Replacing the Air Pump Kit
To replace the air pump on the CSM & MCX instrument: These instructions are intended solely to assist in the installation of a replacement air pump for the CSM or MCX instrument. Please refer to the Owner’s Manual for additional instructions on installation, operation and maintenance.

Disconnect the vent tube from the side of the cabinet.

Disconnect the ribbon cable from the optical board.

Loosen the press to connect fitting and disconnect the drain tubing at the bottom of the enclosure.

Loosen the optical block assembly bracket screws. This is the bracket that holds the optical block assembly to the back panel.

Lift optical block assembly up and off of bracket screws.

Pull optical block assembly forward to access the air pump. The air pump is located on the back right hand side.

Disconnect the black and pink air pump wiring (connection located in the electrical panel, wires routed in corrugated sleeving).

Unscrew black fitting from air pump.

Unscrew 2 screws from underneath air pump bracket and remove the air pump.

Insert new air pump. Be sure the arrow on the new air pump is facing the correct direction.

Install 2 screws from underneath air pump bracket.

Screw in black fitting into air pump outlet.

Reconnect the black and pink air pump wiring (connection located in the electrical panel).

Slide the optical assembly with new air pump back to original position.

Place optical block assembly onto bracket screws located on the back panel of the enclosure.

Tighten the optical block assembly bracket screws.

Reconnect the drain tubing, ribbon cable and vent tube.
NOTICE
To prevent damage to the wiring, ensure wiring is routed behind bracket and not pinched between the bracket and the back panel of the enclosure.
