FUNCTION CONTROL SWITCH

  • FWD – Shredder is on and will run until turned off.
  • AUTO – Shredder in standby mode, shredding starts when paper sheets are inserted into the feed opening.
  • OFF – Shredder is off and will not run.
  • REV – Shredder will rotate in opposite direction, forcing paper to exit at top.

IMPORTANT SAFETY GUIDELINES

  • Do not exceed maximum recommended number of sheets when feeding paper into shredder.
  • Do not put paper clips or staples into shredder to avoid damaging the blades.
  • Always unplug the shredder before cleaning the waste bin.
  • Unplug the shredder if not in use for extended periods of time.
  • Keep ties, jewelry, hair, etc. away from the shredder feed opening to ensure personal safety.
  • Avoid touching the feed opening with hands.
  • Keep aerosol products away from shredder as these can damage motor.
  • Do not place near heat sources or in humid environment for extended periods of time.
  • Place shredder far away from areas frequented by children and pets.
  • Product is not intended for use by children (product is not a toy).

OPERATION

  1. Read and follow all safety instructions before using the shredder.
  2. Make sure that shredder head is resting securely on top of waste bin.
  3. Insert the power cord into electrical outlet.
  4. Turn switch to “AUTO” position, putting shredder in standby mode.
  5. Insert paper or credit card into feed opening and shredder should begin shredding.
  6. Once paper or credit card has cleared the head, shredder should return to standby mode.

EMPTY WASTE BIN

  1. Unplug the shredder power cord from the electrical outlet.
  2. Remove the shredder head from the waste bin by lifting the handle straight up.
  3. Empty the waste bin.
  4. Replace shredder head on waste bin.
  5. Plug shredder power cord back into outlet.

CLEARING PAPER JAMS

  1. Turn the switch to “REV” position.
  2. Shredder will rotate in opposite direction expelling any jammed paper out top of shredder head.
  3. Once the Shredder head has been cleared, turn the switch back to the “AUTO” position.
  4. Reduce the number of sheets to be shredded at one time.

OVERHEAT PROTECTION

  1. Frequent or continuous use may cause motor to exceed normal operating temperature.
  2. After approximately 5 minutes of continuous operation, the overheat protection feature causes motor to shut off.
  3. Unplug the shredder power cord from the electrical outlet and allow shredder motor to cool (approximately 60 minutes to completely cool).
  4. Once the motor has cooled it will return to normal operation.

  • Avoid hair touching the document feed opening.
  • Avoid touching the document feed opening with hands.
  • Avoid clothing touching the document feed opening.
  • Avoid shredding staples and clips.
  • Product is not intended for use by children (product is not a toy).
  • Keep aerosol products away.

LIMITED WARRANTY

LH Licensed Products, Inc., (“LHLP, Inc.”) warrants that for a period of one (1) year(cutter) / three (3) years (parts except cutter) from the date of purchase, this product will be free from structural or mechanical defects resulting from materials or workmanship. LHLP, Inc., at its sole option and as the purchaser’s sole remedy under this warranty, will repair or replace this product or any component of the product found to be defective during the warranty period. Replacement or repair will be made with a new or remanufactured product or component. If the product is no longer available, replacement may be made with a similar product of equal or greater value. THIS IS YOUR EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY.

This warranty is only valid for the original retail purchaser from the date of initial retail purchase and is not transferable. You must keep the original sales receipt. Proof of purchase is required to obtain warranty service.

LHLP, Inc. dealers, service centers, or retail stores selling this product do not have the right to alter, modify or in any way change the terms and conditions of this warranty.

This warranty does not apply to the finish on the product. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear of parts or damage resulting from any of the following: negligent use or misuse of the product, use contrary to the operating instructions, disassembly, repair or alteration by anyone other than LHLP, Inc. or an authorized service center, improper installation, or exposure to extremes of heat or humidity. Further, the warranty does not cover Acts of God, such as fire, flood, earthquakes, hurricanes and tornadoes.

LHLP, Inc. shall not be liable for any incidental or consequential damages caused by the breach of any express or implied warranty or otherwise relating to the
sale of this product. LHLP, Inc. is also not responsible for: costs associated with removing or installing the product; damage or loss of the contents of the product; nor for the unauthorized removal of the contents; or damages incurred during shipment.

THE ABOVE WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND LHLP, INC. DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL OTHER COVENANTS AND WARRANTIES.

Except to the extent prohibited by applicable law, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose is limited in duration to the duration of the above warranty period.
