INSTALLATION
Note: If this product is being used in conjunction with an external PIR or sensor, please confirm with the manufacturer of the sensors that they are compatible with LED luminaires.
- • Provide power to the required point of installation (refer to BS7671 for correct cabling methods). Suitable IP rated junction boxes should be used where required
- We recommend not installing in areas where there is a high risk of flooding
- Round cable should be used for the mains supply. The use of flat cable will cause water ingress to the fitting
- Note: Due to the height of this luminaire, we recommend installing it into fresh concrete.
- If fixing into fresh concrete: insert the 4 anchors into base mounting plate at the top ensuring to leave at least 25mm above the surface and set it into wet concrete (see Fig. 1)
- If fixing onto a solid surface: using the baseplate as a template, mark the location for, and drill the fixing holes ensuring not to infringe with any gas/water pipes or electrical cables. Fix the baseplate using suitable fixings (not provided)
- Remove the head of the bollard using an allen key to access the junction box
- Remove the 4 screws in each corner of the junction box access plate
- Feed the cable through the bottom of the fitting then through the compression gland on the rear of the access plate
- Ensuring correct polarity is observed, carefully wire as shown in Fig. 2
- The earth terminal is non-functional and only provided for convenience. Two cables can be inserted into the push-fit terminal block in order to achieve loop-in/loop-out wiring
- The colour temperature can be selected by the 3-position switch inside the junction box
- Replace the access plate and screws ensuring gasket is in place, then tighten the compression gland ensuring a tight seal to maintain the IP rating
- Reattach the head of the bollard
- Fit the bollard to the baseplate and fixings using the nuts and caps provided
- Switch on and check for correct operation
WARNING: This product must be disconnected from the circuit if subjected to any high voltage or insulation resistance testing. Irreparable damage will occur if this instruction is not followed.
