Important: read carefully the following instructions to familiarize with the appliance before the connection to the gas bottle. Keep these instructions for further consult.
Attention: the use of this appliance produces carbon dioxide emission and its accumulation may be dangerous. This product must be used only outdoors in order to allow air-stoking combustion and to avoid unburnt gas mixtures. To be used ONLY with KEMPER / PLEIN AIR INTERNATIONAL, 577/577LCL WOODSUN or Decathlon 4050185 butane cartridge. It can be dangerous to try to use any other type cartridges. THE USE IS PROHIBITED IN DWELLINGS. This appliance is not intended to be used for commercial activity.
SAFETY INFORMATION
- Use the appliance only outdoors at a safety distance from any heat source, flame or sparks and far from dirt (accumulation) and inflammable material.
- Place the hot plate on the ground or on the floor always horizontally. Never put the hot plate on wood or plastic surfaces or on inflammable materials.
- Do not place flammable objects less than 1 m from the stove, both above and laterally.
- Do not move the appliance during use.
- Never modify your hot plate and absolutely never disassemble the appliance and its components. Reparations on the appliance must be made only by qualified personnel.
- Never use the appliance if it leaks, is deteriorated or malfunctioning.
- During use, always close the cartridge holder lid (D).
- Do not let domestic animals near the hot plate.
- Never leave the hot plate going and unguarded.
- ATTENTION: very high temperature parts are easily accessible. Keep the appliance away from children.
- This appliance is equipped with a cartridge disconnection device in case of overpressure: if the gas pressure in the cartridge exceeds the security level, the device disconnects the cartridge and its connecting lever returns to position “RELEASE”. In this case, remove the cartridge and let it cool (for example under water) before using it again or using a new cartridge by following instructions mentioned on “Replacing the cartridge” section.
- In case the pressure sensitive safety device triggers it means that a critical pressure level is reached in the cartridge so the appliance must not be used before it has completely cool down. Do not bypass the pressure sensitive safety device.
- DO NOT force restarting without cooling or replacing the cartridge.
INFORMATION ON THE USE OF CARTRIDGES
- Use exclusively KEMPER / PLEIN AIR INTERNATIONAL butane cartridges art. 577, WOODSUN art. 577LCL or Decathlon 4050185. It may be dangerous to adapt other gas containers.
- All operations of assembly and change of cartridges must be done in well-aired places and far from flames, inflammable materials and other peoples.
- Never smoke while handling cartridges.
- Read carefully the instructions on the wrapping of the cartridge before using.
- Remove the cartridge after each use in order to avoid overheating the appliance.
- Never expose cartridges at temperatures over 50°C.
- Always keep the appliance away from children
- Never try to refill a disposable cartridge.
- Never breathe in the gas coming from the cartridge or the smoke produced while using the appliance.
- When the appliance is not used, the cartridge must be disengaged by positioning the cartridge connection lever (D) on “RELEASE”.
IN CASE OF LEAKAGE (SMELL OF GAS) BRING YOUR APPLIANCE IMMEDIATELY OUTDOORS, IN A VENTILATED PLACE WITH NO INFLAMABLE SOURCES, AND THERE YOU CAN LOOK FOR LEAK AND STOP IT. IF YOU WANT TO CHECK THE SEAL OF YOUR APPLIANCE, DO IT OUTDOORS AND NEVER LOOK FOR A LEAKAGE WITH A FLAME BUT USE SOAPY WATER.
LEAKAGE TEST
BEFORE USING CHECK THAT THERE ARE NO LEAKS.
Check the leakage of your device only outside. Do not seek the leakage with a
match but use water and soap or a gas detector (our article Revelgas cod.
1726). Apply solution of soap and water or gas detector in the interspaces of
the unit. If bubbles appear, it means that there is a leak and it must be
repaired before use. If you detect a leak and you cannot repair it, don’t try
to fix it another way, but contact the customer service. Do not use a device
that leakage, deteriorated or malfunctioning.
USE INSTRUCTIONS
STARTING THE APPLIANCE
Note: This device is intended only for direct cooking of food. It is NOT
allowed to use pots. Do not use the appliance other purposes than cooking.

WARNING: In order to avoid accidental fire due to combustion of grease collected in the tray, clean the tray after every use and fill it with water before every use.

Place the hot plate on a stable and horizontal surface. Do not alongside two or more burners.

Place the hot plate far from inflammables substances or things that could be damaged by heat.

Make sure that the hot plate tap is CLOSED – Tap on position “OFF” (clockwise rotation).

Make sure that the seals are in a good state before connecting the gas cartridge (see figure).

Never use the appliance with damaged or worn seals.
-
Check that the appliance is not damaged. Never use a damaged appliance.

Put the cartridge in its slot, placing the cut on its neck in correspondence to the safety stop.

Place the lever connecting the cartridge on the “LOCK” position (fig. 2).
ATTENTION: the appliance is now ready for use. The positioning of the lever on “LOCK” presupposes the immediate ignition of the stove as the gas circuit is ready for gas supply. Do not leave the appliance unattended and without flame with the lever positioned on “LOCK”.

Turn anticlockwise all the way the tap until it is positioned on “MAX” position; continue the rotation until ignition occurs.

If the stove dose not light, turn the control knob back to “OFF” position and repeat.

If after three failed attempts, the stove dose not light, turn the control knob to the “OFF position and move the cartridge lever to the “RELEASE” position.

Open the cartridge cover and remove the cartridge, Shake the cartridge to see if it is empty. If empty, replace the cartridge and repeat from point 9.

Regulate the flame according to your needs.

Caution: The device is not equipped with a security system for the automatic closing of the gas.

It is recommended to cook food with a thickness not exceeding 1.5-2 cm.
SHUTTING DOWN THE APPLIANCE
- To turn off the fire, rotate completely clockwise the tap to the “OFF” position and wait until the flame is fully extinguished before performing the next step.
- Position the cartridge-connecting lever on the “RELEASE” position and remove the gas cartridge from the compartment.
- Wait for the plate to cool before storing it.
- When the appliance is not in use, it is compulsory to take the cartridge out of the appliance.
- This unit can be kept inside only if the cartridge has been disconnected and removed from the appliance. If you expect that the barbeque remains unused for a certain period of time, store it in its original packaging and in an environment free from dust.
CHANGING THE CARTRIDGE
- Check that burners are extinguished before disconnecting the gas cartridge. Be careful the gas cartridge could be hot.
- Ensure that the cartridge is empty before replacing it (shake it in order to hear the sound produced by the liquid).
- Replace the cartridge outside and away from other people.
- Make sure that the tap of the hot plate is CLOSED. Tap on “OFF” position (clockwise rotation).
- Check that the cartridge connection lever is on the “RELEASE” position.
- Open the cartridge holder lid and take out the cartridge.
- Check that the seals are in a good state of maintenance.
- Put the cartridge in its housing placing the cut on the cartridge’s neck in correspondence to the safety stop.
- Position the connecting lever on the “LOCK” position.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Clean your equipment after EVERY USE. Do not use abrasive or flammable
detergents, which may damage the components of the unit and may cause a fire.
Clean with a solution of warm water and soap.
NEVER USE THE PRODUCTS FOR OVEN CLEANING.
CAUTION: All cleaning and maintenance operations, should be made when the
unit is cold and after removing the cartridge.
EXTERNAL SURFACE: wash with a soft cloth and a solution of warm water and
soap. Rinse with water. Do not use abrasive cleaners, degreasers or
concentrated products for cleaning of barbecues.
Use a solution of gentle detergent or baking soda and hot water. In case of
stubborn stains, use a non-abrasive detergent powder and then rinse with
water.
BOTTOM OF THE BARBECUE DRIP: the tray should be cleaned after each use in
order to prevent that accumulation of grease can ignite causing a flash fire.
Remove residuals with a brush, a scraper and / or a sponge and then wash with
a solution of water and soap. Rinse with water and let dry.
PLASTIC SURFACES: wash with a soft cloth and a solution of warm water and
soap. Rinse with water. Do not use on plastic surfaces abrasive cleaners,
degreasers or concentrated products for barbecue cleaning.
WIRE RACK: use a mild solution of soap and water. In case of stubborn
stains, use a non-abrasive detergent powder and then wash with water. Do not
use abrasive cleaners or metal brushes that could damage the surface coating
of the grill.

RESIDUAL RISKS
There are some residual risks after the installation of the appliance that
have to be considered:
Residual risks according to Regulation (EU) 2016/426 (annex 1, point 1.2):

Although the appliance is designed with all the possible safety requirements, in case of external fire there is the possibility that the internal pressure and temperature of the appliance and of the cylinder will increase in a dangerous and uncontrollable way; in that case use the extinguishing tools suitable for that conditions and get away safely.

The use of incorrect cartridges and / or cartridges filled with gas other than the one indicated can produce high values of carbon monoxide, dangerous for health. It is recommended to use the appliance only with KEMPER / PLEIN AIR INTERNATIONAL butane gas cartridges art. 577, WOODSUN art. 577LCL or Decathlon 4050185.

This appliance can produce carbon monoxide. Inhalation of carbon monoxide, odourless and clear gas, can cause flulike symptoms, sickness illness and possibly death if
produced inside aforesaid areas through use of theproduct withoutproper ventilation. -
The use of two or more burners in series or located near flammable substances may cause a risk of fire. Therefore, it’s recommended to not put beside the burners and keep them away from flammable substances or from any objects be affected by heat

The appliance does not have a flame supervision device. Do not leave the appliance unattended during use. RISK OF FIRE. The producer will not answer for damages to things or persons coming from the non-correct use or non-correspondent to these instructions. The guarantee is of two years from the date of purchase of the goods and only in the case in which the product has not been tampered, has not been damaged and has not fallen. The product must be accompanied by the buying receipt showing the date of purchase. In case of damages due to an incorrect use of the product, the warranty will not be valid.
