SETUP

Installation location

The appliance’s energy consumption and efficient operation are aPected by the ambient temperature. For this reason, it is important to follow the following recommendations

  • Place your refrigerator-freezer on a stable, level surface. Your appliance will be heavy when loaded with food: it must, therefore, be placed on a strong, solid floor.
  • The appliance must be installed in a dry, well-ventilated room at room temperature (16°C minimum and 38°C maximum). Make sure you leave a space of at least 10 cm around the appliance.
  • Never place an appliance that emits heat (microwaves, toasters, etc.) on the refrigerator.
  • The appliance must not be exposed to direct sunlight.
  • This appliance must not be exposed to moisture or rain.
  • The appliance must not be installed next to a radiator, a stove or any other heat source.
  • The appliance must be installed in such a way that the power point is accessible.
  • Make sure after installing it that it is not resting on its power cord.
  • Leave the appliance in its final location for two hours before plugging it in. This will allow the refrigerant circuit to stabilise.
  • WARNING: To avoid any risk, due to instability, the appliance must be secured in accordance with these instructions.

Climate classes

Install the appliance only in a location where the room temperature matches the
climate class for which it was designed (see table below) .
The climate class is on the rating plate located on the outside of the appliance.

The table below shows the correct room temperature for each climate class:

Climate classes Room temperature
SN From +10°C to +32°C
N +16 to +32°C

USE

Getting started

  • Before plugging the appliance in to the electrical outlet for the first time, please let the appliance rest for two hours, to allow the refrigerant gas to stabilize in the compressor. Not respecting this waiting period may damage the compressor.
  • Plug the appliance into an earthed socket.

Setting the temperature

The thermostat is located at the top right of the refrigerator compartment.
Temperature Setup

Press the “Adjust” button one or more times to adjust the temperature.

Turning to the setting… Corresponds to …
1 Highest temperature Hottest setting
3 Adjustment suitable for normal, everyday use
5 Lowest temperature Coldestsetting
  • Do not open the doors of the appliance for the first 30 minutes. We recommend leaving the refrigerator running empty (without any food inside) for about 1 to 2 hours (depending on the room temperature).
  • The temperature inside the appliance is a function of several factors, such as the
room temperature, the quantity of food stored, how often the doors are opened, etc.

NOTE: When the thermostat is set to“5“, you may hear the compressor running more often.

Press the “Mode” button one or more times to select “Smart” or “Super” mode.

THE “SMART” MODE
In “Smart” mode, the refrigerator automatically regulates the temperature of the two compartments, based on the internal temperature and the ambient temperature. When the mode indicator light is on, it means that the mode is on.
To deactivate this mode, press the “Mode” button until the indicator light for this mode goes out.

THE “SUPER FREEZING” MODE
In “SUPER” (super freezing) mode, the freezer compartment operates at its lowest temperature for 54 hours. At the end of this period, the temperature that was set before activating this mode is automatically restored.
To activate this mode, press the “Mode” button until the indicator light for this mode comes on.
To deactivate this mode, press the “Mode” button until the indicator light for this mode goes out.

The coldest zone

The symbol opposite indicates the location of the coldest zone of your refrigerator, where the temperature is less than or equal to 4°C. It is located above the fruit and vegetable drawer (see diagram on page 26). Given that the shelves are removable, always keep the shelf, located at the edge of the cold zone, in the position indicated by the sticker. This is to preserve the temperature in this area.

Temperature indicator
For proper food storage in your refrigerator and in particular in the coldest zone, make sure that “OK” temperature indicator appears. If “OK” does not appear, the average temperature of the zone is too high. Set the thermostat to a higher position.

Set the thermostat
Correct temperature

Whenever you adjust the thermostat, wait for the temperature inside the appliance to stabilise before adjusting it again, if necessary. Only change the position of the thermostat gradually and wait at least 12 hours before checking again and possibly changing it.

Note: After loading the appliance with fresh food or after opening the door repeatedly (or leaving it open for a prolonged period), it is normal if the word “OK” does not appear in the temperature indicator; wait at least 12 hours before readjusting the thermostat.

If the evaporator in the refrigerator compartment (back wall of the appliance) becomes abnormally frost-covered (appliance overloaded, high room temperature, high thermostat setting, frequent door openings), gradually turn the thermostat knob back to a lower position until the compressor stops running periodically again.

Storing food in the refrigerator
In a refrigerator, the temperature is not uniform (with the exception of ventilated or stirred cold appliances), which is why there are appropriate areas for each type of food.

Your food will keep better if you place it in the temperature zone that is best suited to the food type in question. Refer to the diagram below forstoring food
