DISPOSAL
We are committed to protecting the environment. Manufacturing electronic devices imposes an obligation of providing for environmentally safe disposal of used electronic components and devices. Hence, we have been entered into a register kept by the Inspection for Environmental Protection. The crossed-out bin symbol on a product means that the product may not be disposed of to household waste containers. Recycling of waste helps to protect the environment. The user is obliged to transfer their used equipment to a collection point where all electric and electronic components will be recycled.
DEVICE DESCRIPTION
The RP-4 repeater is a wireless device which strengthens the network signal between registered devices in order to extend its range. The device works perfectly with connections that are constantly disturbed, e.g. through other devices operating on the same frequency or some solutions used in construction, e.g. concrete walls that suppress the signal.
Features of the device:
- Wireless communication
- Supporting up to 30 devices
HOW TO USE THE DEVICE
REGISTRATION
In order to register devices in one repeater, follow these steps:
- Connect RP-4 to the power supply socket.
- Press the registration button on RP-4 – the control lights are flashing clockwise.
- Press the registration button on the transmitting device (EU-C-8r room sensor or room regulator etc.)
- Once steps 2 and 3 have been performed properly, the device animation will change – the control lights will start flashing anti-clockwise.
- Start the registration process on the receiving device (e.g. external controller/Wi-Fi 8s / ST-2807 / ST-8s etc.)
- If the registration has been successful, the receiving controller will display an appropriate message to confirm and all the control lights on RP-4 will be flashing simultaneously for 5 seconds.
NOTE
- If all control lights start flashing very fast after the registration has been started, it means that the device memory is full (30 devices have already been registered).
- It is possible to cancel the registration process at any time by pressing Cancel button and holding it for 5 seconds.
- In order to restore factory settings, disconnect the device from the power supply. Next, holding the button, connect the device to the power supply and wait until an intermittent light signal appears (two control lights start flashing). Next, release the button and press it again (four control lights start flashing). Factory settings have been restored, all control lights go on at the same time.
- In order to cancel restoring the factory settings, press Cancel button.
- Remember to pair with the repeater only those devices which have a signal problem. The range may get worse if you register devices that do not require a better signal.
ADVANCED SETTINGS
It is possible to connect many repeaters in a chain. In order to register another repeater, follow these steps:
- Connect the first RP-4 to the power supply socket.
- Press the registration button on the first RP-4 – the control lights are flashing clockwise.
- Press the registration button on the transmitting device (EU-C-8r room sensor or room regulator etc.)
- Once steps 2 and 3 have been performed properly, the device animation will change – the control lights will start flashing anti-clockwise.
- Connect the second RP-4 to the power supply socket.
- Press the registration button on the second RP-4 – the control lights are flashing clockwise.
- Once steps 5 and 6 have been performed properly, the second device animation will change after a few seconds – the control lights will start flashing anti-clockwise, and the control lights on the first RP-4 will be flashing simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- Start the registration process on the receiving device (e.g. external controller/Wi-Fi 8s / ST-2807 / ST-8s etc.)
- If the registration has been successful, the receiving controller will display an appropriate message to confirm and all the control lights on the second RP-4 will be flashing simultaneously for 5 seconds.
In order to register another device, follow the same steps.
NOTE
In the case of battery-powered devices, it is not advisable to create chains
consisting of more than two repeaters.
