Preparation for work

Whit lligth When installing the water inlet, keep in mindt i l t k i id that:

  • The pump performance directly depends on the pressure (water rise). It is not recommended to use the pump at maximum head in this case, the water supply will be minimal.
  • The hydraulic resistance of 10 meters of the horizontal section of the line equals approximately 1 meter of head.

Installation

  • Check the power cable for damage, if found, contact an authorized service center for replacement. Make sure that the parameters of the power supply network correspond to those indicated in the table, otherwise the pump will not be able to per-form its functions in full or may fail.
  • Make sure the outlet line or hose is clear, not clogged or pinched before use. Check and if necessary clean the water intake of the pump.
  • Connect a hose to the water inlet. Fasten it securely with a hose clamp. Please note that the pump performance depends on the hose diameter, the smaller the diam-eter of the connected hose, the lower the pump performance. The minimum permis-sible diameter of the connected hose is 25 mm.
  • Adjust the length of the float switch wire by attaching the wire to the hole in the pump body. This allows you to adjust the immersion depth and the automatic cut-off depth. If the water level falls below the level of the fl oat switch, the pump will shut off. This protects the pump from running dry. The fl oat switch can be forcibly locked in order to pump liquid to the level of the water intake holes. Fasten the fl oat switch vertically in the slots on the pump housing. Make sure that the intake holes are always covered with water. Otherwise, if the water runs out and the pump runs dry, the pump parts will wear out quickly and the pump may fail.

Place the pump on a solid, clean (no sedi-ment) base or, if depth permits, hang it from the carry handle using a rope or cable (sold separately). Do not suspend the pump by the power cable. The free space around the pump should be at least 50×50 cm. When the pump is fi rst immersed in water, tilt it, so you remove air from the water intake part. Otherwise, the initial start-up of the pump will be diffi cult due to the air lock. Connect the pump to the pow-er supply. In automatic mode, the pump will turn on and off when the fl oat switch reaches certain positions. If you need to finish work, disconnect the power plug from the mains.

Exploitation
The submersible drainage pump is designed for operation under water at a depth of 5 me-ters at temperatures from + 1 ° C to + 35 ° C in a place with a low level of pollution. ATTENTION! Every 15 minutes of continuous operation of the pump, it is necessary to take a break for 10-15 minutes.

  • Make sure that the network parameters correspond to the parameters indicated on the pumping equipment and in this operating manual.
  • Make sure that the pumping equipment will be connected to the mains via a residual current device with a rated tripping current of ≤ 30 mA.

Auto mode
In automatic mode, a fl oat switch controls the operation of the pump.
In order for the pump to start working in automatic mode, lower it into water, connect the mains cable plug to the mains. The pump will run until the fl oat switch reaches the minimum depth required to shut off. It is recommended to install the pump on a solid base to maintain an upright position. After diving, make sure that the fl oat switch is not obstructed. ATTENTION! The pump must be lowered to a depth using a cable tied to the handle. Never immerse the pump in water using the mains cable.

Manual mode
For manual operation, the motor can be start-ed by lifting the float switch by hand. Lower the fl oat switch to turn off the pump. ATTENTION! During manual operation, do not leave the pump unattended; working with-out water will damage it.

End of work
After use, run clean water through the pump for 2-3 minutes in order to get rid of sediment and particles that may accumulate in the pump or outlet hose.
Disconnect the mains cable from the mains, remove the pump from the water and move it to a dry ventilated area.

Note! The pump does not have an automatic shutdown system in the absence of water fl ow through it. Therefore, ALWAYS turn on the tap fi rst, then turn on the product. It is not allowed to operate the pump with a closed water sup-ply pipeline and “dry” (without water intake). To turn off the pump at the end of work, un-plug the power plug.

ATTENTION! If the water level is too low, when the pump is turned off, any impurities inside the pump will dry out quickly.
This can result in the pump not starting when the water level rises.
To ensure effi cient pump operation, regularly clean the bottom of the shaft to remove any debris.

Note! To prevent water from draining from the pipeline when the pump is turned off, we recommend installing a non-return valve (not included in the delivery set).
Before long-term storage, as well as when cleaning for the winter, disconnect the hoses from the product and completely drain the wa-ter from the hoses and the product.

Maintenance and Cleaning

  • All maintenance work must be carried out with the cable disconnected from the mains.

If the pump is not used for a long time, it must be disconnected from the mains.
The pump does not need any special main-tenance. Periodically it is necessary to check the water intake part, if it becomes dirty, clean it.
Regularly clean the body of the product from accumulated dirt.
All other types of maintenance and repairs should be carried out only by specialists of service centers.
