IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electric appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including the following:
- Read all instructions before using.
- Before using the appliance, ensure that the voltage of your power supply corresponds to the one on the rating plate found on the bottom of the appliance.
- Do not use the attached power base for other than its intended use.
- Do not operate the appliance empty to avoid damaging the heating element.
- Always disconnect power cord from the power supply when appliance is not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool before attaching or detaching parts and before cleaning.
- Do not allow power cord to hang over edge of table counter or touch hot surface.
- Do not place appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliances by a person responsible for their safety.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Do not immerse power cord, power plug or appliance in water or other liquids to avoid hazards and personal injuries.
- Avoid contacting with hot escaping steam from the spout when water is/after boiling.
- Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
- CAUTION: Do not touch hot surfaces. Use the handle or the button.
- CAUTION: The use of attachments that are not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may result in fire, electric shock or personal injury.
- If power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
- Do not use the appliance for other than intended use. Do not use outdoors.
- The appliance can only be operated with the supplied power base.
- CAUTION: If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected.
- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
- Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments; – Farm houses;
- By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; – Bed and breakfast type environments.
IMPORTANT
- Ensure water level is between the MAX and MIN levels.
- During operation and afterwards, the appliance’s accessible surfaces will get very hot.The heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.
- Always hold the appliance by the handle.
- Do not overfill the kettle as boiling water may be ejected during operation.
- Always ensure the lid is closed and do not lift it when water is boiling to prevent scalding or other injuries.
- Use the appliance only on a level work surface.
- Exercise extreme caution when moving an appliance containing hot water. Do not move the appliance with the appliance still connected to the power supply

BEFORE FIRST USE
- Before first time use, boil fresh water at least three times in the appliance. Use only water without any additives or ingredients. Wipe the surface with damp cloth after boiling.
- Completely unwind and untangle the length of the power cord at the bottom section of the base.
- Ensure that the voltage of your power supply corresponds to the one on the rating plate found on the bottom of the appliance
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
- Place the appliance on a flat, stable surface.
- Press the lid release button on the handle to open the lid.
- Fill in desired water level between the MAX and MIX levels and close the lid. NOTE: Do not fill the water over the maximum level, as water may spill out of the spout when boiling.
- Position the kettle onto the power base.
- Connect the appliance to the power supply.
- Switch on by pressing the Power ON/OFF switch. The power light will illuminate.
- The appliance will power off automatically after the boiling has completed. The power light will disappear.
- After boiling, disconnect the power cord from the power supply and empty the contents.
IMPORTANT NOTES
- Always power off the appliance before removing it from the power base.
- Ensure to power off the power base before positioning the appliance.
- Keep the lid tightly closed when dispensing water.
- During operation the kettle body will become hot. Do not touch it and allow the appliance to cool down before storing it away.
- If the appliance is not used for long time, boil fresh water to MAX level mark 3 4 times and discard before boiling for drinking
CARE AND CLEANING
- Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet and leave it to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Never immerse the appliance or power cord in water and other liquids, or allow moisture to contact with these parts.
- Clean the external housing by wiping with a damp cloth and mild detergent cleanser.
- CAUTION: Do not use harsh chemicals, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the appliance’s exterior.
- Clean the filter with a mild detergent and damp cloth at intervals.
DESCALING
- The frequency of the descaling operation depends on the hardness of the water on how often the appliance is used.
- The appliance needs descaling if it switches off before the water boils.
- Pour a small amount of vinegar or commercially available descaling agent and water into the kettle.
- Power on the appliance on and boil for 1-3 minutes to descale.
- After descaling, boil fresh water 3-4 times to remove any residues. Do not consume this water
STORAGE
- When not in use or for storage, wind the power cord around the cord storage under the base of kettle. Cover and store the appliance in a cool place.
