DESCRIPTION
Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery. Ideal for quick and simple cleaning in the hot tub or spa, as well as in the swimming pool. There are no hoses or cords required. Ideal for Intex’s small in-ground, soft-sided, and above-ground pools. Includes a detachable 7.5″ vacuum head for general cleaning or simply remove to expose the nose cone head for difficult to reach areas. Captures a wide range of debris, including acorns, twigs, leaves, dirt, and sand. The Catfish is powered by a lithium ion battery and can run for up to 45 minutes. Push-button control. Lightweight and simple to operate by hand or with any standard telescopic pool pole. Pools that are simple to clean; Easy Set, Metal Frame, and PVC Frame pools. (No pole included)

- For pluggable equipment, the socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible.
- Keep proper footing and balance at all times when using the cleaner. Do not overreach.
- Please disconnect this equipment from AC outlet before cleaning. Don’t use liquid or sprayed detergent for cleaning. Use moisture sheet or cloth for cleaning.
- This cleaner contains rechargeable batteries. Do not incinerate the battery as it will explode at high temperatures. Always dispose of batteries in accordance with local law.
- Leaks from a battery may occur under extreme conditions. If battery liquid gets on the skin, wash immediately with water. If it gets in your eyes, immediately flush your eyes with a mild solution of baking soda and water, and seek medical attention.
- Keep hair, loose fitting clothing and all body parts away from openings and moving parts of this cleaner.
USAGE INFORMATION
- Use this product only for its intended purpose as described in this manual. Use only Water Tech accessories and filters.
- This product is not intended for commercial use.
- If the equipment is not in use for long time, disconnect the equipment from mains to avoid being damaged by transient over-voltage.
- Never leave your cleaner in water when it is “OFF” or when it has run out of power.
- Do not use your cleaner for pool openings; the cleaner is designed for routine maintenance of your pool or spa.
- The cleaner is designed for underwater use in swimming pools or spas only. It is not an all-purpose vacuum cleaner.
- Submerge the cleaner in water immediately after turning the unit “ON” to prevent damage to the seal on the motor shaft. Failure to do so will shorten the life of the water seal and / or void the warranty.
- Avoid picking up sharp objects as they may damage the filter. Keep all openings on the cleaner free of debris which may reduce water flow.
- Do not place the cleaner or charger on or near hot surfaces.
- For best results use the charger in locations where temperatures are between 50˚ F / 10˚C and 100˚ F / 37.7˚ C.
- For connection to a supply not in the U.S.A., use an attachment plug adapter of the proper configuration for the power outlet.

will it pick up thick wet leaves and pine needles that were dropped over winter? Pool was not closed properly.
It will pick up some, put not a whole lot at a time You will have to keep dumping quite often. I have a 14ft above ground pool, and it is perfect for that size, I love this vac.
Do I need to purchase the pole separately?
Yes. We used a 1″ PVC conduit length and duct taped alongside. The actual handle hole diameter does NOT meet standard USA sizes (it is made in China), and ONLY intex I believe has that pole which will fit inside this vacuum’s handle. Otherwise, you will have to Jerry Rig a long pole as we have done last few years.
What powers the catfish pool cleaner?
mine only charged by internal rechargeable , guess it got wet somewhere along the line. Will not recharge, but going to get another because it works lots better than intex vac.
does it come with a long handle?
The vacuum does not include a handle. You would use or own or purchase one separately.
where can I get one that has an on/off button instead of the cap where you have to twist it
The Pool Blaster has a push button On/Off switch on the top. Easy on and off.
how is it powered?
it is powered by a rechargeable battery. The cord is supplied and the plug in is behind a water seal. I have not had a problem with the power running out while I needed to use it.
what does the diameter of the pole need to be for it can fit into the vacuum?
I bought the telescopic pole and the inside dimension is 1 inch I also had a 1-inch pvc pipe that I drilled the holes in myself and it works good too.
Well this work well on a 22ft aboveground pool
I don’t know why it shouldn’t. The only problem I have is the bags are so small, I have to stop and empty the bag a good bit so be prepare. Good news is the item does work.
we have pea gravel in our above ground pool, does this have enough suction to clean that up?
I truly don’t know. My neighbor has some pea gravel in her yard. I will see if it will pick it up and let you know.
Is this suitable for a soft side above ground pool?
The Pool Blaster Catfish Li cleans all types of pools. The Catfish Li is lightweight and user friendly.
