Important : read carefully the following instructions to familiarize with the appliance before the connection to the gas bottle. Keep these instructions for further consult.

Attention:
This appliance must be used exclusively with a threaded valve gas cartridge at direct pressure butane/propane mixture Kemper mod. 1121F and 1126F46.
It may be hazardous to attempt to fit other types of gas cylinders.

THE USE IS PROHIBITED IN DWELLINGS.

  • Model KE3008: Foldable camping stove with piezo ignition.
  • Model KE3009: Foldable camping stove without piezo ignition.

SAFETY WARNING

  1. Use the appliance only in a well-ventilated area at a safe distance from any heat source, flame or sparks and far from inflammable material and at a distance of at least 70 cm from furniture, walls and ceilings. The volume of air needed for proper combustion and to prevent the formation of dangerous unburned gas mixtures is 2 m3/h per kW.
  2. Do not place objects at less than 1 m from the stove, whether it be above or to the sides of it.
  3. Place the hot plate on the ground or on the floor always horizontally. Never put the hot plate on wood or plastic surfaces or on inflammable materials.
  4. DO NOT MODIFY THE APPLIANCE. Never modify your hot plate and absolutely never disassemble the appliance and its components. Repaitions on the appliance must be made only by qualified personnel.
  5. Check that the appliance is not damaged. Do not use an appliance which is leaking, damaged or which does not operate properly.
  6. Make sure that the seals are in a good state before connecting the gas cylinder.
  7. Never use the appliance with damaged or worn seals.
  8. Always keep the appliance away from children.
  9. Never leave the appliance unguarded when it is alight.
  10. Do not move the appliance during use.
  11. ATTENTION: very high-temperature parts are easily accessible. Keep the appliance away from children.
  12. If there is a leak on your appliance (smell of gas), take it outside immediately into a well-ventilated flame-free location where the leak may be detected and stopped. If you wish to check for leaks on your appliance, do it outside. Do not try to detect leaks using a flame, use soapy water (our article Revelgas cod. 1726). Apply a solution of soap and water or gas detector in the interspaces of the unit. If bubbles appear, it means that there is a leak and it must be repaired before use. If you detect a leak and you cannot repair it, don’t try to fix it another way, but contact customer service.

INFORMATION ON THE USE AND REPLACEMENT OF CARTRIDGES

  1. The gas cylinder should not be dropped or handled carelessly! When the unit is not in use, the cylinder must be disconnected. Cylinders must be stored outdoors in a vertical position and out of the reach of children.
  2. Never place the cylinder in places where the temperature may exceed 50 °C. Do not place cylinders near open flames or other sources of ignition.
  3. DO NOT SMOKE NEAR THE CYLINDER.
  4. All operations of assembly and change of cartridges must be done in well-aired places and far from flames, inflammable materials and other people.
  5. The cartridge should be changed in a well-ventilated location, preferentially outside, away from any sources of ignition, such as naked flames, pilots, electric fires and away from other people.
  6. Check that the cartridge is empty before changing it (shake to hear the noise made by the liquid).
  7. Ensure that the appliance is switched off and the burner is extinguished and cold before you disconnect the cartridge.
  8. Close the gas tap by turning the handwheel completely to the «-» position.
  9. Unscrew the cartridge while holding the burner still: an internal valve prevents the gas from escaping.
  10. Examine the seals of the unit before installing a new cartridge.
  11. Install a new cartridge as previously indicated
  12. Inserting new cartridges in a cold appliance can lead to a change in the flame, which however returns to normal after some time. The appliance must only be disassembled and packaged when it has cooled down.
  13. The cartridge must not be abandoned in the environment but in a safe place. Do not pierce the cartridge. Do not throw the empty cartridge into fire. All the gas cartridges are disposable. Refilling is not permitted.

USE OF RECIPIENTS

  1. WARNING: The maximum diameter of the container to be heated is 200 mm. Do not use containers with a larger diameter.
  2. Place the pan directly on the grill, making sure it is in perfect balance.
  3. Adjust the flame so as not to spill liquids into the pot, because they can switch off the burner.

INSTRUCTION FOR ASSEMBLING AND INSTALLATING THE APPLIANCE

  1. When switching on, always place yourself next to the stove itself. Never light with your face directly exposed over the stove.
  2. Place the stove on a stable and horizontal surface.
  3. Place the stove away from flammable liquids or in any case from objects that are affected by heat.
  4. Ensure that the burner handwheel is turned completely to the «-» position. Remove cover of the cartridge and screw the cartridge on the burner.
  5. Open the gas tap a quarter of a turn in the «+» direction and fully press the button for piezo ignition for models equipped with Piezo, ignite with a flame for normal models.
  6. To adjust the flow rate, turn the tap’s handwheel towards the «-» position to decrease the flow rate or towards the «+» position to increase the flow rate.
  7. After using the appliance, dose the gas tap by turning the handwheel to the «-» position.
  8. During long periods of operation, it is normal for the lower part of the cartridge to cool down.
  9. Do not move the cooker with the burner lit.
  10. Do not move the cooker with a pan over it.
  11. Never use with an empty container. Risk of cartridge overheating.

CLEANING

  1. Clean the device only when it is cold.
  2. Clean the structure of the device with a damp cloth moistened with a product and possibly non-abrasive detergent.
  3. Clean the burner with soap and water and dry it. After cleaning, always check that the gas outlet holes on the burner are not clogged.
  4. To preserve the life of your product, keep out of the rain. When the product is cold, store it in its original packaging and store in a dry place and away from dust.

RESIDUAL RISKS

There are some residual risks after the installation of the appliance that has to be considered: Residual risks according to Regulation (EU) 2016/426 (annex 1, point 1.2):

  • Although the appliance is designed with all the possible safety requirements, in case of external fire there is the possibility that the internal pressure and temperature of the appliance and of the cylinder will increase in a dangerous and uncontrollable way; in that case, use the extinguishing tools suitable for those conditions and get away safely.
  • The use of incorrect cylinders and/or cylinders filled with gas other than the one indicated can produce high values of carbon monoxide, dangerous for health. It is recommended to use the appliance exclusively with Butane/Propane gas cartridges Kemper mod. 1121F and 1126F46. It may be hazardous to attempt to fit other types of gas cylinders.
  • This appliance can produce carbon monoxide. Inhalation of carbon monoxide, an odorless and clear gas, can cause flu-like symptoms, sickness illness and possibly death if produced inside aforesaid areas through use of the product without proper ventilation.
  • The surface of the appliance is subject to residual heat after use and remains very hot for a long time.
  • Do not touch or handle with gloves only! Risk of burns.
  • The appliance does not have a flame supervision device. Do not leave the appliance unattended during use. RISK OF FIRE.
  • The use of pans with a maximum diameter greater than permitted could cause a high increase of temperature and the instability of the pan and the stove.
  • Place the appliance on a stable surface, possibly flat, the incorrect positioning could lead to the instability of the article
