DETAILED SAFETY RULES

This equipment may be used by children at least 8 years of age and by people with reduced physical and mental capabilities and people with a lack of knowledge of the equipment, if supervision or instruction in the use of the equipment in a safe manner is provided, so that the risks associated with it are understandable. Children should not play with the equipment. Children without supervision should not clean and maintain the equipment. Careless use of a heat gun may cause a fire, therefore:

  • be careful when using the heat gun in places with flammable materials,
  • do not direct the hot air stream in the same place for a long time,
  • do not use a heat gun in the presence of an explosive atmosphere,
  • be aware that heat can be transferred to combustible materials beyond the field of view,
  • after using the heat gun, allow it to cool down before storing,
  • do not leave the heat gun unattended when it is switched on.

ADDITIONAL SAFETY RULES

  • Wear protective goggles when using a heat gun.
  • Do not obstruct the air inlet openings or the air outlet opening of the heat gun.
  • Do not touch the nozzle of the heat gun while it is in use or immediately after stopping the operation of the heat gun.
  • The handle of the heat gun must be kept clean, it must not be left with traces of oil or grease.
  • When working outside the building, it is forbidden to use a heat gun when it is raining or when the air is very humid.
  • Do not put the heat gun aside while it is on.
  • The air flow from the heat gun must not be directed towards one place for too long.
  • Periodically remove accumulated paint residue from the heat gun nozzle to prevent spontaneous combustion.
  • Before starting work with a heat gun, always make sure that the surface to be heated is not flammable.
  • When removing lead-based oil paints, work only in well-ventilated rooms. The vapors of such paints are poisonous. A respiratory protection mask should be used.
  • When using a heat gun, do not use turpentine, solvents or gasoline as auxiliary agents.
  • Do not touch hot parts of the heat gun immediately after use. Burns caused by non-compliance with these instructions are the main hazards associated with the operation of a heat gun.
  • The operating heat gun must not be pointed at any person or animal (e.g. to dry hair). A heat gun gives the air a much warmer temperature than a hair dryer

Despite the inherently safe construction, the use of safety measures and additional protective measures, there is always a residual risk of injury during work.

DESCRIPTION

The heat gun is designed to remove paint coatings, heat seized threaded connections in order to facilitate their unscrewing and to heat frozen water pipes, locks, padlocks, etc. other work requiring heating with a stream of dry, hot air. The heat gun is intended for amateur use only.

OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

Before starting work, you should take care of its proper conditions.

  • Workplace
    Make sure that there are no objects restricting free movement in the vicinity, preventing comfortable and safe work.

  • Power source
    Make sure that the power source to which the heat gun is to be connected meets the requirements specified on the heat gun’s rating plate.

  • Switch
    Make sure the switch is in the off position. Serious accidents may occur if you insert the plug into the power outlet with the switch in the on position as the heat gun starts working immediately.

  • Checking the correctness of operation
    The activated heat gun should run smoothly, without jamming. In the event of any irregularities, stop working with the device.

  • Nozzle selection
    Depending on the type of work (if necessary), it is possible to install an appropriate additional nozzle by sliding it over the outlet nozzle. Each additionally mounted nozzle can be set at any angle in the range from 0 ° to 360 ° in the heat gun axis. The use of additional nozzles facilitates the work, ensuring the accuracy of its execution.

    • Surface nozzle – by redirecting the hot air stream, it protects, for example, windows from overheating. Particularly useful when removing coatings from paints.
    • Reducing nozzle – direct stream of hot air to allow working in corners and soldering
    • Diffusion Nozzle – Ensures even distribution of hot air for corner machining and soldering.
    • Reflector nozzle – designed for soldering, shaping plastic pipes, defrosting water installations and shrinking heat shrink sleeves.
      Note: Do not block the air inlet openings as this may cause the power tool to overheat.
  • Switching on / off
    Note: the mains voltage must correspond to the voltage specified on the heat gun’s rating plate. Make sure the power button is in the 0 position before connecting to power.

    • The connected device is turned on by moving the switch button to a position other than 0.
    • Position 0 – disabled
    • Position I – temperature 50 ° C, airflow 300 – 500 l / min
    • Position II – temperature 70 – 600 ° C, airflow 300 – 500 l / min
    • The first time you turn on the heat gun, there may be a small amount of smoke. This is normal and it should take a short time to disappear.
  • Settings

    • The heat gun is controlled using buttons and an LCD screen.
    • In gear I (50 ° C) it is possible to control the airflow using the airflow increase and decrease buttons (6 levels)
    • In speed II it is possible to control the airflow in the same way, and also to set the temperature in the range from 70 to 600 ° C using the buttons for increasing and decreasing the temperature (in steps of 10 ° C).
    • The middle button allows you to choose one of 6 presets.

  • Operating

    • Gear I is used to cool the heated object, dry the paint or cool the device after long work with high temperature before putting it away or replacing the auxiliary nozzle.
    • When changing from position II to I, wait a while for the device to cool down.
    • The distance between the nozzle and the workpiece should be adjusted depending on the type of material to be processed and the type of additional nozzle used. The most appropriate temperature has to be determined by trial, therefore start working in the low temperature range.
  • Shaping of plastic pipes / defrosting

    • Place the reflector nozzle on the outlet nozzle. To avoid narrowing the pipe, fill it with sand and close it on both sides.
    • The pipe should be heated evenly by moving it in relation to the heat gun.
    • Always heat frozen areas of water pipes from edge to center. Heat plastic pipes and the joints between pipe pieces with particular care to avoid damage.
      Warning! The gas pipes must not be heated under any circumstances!
  • Shaping of plastic pipes / defrosting

    • Place the reflector nozzle on the outlet nozzle. To avoid narrowing the pipe, fill it with sand and close it on both sides.
    • The pipe should be heated evenly by moving it in relation to the heat gun.
    • Always heat frozen areas of water pipes from edge to center. Heat plastic pipes and the joints between pipe pieces with particular care to avoid damage.
      Warning! The gas pipes must not be heated under any circumstances!
