Strand RDM-6WALL Signal Splitter
OVERVIEW
This is a wall mounted 6 way RDM splitter, featuring one RDM IN / THRU and 6 RDM OUTPUTS. This unit takes the incoming RDM/DMX signal and splits the signal into six separate OUTPUT channels. Each OUTPUT and the IN / THRU are completely electronically isolated from each other, all six OUTPUT ports have independent output driver to boost the RDM / DMX signal.
INSTALLATION AND SET UP
MOUNTING
To mount RDM-6WALL Signal Splitter:
Step 1. Drive 4 screws into the wall according to the position of the
housing.
Step 2. Aim the 4 mounting hole to the 4 screws driven into the wall.
Step 3. Move the unit downwards, the whole unit is settled.
NOTE: The socket-outlet shall be installed near the equipment and shall
be easily accessible.
DATA CABLE (DMX CABLE) REQUIREMENTS
The RDM-6wall is controlled via DMX-512 protocol and your DMX controller
requires a standard 3-pin terminal connector for data input and data output.
Connect the RDM-6wall and your fixtures together using standard 3 pin DMX
cables. The RDM-6wall uses DMX-512 protocol to operate your fixtures.
Terminate the DMX/RDM THRU port on the last unit in the data run by attaching
a 120ohm, 0.5W resistor between Data + and Data – wires.
WARNINGS AND NOTICES
When using electrical equipment, basic safety precautions should always be
followed including the following:
- For indoor, dry locations use only. Do not use outdoors.
- Do not mount near gas or electric heaters.
- Equipment should be mounted in locations and at heights where it will not readily be subjected to tampering by unauthorized personnel.
- The use of accessory equipment not recommended by the manufacturer may cause an unsafe condition and void warranty.
- Not for residential use. Do not use this equipment for other than intended use.
