TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM | SOLUTION |
---|---|
Rice is too dry/hard after cooking | If rice is dry, hard or chewy when |
appliance switches to WARM, add additional water and cooking time to soften
the rice. Depending on how dry the rice is, add 1⁄2 to 1 cup of water and stir
thoroughly. Replace lid and select COOK. When appliance switches to WARM mode,
remove lid and stir rice to inspect consistency. Repeat as necessary until
rice is soft and moist.
Rice is too moist/soggy after cooking| If rice is moist and soggy after
appliance switches to WARM, use the rice scoop to stir the rice. This will
redistribute the bottom part (moistest) of the rice and release excess
moisture. Replace lid and allow to remain on WARM mode for 10-30 minutes as
required. Remove the lid and stir periodically to excess moisture.
