What should I do if Osmo Action 3/DJI Action 2/Osmo Action fails to connect to DJI Mimo or there is a connection error?

  1. Confirm that the DJI Mimo app has been updated to the latest version.

  2. Reset the connection on the Osmo Action 3/DJI Action 2/Osmo Action. Reset Osmo Action 3/DJI Action 2/Osmo Action connection: Go to System Settings – Wireless Connection, and reset the connection (Reset all connections and Wi-Fi passwords).

  3. Check the region where the user is located and the mobile phone model to check that the Wi-Fi frequency is supported by the corresponding mobile phone or in the corresponding region (the frequency that a mobile phone supports can be checked on the parameter page on the official website of the mobile phone brand). Then, follow the steps below based on the supported Wi-Fi:

    • Set the Osmo Action 3/DJI Action 2/Osmo Action Wi-Fi frequency.

    • If the current region or mobile phone model only supports the 2.4 GHz frequency, set the Osmo Action 3/DJI Action 2/Osmo Action Wi-Fi frequency to 2.4 GHz. Go to: Settings – Wireless Connection – Wi-Fi Frequency.

    • If the current region and mobile phone model supports 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz, set the Osmo Action 3/DJI Action 2(2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz)/Osmo Action Wi-Fi frequency to Auto (default). Go to: Settings -Wireless Connection – Wi-Fi Frequency.

    • Go to Osmo Action 3/DJI Action 2/Osmo Action Settings – Wireless Connection – Wireless Information and stay on the page, as shown below:

    • Open the mobile phone Settings- Wi-Fi List and connect to the Wi-Fi signal started with Osmo Action.
      Notes: If the mobile phone supports WLAN+/WLAN Assistant, disable the WLAN+/WLAN Assistant to prevent the mobile phone system from switching to Wi- Fi automatically.

    • Launch DJI Mimo. After the device is identified, go to Camera View.

Why APP can not be installed in Android Phone?

  1. Go to the mobile phone’s “System Settings” and find “Installing an Unknown Application”. Enable the “Allow application installation from this source” switch.
  2. Check the mobile phone’s internal storage, and clear its cache. The remaining memory must be greater than 2GB.
  3. If the “Installing an Unknown Application” setting has been enabled, ask the customer to back up the photos and videos. Uninstall the earlier version of the app and then restart the mobile phone. Download and install the app from the DJI official website. For example, when a Google Pixel 3 (Android 12) is being used, the mobile phone needs to allow the built-in browser (such as Chrome or other browser apps) to install an unknown app.
  4. If the Mimo app cannot be installed from the browser, try to find the APK file of the DJI Mimo in the File Manager for installation. (Alternatively, re-download the installation package, and move it to the device’s internal storage root directly for installation.)

What should I do if the Wi-Fi signals cannot be found when using the Osmo Action/Pocket series with the Google Pixel series (Android 13)?

  1. If the Osmo Action 3 is activated: Please update the firmware to the latest version (at least v01.01.04.40). Then, the display on the DJI Mimo’s search page will restore to normal.
  2. If the Osmo Action 3 is not activated or another DJI product (such as: DJI Action 2 or DJI Pocket 2) is used, please follow the information below for instruction:
    • Go to the DJI product’s “System settings > Wireless Connection > Wireless Info” to check the Wi-Fi SSID and password.
    • Go to the mobile phone’s “System Settings – WLAN Settings” and find the Wi-Fi corresponding to the DJI product. Enter the DJI product’s Wi-Fi password.
    • Then, launch DJI Mimo again and tap the product for usage.
  • This process is equivalent to skipping the scanning and verification steps in the DJI Mimo app and launching the app in connection status. By doing so, the app then will automatically go straight to the camera view.
  • When using your brand-new Osmo Action 3 for the first time, you have five chances to skip the activation process for product experience. Once the provided chances have been used up, you need to connect the camera to the DJI Mimo app for activation.

Tested in a laboratory environment with different video specifications, EIS disabled, and screens off, and should be used for reference only. The operating time of the 4K/120fps specification is not the battery exhaustion time. The actual operating time is related to ambient temperature and other factors.
The DJI 30W USB-C Charger is sold separately.
Tested in a 25° C (77° F) laboratory environment while using the DJI 30W USB-C Charger with the photo taking/video recording function disabled and the screens off. Should be used for reference only.
