Keyboard Installation
▮ Check keyboard and contents to ensure everything i s functioning properly.
- All dip switches OFF
- All key press properly and smoothly
- All accessories are in the box
Congratulations, now let’s get the keyboard going. The Left half of the keyboard is the “master”, so first plug the USB C to C coiled cable joining the left and right sides. Then use the USB A to C cable to plug the left half of the keyboard into your computer.
To use the keyboard separately, insert the USB A to C cable into the connector on both halves and remove the USB C to C coiled cable between both halves.
*When both halves are connected, insert the USB A to C cable into the right side keyboard, the left side keyboard will not function properly.
LED Indicators:
▮ LED [M]: Keyboard Layer / Programming Indicator.
Choose different programming layers for the keyboard. This allows each key
to have a different function programmed for each layer.
- LED Off – – Default Layer
- LED Red – – Layer 1
- LED Green – – Layer 2
- LED Blue – – Layer 3
- LED White – – Programming
▮ LED [A]: Caps lock Indicator.
▮ LED [B]: Bluetooth Indicator.
- Device Switch: The LED flash blue once then goes off.
- Pairing: After pressing the pairing button on the side of the keyboard, the LED flash blue. The Pairing standby state lasts for 30 seconds.
- Low Battery: If the battery is low, the LED will flash red every 10 seconds.
- Battery Charging: The LED will light yellow while charging.
- Full Charge: The LED will light green when full charge.
Keyboard Layout Switch:
▮ Keyboard Arrangement Change.
Cycle change different keyboard layout when press Fn + \ for 2 seconds.
(LED [A] flash blue once)
- Default — QWERTY
- Press 1 time — DVORAK
- Press 2 time — COLEMAK
Macro
▮ Macro Programming Instruction:
- Macro programming is prohibited on the default layer.
- Macro is not allowed on the following keys, for example: Pn / Fn / L_Shift / R_Ctrl.

Choose Layer 1, 2 or 3.Fn+A – – Default (LED [M] Off)
Fn+S – – Layer1 (LED [M] Red)
Fn+D – – Layer 2 (LED [M] Green)
Fn+F – – Layer 3 (LED [M] Blue) -
Press Fn + L_Ctrl to enter marco mode. (LED [M] will light on white)

Reassign the key. The LED [M] will blink white.
3-1) Select the key position for the new macro.
3-2) Press the button to be changed (For example, select the “L” key first, and then press the “P” key. This would change the position of the “L” key to the “P” key) -
Press the Fn + Tab key once to save the new setting. (LED [M] will turn solid white)

Press Fn + L_Ctrl again to exit the macro mode. (LED [M] will turn off)

Repeat step 1 through 5 to change any of the original key to other keys.
Remapping:
▮ Fn Remapping Instruction:
- Remapping is prohibited on the default layer.
- You cannot move the Fn key to L_Ctrl and L_Shift in Layer 1, 2 or 3 .
- To move a command from one key to another.
For example, to remap the Fn key to the Caps Lock key.

Choose Layer 1, 2 or 3. Fn+A – – Default (LED [M] Off)
Fn+S – – –Layer1 (LED [M] Red)
Fn+D – – Layer2 ( L E D [M] Green)
Fn+F – – Layer3 ( L E D [M] Blue) -
Press Fn + L_Shift for 3 seconds (LED [A] light flash white 2 times)

Press Fn Key again.

Press the New Function Key (for example Caps Lock).

The Target Key is now remapped as the New Function Key.
(for example, now the Fn command is activated when pressing the Caps Lock key).
Reset:
- Reset Current Single Layer (to factory settings): Choose Layer 1, 2 or 3 then press Fn + R for about 1 seconds (LED [M] will flash White once).
- Full Keyboard Reset (to factory settings): Press 2 Alt keys together for 1 seconds. (LED [M] will flash White 3 times).
*Warning: all programmed layers, macros and remaps will be lost.
DIP Switch:
- Dip Switch 1 ON: Mac layout; OFF for Windows layout.
- Dip Switch 2 ON: Caps lock and Fn keys exchange position.
- Dip Switch 3 ON: Caps lock and L_Ctrl keys exchange position.
- Dip Switch 4 ON: L_Win and L_Alt keys exchange position.
Bluetooth Pairing:
▮ Interface Swich:
- Press Fn + Z for about 2 seconds = USB mode (LED [B] will flash blue once)
- Press Fn + X for about 2 seconds = BT Device 1 (LED [B] will flash blue once)
- Press Fn + C for about 2 seconds = BT Device 2 (LED [B] will flash blue once)
- Press Fn + V for about 2 seconds = BT Device 3 (LED [B] will flash blue once)
▮ Keyboard Palring:

Turn the BT switch to“ ON HZ ” .

Press Fn + X/ C/V for about 2 seconds to choose deivce.

Press BT Button for about 2 seconds, the LED [B] start flashing blue.

Turn on PC Bluetooth and other devices settings.

Select “ Add Bluetooth or other devices ”.

Add a device and select “ Mistel1 / Mistel2 / Mistel3 ”

Complete. (the LED [B] will turn off after pairing)
*Note: The battery will be fully charged within 3.5 hours. When you operate the RGB LED under BT mode, Build-in lithium battery will be no power after 70 minutes.

Pn+C/V = adjust LED Brightness.

Additional Operations

- Press Fn + L_Win for about 2 seconds = Lock / Unlock (LED [A] flash blue once)
▮ Arrow Key Display
- Press L_Win + R_Alt + R_Spacebar for about 2 seconds = Arrow Key Display
(LED [A] flash blue once)
Mac OS Function
- You can not upgrade the keyboard firmware under Mac OS.
- Ensure DIP switch is in Mac mode. (DIP switch 1 On)

Troubleshooting:
▮ If the keyboard is not working properly, do the following steps.
- Perform a single layer reset on the layer that is not working properly.
- Perform a full keyboard reset.
- Replug all keyboard cables.
▮ If the left half of the keyboard does not work properly, do the following steps.
- Check the USB C cable joining the two halves. Inspect the cable to check if it is faulty.
- Visually check if the right and left USB connectors on the keyboard are damaged.
- Confirm that the right half is working properly alone (unplug the left side).
- Download firmware for the keyboard and test again after replug.
▮ I f the key fails to work or respond properly, please check it by the following steps.
- Check that all 4 dip switches are off.
- Perform a single layer reset on the layer that is not working properly.
- Perform a full keyboard reset.
- Check whether a single key does not respond or multiple keys do not respond.
– If a single key does not respond, there may be a shaft fault that needs to be repaired.
– If there are multiple keys that do not respond at the same time, a short circuit may be present somewhere inside the keyboard.
Firmware Update:
▮ How to download or update firmware on the MISTEL keyboard:
- Download new firmware from MISTEL web-site, www.mistelkeyboard.com/support
- Connect and upgrade the firmware by each side separately.
◼◻ Note: Mac OS does not support the firmware update software.
▮ Do not connect the coiled cable between Left and Right keyboard while
updating.
▮ Firmware will detect the keyboard version automatically when plug-in.
- If the “ current keyboard firmware version” is blank, please make sure you download the correct firmware version from MISTEL web-site.
Warranty Description:
- The warranty for each keyboard is one year. I f the keyboard fails after the warranty period, MISTEL can repair the keyboard but you will be asked to pay for shipping to and from MISTEL. Repair costs will only be charged for major parts failures.
- I f the keyboard fails within one year, we will provide free repair service. Please send the keyboard to us for maintenance and repair. We will send it back to you as soon as possible after repair or provide parts for you to replace on your own.
- I f the keyboard i s damaged due to human factors or the keyboard i s damaged due to external forces, we can provide repairs but will charge shipping and repair fees. If the keyboard has water or fluid inside the PCB, Do Not wash it with w a t e r , but use only a dry cloth. Fluid in the keyboard can cause corrosion, requiring the entire PCB to be replaced.
