the product in an aluminum profile or mounting bracket, make sure that it is firmly fixed along its entire length, and the indentation on the side of the product coincides with the groove on the dedicated mounting accessories.
- Exerting significant compression and longitudinal (braking) forces on the product is forbidden.
- The power cables should be laid in accordance with the direction of their location in the supply connections. Pay attention when connecting them to the power source to avoid breaking them, damaging the connection or losing the product tightness.
Assembly instruction
- Disconnect the power supply.
-
Installation of power connections and plugs:
Peel off some part of silicone in 3mm 10.12in.1, to bare the bottom solder pad.| Solder the cable to the bottom solder pad.
Fill the forward end cap with silicon glue, and then seal to the strip body.| Fill the tail end cap with silicon glue, and then seal to the strip body. - Check visually whether silicon filled all the gaps between the surface of the rim and the power feed/end cap. Then remove excess silicone and wait for it to dry. The correct installation of the ends is to ensure the maintenance of the IP class declared.
- Mount the mounting brackets in the designated place. Make sure that they are properly attached and firmly adhere to the surface.
- Mount the prepared strip to the holders.
- Connect the strip to the power supply according to the attached diagram (Fig.3.).
- Turn ON the power and check the product’s operation.
