DESCRIPTION

Our laser thermometer gun has an emissivity range of 0.1 to 1.0, allowing for accurate readings on a variety of surfaces and conditions. The reader should be 14″ away from the object for the best results. Use this handy laser temperature gun at home or in the workplace. Check the temperature of your oven or griddle, finish HVAC projects, measure the temperature of any vehicle’s engine, and much more. Simply scan the surface of your object, press the trigger of the IR thermometer gun, and release to obtain live temperature readings ranging from -58F to 1112F (-50o C to 600o C).
Each infrared temperature gun has a large, backlit LCD screen for easy temperature reading in the dark. And, with two AAA batteries included, you can easily power up the thermal gun. This temp gun thermometer is NOT intended for use with humans or internal body temperatures. It is intended for home repairs, cooking, HVAC and automotive use, and other do-it-yourself projects.

  2. Press the “ems” button and select the emissivity level
  3. Hold the infrared target over the desired object for an accurate read

MONITOR GLASS TEMPERATURES

  1. Place opaque material on glass and let it sit to reach the glass temperature

FAQs

How do I use this infrared thermometer?****

Point the infrared thermometer at the object you want to measure and pull the trigger. The temperature will be displayed on the screen.

What is the emissivity of this infrared thermometer?****

It has an emissivity of 0.1 to 1.0, which means it can be used on a variety of surfaces.

Does this infrared thermometer come with batteries?****

Yes, two AAA batteries are included with each laser gun thermometer.

How do I change the batteries in my infrared thermometer?****

You can change the batteries by unscrewing the battery compartment cover on the back of your infrared thermometer and replacing them with two new AAA batteries.

This will be used for fishing. Will it reliably read the temperature of flowing surface water? What are the “emisivity” settings for salt/fresh water?****

Yes, that will work. It comes with a card that lists the emissivity settings.
Emissions of water (liquid) .93
Emissions of water (snow) .83-.90

Is there an accompanying app?****

We do not currently have an app for it.

What would the grill grates setting be? similar to hot food?****

Yes, they would be similar to hot food.

I bought the lp300 a while ago, and I’m getting more u6.6 errors. What exactly is it, and what can I do about it?****

Because your purchase is covered by warranty, I can send you a replacement.

What distinguishes this from IR thermometers that have both an object mode and a human mode? Is there anything special?****

Surface temperatures can only be read by infrared thermometers, not internal temperatures. As a result, an infrared thermometer cannot read human temperatures. If you take your temperature on your skin, it will read your outer skin temperatures rather than your body temperature.

How should I measure the emissivity of my heat press platen?****

The emissivity of an aluminum heat press platen is 0.30. More information can be found in the emissivity table. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do. Take precautions!

I noticed that other models measured distances ranging from 1′ to 1.5′. What is the ideal distance for this?****

I believe the distance is the same.

So, are you certain this is sold by Amazon?****

Amazon sells it; I purchased mine from them several times.

Will this indicate the temperature of frying oil?****

Yes, you can use this to determine the temperature of frying oil.

Can I use this to make soap?****

Because it only measures the surface temperature, I would not use it to make soap.
