IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING THIS APPLIANCE. FOR HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY.
IMPORTANT: The manufacturer cannot accept responsibility for damage
caused when the appliance is not used according to the instructions, or for
uses other than those for which it was intended.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, damage or injury:
- Do not leave appliance when plugged in. Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing.
- WARNING: ELECTRIC SHOCK COULD OCCUR IF USED OUTDOORS OR ON WET SURFACES.
- Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
- Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s recommended attachments.
- Do not use with damaged cord or plug. If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors, or dropped into water, return it to your Authorized Retailer for service.
- Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, close a door on the cord, or pull cord around sharp edges or corners. Do not run appliance over cord. Keep cord away from heated surfaces.
- Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
- Do not handle plug or appliance with wet hands.
- Do not put any object into openings. Do not use with any opening blocked; keep free of dust, lint, hair and anything that may reduce air flow.
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers and all parts of body away from openings and moving parts.
- Do not pick up anything that is burning or smoking, such as cigarettes, matches or hot ashes.
- Do not use without vacuum bag and/or filters in place.
- Turn off all controls before unplugging.
- Use extra care when cleaning on stairs.
- Do not use to pick up flammable or combustible liquids such as gasoline or use in areas where they may be present.
- Do not attempt to service the unit while appliance is plugged in.
2-WIRE POLARIZED POWER CORD
To reduce the risk of electric shock, the charger is equipped with a
polarized alternating current line plug (a plug havingone blade wider than the
other). This plug will fit into the power outlet only one way.This is a safety
feature. If you are unable to insert the plug fully into the outlet, try
reversing the plug. If the plug should still fail to fit, contact a qualified
electrician to replace the obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the safety purpose
of the polarized plug.
ASSEMBLY
OPERATING
- Insert hose from Central Vacuum Accessory Kit RPT-1 Insert the hose into the vacuum port. For models with a power cord, plug the cord into a power outlet.
- On/Off Press the switch to the left for vacuum suction only. Press the switch to the right for vacuum suction and to activate the power nozzle brush.
- Using the power nozzle Release the handle by pressing the handle release pedal.
- Remove/Insert the wand from the power nozzle Remove the wand from the power nozzle to use cleaning tools for baseboard or ceiling cleaning. Turn the power nozzle off. Then press the wand release collar and remove the wand. To reinsert the wand, press the wand back into the neck of the power nozzle until it clicks into place.

MAINTENANCE
SAFETY FIRST
Unplug vacuum from charger and remove battery before performing any
maintenance on your vacuum.
BRUSHROLL NOTE Reassemble the nozzle by reversing the steps above.
BELT

Follow steps for Brushroll maintenance

Loop one end of belt around motor pulley and other end of belt around brushroll

Seat belt securely in the belt groove

Insert brushroll into position, placebelt guard into position, and re-attach bottom plate
CIRCUIT BREAKER
A circuit breaker safety system protects your nozzle from jams. A red warning light indicates a jam.
- Turn off nozzle, disconnect hose from wand inlet and unplug the power cord if applicable.
- Remove the object preventing the brushroll from turning.
- Press circuit breaker switch.
NOTE
Red warning light will change to green when nozzle is ready for use.
