Activation and Installation

To activate your Firebox, follow these steps:

  1. Go to www.watchguard.com/activate
  2. Log in to your WatchGuard account or create a new account. If you create a new account, return to the activation page after finishing the account creation process.

To install and set up your Firebox, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure your computer is configured to use DHCP.
  2. Connect your Firebox and power it on.
  3. Go to https://10.0.1.1:8080.
  4. Log in with the username “admin” and the passphrase “readwrite”.
  5. Follow the directions in the Web Setup Wizard to configure your Firebox.
  6. Install the Firebox in your network.

Product Usage Instructions

Connect Your Firebox and Power It On
Before you can connect to your Firebox, you need to connect it to power and your computer. Make sure your computer is configured to use DHCP. When you connect to the Firebox, it will assign an IP address on the 10.0.1.0/24 network.

Connect to the Web UI

To access the Web UI, follow these steps:

  1. Go to https://10.0.1.1:8080.
  2. Log in with the username “admin” and the passphrase “readwrite”.
  3. Follow the directions in the Web Setup Wizard to configure your Firebox.
  4. Install the Firebox in your network.

This device is a 5GHz wideband transmission system (transceiver), intended for use in all EU member states and EFTA countries, except in France and Italy where restrictive use applies. In Italy the end-user should apply for a license at the national spectrum authorities in order to obtain authorization to use the device for setting up outdoor radio links and/or for supplying public access to telecommunications and/or network services. This device may not be used for setting up outdoor radio links in France and in some areas the RF output power may be limited to 10 mW EIRP in the frequency range of 2454 – 2483.5 MHz. For detailed information the end-user should contact the national spectrum authority in France.
