Please install the refrigerator where the temperature is 16°C to 43°C. If your refrigerator is installed in too low or high temperature, the internal cooling system may not work correctly.

Setting the Temperature Control

  • Your refrigerator has one control for regulating the temperature. The temperature control is located on the middle of the refrigerator compartment. As well as a control knob in the freezer to balance the cold air distribution between the two compartments.
  • The temperature control in the refrigerator compartment will control the actual cooling cycle whereasthe control knob in the freezer compartment will adjustthe distribution of the cold air between the freezer and the refrigerator compartments.
  • The first time you turn the unit on, adjust the temperature control knob to “MAX” or COLDEST” in the freezer compartment and “7” in the refrigerator compartment and run for at least 4 hours before placing foods inside. This will ensure the freezer cabinet is thoroughly chilled and the refrigerator compartment will be stabilized before food is placed. Then return selector to “MED” position in the freezer compartment and “4” in the refrigerator compartment.
  • Adjust the temperature control to the setting that best suits your needs. The setting of “4” in the refrigerator compartment and “MED” in the freezer compartment will distribute the cold air equally between both compartments which should be appropriate for home or office refrigerator use.
  • If you at any time want to distribute a larger amount of cold air to the freezer for example is a large amount of food has been added to the freezer, simply move the controller to the “MAX” position until the desired temperature has been attained then return the controllerto the “MED” position.
  • If you at any time want to distribute a larger amount of cold air to the refrigerator section, for example to quickly cook down if a large amount of fresh food has been added, simply move the controllerin the freezer to the “MIN” position until the desired temperature has been attained and then return the controller to the “MED” position.

NOTE:

  • IF THE UNIT IS UNPLUGGED, HAS LOST POWER, OR IS TURNED OFF, YOU MUST WAIT 3 TO 5 MINUTES BEFORE RESTARTING THE UNIT. IF YOU ATTEMPT TO RESTART BEFORE THIS TIME DELAY, THE REFRIGERATOR-FREEZER WILL NOT START.

NOTE:
WE DO NOT RECOMMEND THE INSTALLATION OF THE REFRIGERATOR WHERE THE TEMPERATURE WILL DROP BELOW 50ºF (13ºC) OR RISE ABOVE 110ºF (43ºC). THE COMPRESSOR WILL NOT BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN PROPER TEMPERATURES INSIDE THE REFRIGERATOR. FOR INSTALLATIONS WHERE THE TEMPERATURES WILL DROP BELOW 50ºF SET THE FREEZER TEMPERATURE CONTROL TO THE “COLDEST” SETTING. THIS WILL IMPROVE THE OPERATIONS OF THE REFRIGERATOR UNDER THESE CONDITIONS.
Freezing Fresh Foods

Interior cleaning
You should regularly clean the inside of the appliance. It will be easier to clean it when food stocks are low. Wipe down the inside of the fridge-freezer with a weak baking soda solution, then rinse with lukewarm water using a sponge or wrung out cloth. Wipe dry completely before replacing shelves and baskets. Thoroughly dry all surfaces and removable parts. Although this appliance defrosts automatically, a layer of frost may form on the interior walls of the freezer compartment if the freezer door is opened frequently or left open for too long. If the frost is too thick, pick a time when food stocks are low and do the following:

  1. Remove the existing food and accessory baskets, disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and leave the doors open. Be sure to ventilate the room well to speed up the defrosting process.
  2. When defrost is complete, clean your freezer as described above. Warning ! Do not use sharp objects to remove the no-Frost from the freezer compartment. Once the interior is completely dry, the appliance can be reconnected to the mains socket and restarted.

Cleaning the door seals
Take care to keep the door seals clean. Sticky foods and drinks can cause the gaskets to stick to the compartment and damage them when you open the door. Wash the gaskets with a mild detergent and hot water. Rinse them and dry them completely after cleaning.
Warning! Once the door gaskets are completely dry, the appliance can be reconnected to the power outlet and restarted.
