Thank you for purchasing Street Guardian Easy, the FULL HD car DVR.
Street Guardian Easy is a robust and compact car camcorder, with a stylish and
modern design, that is able to record whatever happens while you are driving.
A reliable witness in case of accidents or unforeseen events.
This product is based on maintaining the original appearance of the vehicle
and does not affect your driving and the view.
If compared to the other car camcorders, Street Guardian Easy stands out for
its exclusive design and elegant appearance, and perfectly fits inside the
vehicle.

Do not use the camera in damp conditions. Street Guardian Easy is not waterproof, so please do not expose it to water or rain.

Do not try to open the shell and repair it: this will void the warranty. If you experience problems, go to the professional service centre for repairing.

To clean the camera do not use thrill chemical substances or clean solvents, but only a moist soft cloth.

To avoid affecting the videos, do not use Street Guardian Easy in presence of excessive dust or fog.

At the end of its life, do not discard the camera randomly and do not throw it into the fire, it may explode.

Due to local laws and vehicles safety considerations, do not manually operate the device while driving.

This camera is intended for non-commercial use, within the limits permitted by applicable law. The company is NOT responsible for the loss of any data/content during operation

Notes on Installation
- Install the device near the rear-view mirror to obtain the best open-field view. Do NOT install the camcorder in a location that will obstruct your required driving view.
- Make sure that the lens 1s within the wiping range of the windscreen wiper to ensure a clear view even when it rains.
- Do not touch the lens with your fingers. Finger grease may be left on the lens and will result in un- clear videos or snapshots. Clean the lens regularly.
- Do not install the device on a tinted window. Doing so may damage the tint film.
- Make sure that the installation position is not hindered by the tinted window.
Description of the controls
- ON/OFF: Press shortly to turn on the camera; keep pressed to turn it off.
- MENU/MODE: press to enter the camera menu. Press repeatedly to switch between the me- nus. Keep pressed to change mode Video/Photo/Playback.
- ▲ UP: in the menu options, press to select the functions upwards. In case the optional rearview camera is connected, pressing this key changes the type of visualization (main camera and optional rearview camera).
- ▼ DOWN: in the menu options, press to select the functions downwards. Press shortly to enable/ disable the microphone.
- CONFIRMATION/RECORDING/PHOTO SHOOT BUTTON. In video mode, press shortly to start or stop recording. In Photo mode, press shortly to take a photo. In MENU mode, press to confirm your selection.
- 2” SCREEN.
- LENS. Rotate the lens to adjust the angle view.
- RESET: press with a pointed object to reset the camera to factory settings.
- MICRO SD CARD SLOT.
- MICRO USB PORT: for connection to a PC and recharge.
- REAR CAM: jack for the optional rear camera connection.
Getting Started
Inserting the Memory Card
Insert the memory card into the proper slot of Street Guardian Easy.
Push the memory card until it clicks into place. To remove the memory card:
push to eject the memory card out of the slot.
Note:
- Do not remove or insert the memory card when the device is powered on. This may damage the memory card.
- For this camcorder use class 10 micro SD cards with a capacity up to 64 GB.
- It is recommended to format the micro SD cards before the initial use.
Installing in Vehicles
Mount to Windshield
- Attach the mounting support to the device. Slide it into the bracket holder until you hear a click.
- Carefully clean the windshield before applying the camera.
- Fix the camera on the windshield nearby the rear view mirror, without blocking the line of sight.
- Hide the cable into the car ceiling.
- When the cable reaches the top corner of the car door, insert the cable into the split as shown in the picture (A).
- Open the sealing strip on the edge of the car door, insert the cable along the strip (B).
- Plug in the cigarette lighter as shown in the picture (C).
Charge and power on/off instructions
Charging
To power on the device and to recharge the incorporated battery, use only the
car charger included in the box.
Once the vehicle engine is started, the camera automatically turns on.
Attention: in some vehicles the cigarette lighter has no outage after the
vehicle turns off, this means that the automatic turning on/off is not
possible. Therefore the camera must be manually switched on/off.
Please make sure to charge Street Guardian Easy at least two hours before
using for the first time, to avoid camera time restore to default setting due
to battery out of power.
Auto power on/off
When used as driving recorder, it is required to turn ON the “Loop Recording”.
When the car charger is plugged-in into the 12V socket of your vehicle, every
time the engine Is turned on, Street Guardian Easy will start recording video;
when the vehicle engine is turned off, the data will be saved, and the device
will automatically shutdown.
Attention: in some vehicles the 12V plug does not switch off the power when
the engine is turned off, therefore the automatic turning on and off cannot be
done. You have to do it manually.
Manual power on/off
Press the Power control: the blue and red leds will turn on.
Keep pressed the Power to turn it on: the blue and red leds will switch off.
Attention: in case of very low battery, the camera will emit an acoustic sound
and then switch off.
Recharge
To recharge Street Guardian Easy connect it to the 12V car charger supplied in
the package or use the USB cable and connect it to a PC or to a charger.
The camera however, must be always powered while in use : the built-in
battery is used only to correctly save the file before turning off the device.
In standby conditions the battery life lasts a few minutes, so the camera must
be always used while powered through the supplied cable.

Basic operation instructions about photo/video/playback
Video mode and recording
- When the camera Is turned on, it automatically enters the video mode: there is a video camera icon shown on the top left corner of the LCD;
- Short press the A\ button to start recording, the red led starts flashing, indicating that the DVR is recording.
- Short press again the A button to stop recording.
While recording:
Press ▼ to enable/disable the microphone
Photo mode
- Keep pressed the Menu button to switch to photo mode : there is a photo camera icon shown on the top left corner of the LCD;
- Short press the A button to take photo. The LCD will be flash once.
Video/photo playback mode
- In Photo mode, press Menu to switch to playback mode.
- Select the desired file with ▲ or ▼.
- Press AX to playback a single fle.

Video settings
- When the camera is turned on, tt automatically enters the video mode: the video icon will be shown on the top left corner of the LCD;
- Press shortly the Menu button once to switch to Video setting.
The following setting options are available on the display:
- Resolution
- Loop recording
- Display mode
- WDR
- Exposure
- Motion Detection
- Record Audio
- Date Stamp
- G sensor sensitivity
- Parking monitor
Press ▲ or ▼ to browse the setting options, press A to enter the setting,
change the feature by means of the ▲ or ▼ controls and confirm your selection
by pushing A
Attention: during the video recording it is not allowed to enter the
Menu; first stop recording.

Resolution: TO8OFHD / 720P VGA.

Loop Recording: Off / Imin / Smin / 10min.
When this mode is OFF, the camera stops recording when the micro SD card is full. If this function is enabled, the car camcorder continues recording and will overwrite the older videos. The videos protected by overwriting won’t be deleted. -
Display mode: if you use the optional rear cam, this feature allows to customize the display visualization.

WDR (wide dynamic range): On / Off.
WDR feature improves the overall exposure throughout your entire image. It enables the camera to pick up greater details in dark shadows, while making sure that the highlights don’t get blown out. -
Exposure: +2.0 /+1.7/+1.3/+1.0/+0.7/+0.3/0.0/-0.3/-0.7/ -1.0/-1.3/-171-2.0
If light source is lower or higher, it can increase or decrease exposure value to improve image clearness. -
Motion Detection: On / Off.
This function 1s disabled by default. Before activating or enabling it, you have to select “Auto off” OFF (Automatic switching off). With the motion detection feature the camera automatically starts recording every time a movement Is picked up: either a person or an object; and will stop recording as soon the motion stops.
Important: the motion detection picks up evident movements and not the little ones; therefore this may cause a chopped recording because little motions are not detected.
Record Audio: On / Off.
The camera records video with audio; when this mode is OFF, it will record only videos. -
Date Stamp: On / Off.
When this function is on, the unit shows date and time on video. -
G sensor: Off / Low / Medium / High.
When the G sensor is enabled, in case of car collision it will automatically save and lock the file. -
Parking monitor: On / Off.
This feature is disabled by default. When the vehicle vibrates owing to a collision, the camera will automatically turn on and start recording. Street Guardian Easy will be recording for 30 seconds and this file will be locked and protected from being overwritten by cycle recording. To ensure a good performance of this feature, the battery must be fully charged or the unit must be powered.
System settings
In every mode, press the Menu button twice to enter the system settings.
The following options are available on the display:
- Date/Time
- Auto power off
- Beep sound
- Language
- Screen saver
- Licence plate number
- Screen rotation
- Format
- Default setting
- Version
Shortly press▲/▼ to browse the setting options; press A\ to enter the
function.
Select the desired setting with ▲/▼ and confirm by pushing A
Attention: during the video recording it is not allowed to enter the Menu;
first stop recording.

Date/Time: set year/month/day and time.
Press AX to change field and ▲/▼ to change value. -
Auto power off: Off /1 minute / 3 minutes / 5 minutes.
If the camera is not recording and no button is pressed within the set period, the unit will turn off. -
Beep sound: Off / On.

Language: select the desired language.

Sereen saver: if no button is pressed within the set period, the LCD will turn off. It is possible to adjust the this pre-set time: Off (Screen saver disabled) / 1 minute / 3 minutes.
By default, the screen saver will activate after 3 minutes.
Licence plate number: insert your car plate number or ID.
Press ▲/▼ to change the digits and Ato change field. -
Format: select “SD Card” and then confirm. This procedure will format the SD card.

Default setting: select A to reset to default settings.

Version: shows info about the Armware version.
Photo settings
- After power on, press the Menu button to switch to photo mode: the photo icon will appear on the top left corner of the LCD.
- Shortly push Menu to enter Photo settings.
The following options are available on the display:
- Capture mode
- Resolution
- Burst photo
- Quality
- Anti-shaking
- Date Stamp
Press ▲/▼ to browse the setting options.
Push AX to enter the setting, use ▲/▼ to change it and confirm your selection
by pushing A

Capture Mode: Single / 2S Timer / 5S Timer / 10S Timer.
When you press A to take a photo, the photo will be taken after the selected interval. -
Resolution: 12 M/1O0M/8M/5M.

Burst photo: Off / On.
The camera will shoot pictures quickly. -
Quality: fine / Normal / Economy.

Anti-Shaking: On / Off.
When On improves the stability of the photos.
Date Stamp: Off / On.
Playback settings
After power on, press the Menu button twice to switch to playback mode: the
playback icon will appear on the top left corner of the LCD; push Menu to
enter the setting.
The following options are available on the display:
- Delete
- Protect
- Slideshow
Use the ▲/▼ controls to browse the function options, press A to enter the
setting.
Select the desired option with ▲/▼ and confirm with A

Delete: Delete Current / Delete All.
Select if you want to delete the current selected flle or all flles. -
Protect: Lock current / Unlock Current / Lock All / Unlock All. Lock/unlock the selected file or all files.

Slideshow: 2/5 / 8 seconds.
This feature sets how long a file preview is shown before proceeding to the next one.
FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
Under normal operating conditions, if you experience problems with the device, please refer to the following suggestions.

Cannot take pictures and record.
Please check whether there is enough space for of SD card. -
Automatic stop while recording.
Due to the huge amount of HD video data, please use high-speed 10 Class SD card, SDHC compatible. The SD card must be supplied with Class 10 (C10) indication on it -
The LCD shows “file error” during the photo/video replay.
Uncompleted files because of SD card storage error, please format your SD card. -
Fuzzy image.
Please check if the lens !s dirty and clean it before shooting. -
Dark image when shooting the scene of sky or water.
Exposure can be wrong when there is big light difference between the scene. -
Crash.
Restart by pressing shortly on “RESET” button after crash.
