IV. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Remove all packaging materials and take out the appliance and any accessories. Parts which come in contact with the oral cavity must be rinsed in warm drinking water before first use.
CHARGING THE BRUSH
This appliance is equipped with a contactless (induction) charging system
which works on the principle of energy transfer through an electromagnetic
field. No direct connection with the power cable is required which makes
charging more convenient and thanks to the enhanced insulation (IPX7) also
safer. First, connect the charging base to a suitable power source using a USB
power cable. Then place the toothbrush body (A) on the cylindrical protrusion
in the charging base (C). The charging procedure is signalled by a flashing
(A3) LED indicator. When the battery is fully charged, the (A3) LED indicator
is lit. For a full charge, the battery needs to be charged for approximately
12 hours. Depending on the cleaning mode used, a fully charged battery will
provide approximately 4-5 hours of operation.
Note: Although the brush should not be charged before it is fully discharged,
we recommend charging it at regular intervals (e.g. after 2-3 weeks of use) in
order to ensure optimum battery life.
USE
Before use, slide the brush (B) onto the brush body (A) to connect them (See
Fig. 1). A small gap will remain between the brush body (A) and the coloured
ring (B2) which is not a defect. To remove the brush, proceed the other way
round. Do not switch on the appliance without the brush attached! Moisten the
brush and apply a small amount of toothpaste on it. Put the brush to the teeth
at a slight angle towards the gums (see Fig. 3) and switch on any mode by
pressing the mode on/switch button (A1). Move the brush slowly along the teeth
back and forth, applying a slight pressure, so as not to miss any tooth or
area in the mouth. Clean each tooth for about 2-3 seconds.
The operating time of the brush may be different for each mode. It can also be changed in the application. After this time, the brush switches off. If you want to continue cleaning, simply turn the brush on again.
According to general recommendations, it should take approximately 30 seconds to clean each part of the mouth (quadrant) (see Fig. 3); however, this time is individual and depends on the settings and mode used. A short interruption of brush operation will alert you to the expiration of a quarter time and a change in the quadrant.
Caution
– During operation, the (A3) LED indicator is lit, when the battery of the
accumulator is low and it needs to be recharged, the LED indicator starts
flashing.
– When charged for the first time, or if the appliance was not in use for more
than 3 months, it needs to be charged for 12 hours.
– Do not exceed the recommended time of charging during regular charging!
– The charging base also serves as a stand on which you can place the
toothbrush after use. However, do not connect it to an external source unless
you want to charge the toothbrush. Do not leave the charging base always
connected to an external source!
– The appliance warms up during charging, but this is normal and not a defect.
– The operating time is only approximate. The time depends on the condition of
the battery, ambient temperature, age, method of charging, etc.
– To power the appliance, use only a safe low voltage source of 5 V DC in
accordance with the applicable standards (a mobile phone charger with a USB
connector in double insulation is suitable), which is capable of giving a
current of at least 600 mA or more. (Note: the specified current load is
minimal, it can be higher).
– Do not use USB ports on other devices (e.g. computer, laptop, tablet, mobile
phone, etc.) to power the appliance. These devices do not have to be designed
for current consumption of the appliance and could be damaged.
Notes
– If this is your first sonic toothbrush and you have not had any
experience with this cleaning technology, it might take you a while to get
used to the specific vibration (tingling). However, most users say that they
got used to it quickly after a few uses and cleaning became perfectly natural
for them.
– Do not apply excessive pressure on your teeth.
– You can also use this brush when you have fixed braces, facets, crowns, etc.
However, please bear in mind that if the brush is used with braces, the brush
bristles are subject to more wear.
– We recommend that you replace the brush (B) with a new one after 3 months of
use. However, if the brush is showing signs of significant wear or damage.
Mode on/switch button control A1
The first press of the button switches the brush to the last mode used. If you
press the button again within 3 seconds, the brush will switch to the next
mode. The last press turns the brush off. The brush also turns off if you
press the button (A1) even in the set mode 3 seconds after its activation.
Cleaning modes:
- mode A5 standard intensive mode for routine cleaning of healthy teeth,
- mode A6 cleaning mode adapted for better teeth whitening,
- mode A7 mode for polishing and more intensive cleaning,
- mode A8 pulsation mode for gentle massaging of the gums,
- A4 mode individual mode for custom cleaning settings in the application. Activation of the mode selected is indicated by the indicator coming on.
APP
The toothbrush can be used with the Smart application RISUN. After finding and
installing the App, register an account, agree with necessary conditions, and
enable necessary permissions for the App to operate properly.
Remarks
If you are using VPN on your phone, please turn it off to sign in and
register. This will avoid any problems with logging into the server. Some
other features of the application may be affected by using of VPN. If you have
a problem with them, disable it to work with the application.
Pairing and use
To pair the brush with the App for the first time, click on pairing at the top
of the screen or directly in the settings in the My brush section. Then follow
the instructions provided directly in the application. The App automatically
finds the brush nearby. After selection, the wireless connection indicator A2
will start flashing on the brush for a few moments during which it is
necessary to press the button A1 to successfully complete the pairing.
Then the application will offer you the possibility to adjust the settings and the recommended cleaning mode according to the condition of your teeth. You can skip this option and use it at any time later in the relevant part of the App.
The App will display and record the way the brush is used, at the same time you can adjust some parameters here. When using, turn on the application first, then the toothbrush. Alternatively, you can use the brush without the App – after activating it, the data is automatically synchronized and the data from the paired brush is uploaded to the App.
If the App and the brush are used by multiple household members, each member should use their own account with its own settings and history. At the same time, no more than one application can be activated at a time. However, when used by more than one person, there may be various inaccuracies in the data synchronization (for example, if you do not use the brush with the App and someone else has paired it with your account in the meantime, your cleaning history may not upload correctly or your data may be uploaded to another account).
If the devices do not communicate
From time to time, pairing with the Smart device might fail. If this is the
case, try one of the following steps, or a combination thereof:
- Place the devices as close as possible to each other (approx. 10 cm)
- Make sure that the system is not disturbed by another el. appliance! (Eg. remote control TV, etc.)!
- Restart the appliance.
- Restart the RISUN application, or switch it off and on in the system.
- Restart the entire Smart device.
- Try the application with another device.
Note:
– Make sure you have the bluetooth function activated on your Smart device
with permanent visibility to other devices, internet turned on and the App has
all necessary permissions enabled (e.g. localization function if required).
– If you are unable to pair the App even after trying all the advice given in
the manual and the link and the brush does not respond to other compatible
Smart devices, only then make a complaint about the brush.
– Working with the application is intuitive and it won‘t take you long to
control it. Experiment, discover and enjoy the possibilities.
V. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
Before servicing the charging base (C), first disconnect it from the external power supply. For maximum hygiene, clean the brush (B) after each use! Rinse the brush head (B1) and the brush body (A) under running water and wipe the brush body with a damp cloth. Use the damp cloth to wipe the charging base and its cable as well. Never immerse the brush body (A) or the charging base (C) in water! Do not use a dishwasher for cleaning! Allow the brush body (A), the charging base (C) and the cable to dry properly before re-use. Store the appliance and all the accessories in a dry, dust-free and safe place, out of reach of children and incapacitated persons.
