Introducing The Monolith in to your washroom
You have just introduced The Splash Lab solid surface into your washroom it is the elegant, hygienic long lasting solid surface material used for the leading-edge designer wash basins. These guidelines will answer your questions on how to use and care for The Monolith wherever you have chosen to install it. Like all decorative materials, The Splash Lab Solid Surface responds best when handled with care.

Solid surface durability
The Splash Lab Solid Surface is inherently ‘renewable’ because it is solid and homogeneous all the way through. Most damage, including severe impact, heat or chemical damage, can usually be repaired on site (though not covered by warranty) to restore the original, smooth, hygienic solid surface integrity.

How to clean Solid Surface

Daily cleaning
Although liquids cannot penetrate the material, it is best to wipe up spills as they occur. Just use the dampened microfiber cloth provided with a standard household kitchen spray. Always clean in a circular motion. If a stain needs more attention, refer to our cleaning methods stated on page 4.

Once or twice a week
Accidental spills of strong chemicals (eg. paint stripper, brush cleaners, metal cleaners, cleaners containing methylene chloride, acid drain cleaners, acetone based nail varnish removers etc) should be flushed promptly with plenty of soapy water to avoid damage to the surface. For nail varnish spills, non-acetone based remover can be used, and then flushed with water. Undetected or prolonged exposure to chemicals may damage the surface

**CLEANING METHODS***

A| Remove excess with a soft cloth
B| Rinse surface with warm water & dry with a soft cloth
C| Use a damp microfibre cloth & The Splash Lab cleaner provided
D| Use a microfibre cloth & rub over the stain with a standard household kitchen spray
E| Use a microfibre cloth & rub over the stain with some diluted bleach.* Rinse thoroughly with a soft cloth.
F| Use a microfibre cloth & rub over the stain with some standard household lime-scale remover or vinegar. (eg Viakal). Rinse thoroughly with warm water & dry with a soft cloth.
G| Use a microfibre cloth & rub over the stain with a non-acetone based nail varnish remover.
H| Use a microfibre cloth & rub over the stain with a metal cleaner or rust remover.
I| If the stain persists, contact The Splash Lab Technical Department.

• Always clean using a circular motion. Please note, bleach can discolour the surface if not removed completely by rinsing with water afterwards.

Warranty

The Splash Lab will warrant that its products will be free of manufacturing and material defects during normal use and environmental conditions as detailed below:

Monolith hand wash units 1 year for the manufactured product; 10 years for solid surface used
If a defect is found in normal use, The Splash Lab will, at their discretion, repair, provide a replacement part or product, or make appropriate adjustments. Damage caused by accident, misuse, or abuse is not covered by this warranty. Improper care and cleaning will void the warranty. Non- operation of the product due to environmental conditions beyond our control, installation error, incorrect maintenance, water quality, fair wear and tear, incorrect or inappropriate installation, misuse, and abuse is not covered by the warranty. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided to The Splash Lab with all warranty claims. The above warranty is valid for goods supplied within the United Kingdom. For goods supplied outside of the United Kingdom, The Splash Lab will honor the above-stated warranty periods for the parts only.
