INTRODUCTION
The BA3902 Pageant USB Programming Cable enables PLC application code
developed within a CODESYS® Integrated Development Environment (IDE) on a PC
(personal computer) to be downloaded to a Pageant plugin CPU module.
The cable incorporates isolation and power limitation to prevent the CPU
module’s intrinsic safety components being damaged if the personal computer
develops a fault or is miss-connected.
CAUTION
The BA3902 cable is not intrinsically safe and does not have third party
certification, it should not be used in a gas or dust hazardous area, unless a
gas/dust clearance certificate is available
The CODESYS Development System may be downloaded free of charge from the
CODESYS website.

The BA3902 Pageant Programming Cable is CE marked to show compliance with the European EMC Directive 2014/30/EU. It is also UKCA marked to show compliance with the Electromagnetic Compatibility Regulations UKSI 2016:1091.
CONNECTION
The BA3902 Programming Cable should be plugged into a USB port on the PC
hosting the CODESYS IDE and to the programming port on the CPU module as shown
in Fig 2. The CPU module requires powering during downloading which may only
be performed in a non hazardous safe area, or in a hazardous area when a gas/
dust clearance certificate is available.

MAINTENANCE
The BA3902 Programming Cable should be inspected to ensure that it has not been damaged before use. No attempt should be made to repair a faulty BA3902 Programming Cable. Suspect cables should be returned to BEKA associates or your local BEKA agent.
GUARANTEE
A BA3902 Programming Cable which fails within the guarantee period should be returned to BEKA associates or your local BEKA agent. It is helpful if a brief description of the fault symptoms is provided.
