To shift to high gear using the shift knob, follow these steps:

High gear shifting instruction for the shift knob

There are two switches on the gear lever, with the high and low range switches in front and the half range switch on the left. Generally, the lower range is below 3rd gear, and the half-range switch between 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears only needs to be moved by the blue half-range switch. The high and low range switches are kept in the low range, while the upper range switch above 4th gear is generally in the high range, At this point, the switching between gears 4, 5, 6, and 7 only requires turning the blue half gear switch. However, the high and low gear switches should be in the high gear range, because when operating the high and low gear switches, it is necessary to ensure that the half gear switch is closed. When developing this high and low gear switching simulator, we considered the simulation effect that is close to reality, so we added a mutual restraint function between the high and low gear switches and the half gear switches, This is a transmission protection function to prevent misoperation, similar to the manual transmission in small cars that requires the clutch to be pressed to shift gears. For example, when operating the half-gear switch, shifting between high and low half-gears in the same gear only requires the half-gear switch to be turned and the clutch to be pressed. Shifting between high and low half gears in different gears, such as shifting from 4th gear high to 5th gear low, is done by reversing the half gear switch, and pressing the clutch to shift from 4th gear to 5th gear. The operation of the high and low range switches generally requires the operation of the high and low range switches when shifting between gears 3 and 4. For example, when shifting from gear 3 to gear 4, the order of operation is to first turn back the half-range switch, lift the high and low range switch upwards, and then press the clutch to shift. On the contrary, if you want to downshift from 4th gear to 3rd gear, you need to first move the high and low range switch down to the low range, then move the blue half range switch, and then press the clutch to shift.
