WARNINGS:

  • Please read and understand this entire manual before using this product.
  • Before each use, verify tester operation by testing on a known live and correctly wired receptacle and circuit.
  • DO NOT use if the tester appears damaged in any way.
  • The tester is intended for indoor use only.
  • The GFCT TEST MODE is designed for use with 102-132V AC electrical systems. DO NOT connect to higher voltage electrical supplies.
  • This tester only detects common wiring problems. Always consult a qualified electrician to resolve winng problems.

OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Receptacle Wiring Test

  • Plug the tester into the outlet.
  • The three LED’s will indicate circuit condition. The diagram lists all of the conditions that the tester can detect, and then pull out the tester.
  • When the wrong connection detected, please find a professional electrician to repair the wiring.

WARNINGS:

  • Test time is not more than 5 minutes.
  • When using, please be careful not to touch the GFCI button, so as not to trigger the leakage protection switch, causing unnecessary losses. LIVE/GND REVERSE, missing GND: It is the reverse connection between the live line and ground line, and the ground line is unconnected
  • This tester cannot distinguish between neutral line and ground wire reverse

Voltage test (with LCD)
Insert the tester into a standard three-hole power outlet. Read the socket voltage value on the LCD display, the unit is V. If the test voltage is higher than 250V, the OL will be displayed.

WARNINGS

  • If the tester led indicates that the outlet is LIVE/GRD REVERSE MISSING GRD, LCD displays inaccurate votage values. However, at this time, the socket is still live, do not touch and let a professional electrician solve the wiring problems.
  • Test time is not more than 5 minutes.
  • When using, please be careful not to touch the GFCI button, so as not to trigger the leakage protection switch, causing unnecessary losses.
  • Do not test voltages above 250V.

Receptacle GFCI Test

  • Before using the tester, press the TEST button on the installed GFCI receptacle, the GFCI should trip. If it does not trip, do not use the circuit and call a qualified electrician. f it does trip, press the RESET button on the receptacle.
  • Plug the tester into the outlet. Verify that the wiring is correct as described above.
  • Press and hold the test button les than 3 seconds, the indicator LED’s onthe tester will shut off when the GFCI trips, and then GFCI instructs LED to shine under and off.
  • If the circuit does not trip, either the GFCI is operable but the wiring is incorrect, or the wiring is correct and the GFCl is inoperable.

WARNINGS:

  • If the tester indicates that the outlet is not wired correctly, DO NOT attempt to test the GFCl device
  • When testing GFCI is installed in 2-wire systems (no ground wire available). the tester may give a false indication that the GFCI is not functioning properly. If this occurs recheck the operation of GFCI using the test and reset buttons, the GFCI button test function will demonstrate proper operation.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE

  • Keep the tester dry. If it gets wet, wipe it off.

  • Keep the tester clean. Wipe the dirt with a soft cloth dampened with
    water. Do not use chemicals, cleaning solvernts, or detergents.

  • Handle the tester gently and carefully. Dropping it can damage the electronic parts or the case.

  • Use and store the tester in normal temperatures. Temperature extremes can shorten the life of the electronic parts and distort or melt plastic parts.
