If anything is missing, please contact the retailer from which the product was purchased.

INSTRUCTION

  1. Carefully pull house wires down out of the junction box so house wires are easily accessed to connect fixture wires.

  2. If the screw collar loop (W) is already attached to the mounting bracket (A), proceed to Step 3. To assemble screw collar loop (W) to mounting bracket (A): Hold mounting bracket (A) so the head of the ground screw is pointing down towards the floor. Hold threaded pipe so two hex nuts already attached to threaded pipe (E) are pointing down towards the floor. From the side of the mounting bracket with the ground screw head, screw the short end of the threaded pipe (E) into the hole in the center of the mounting bracket (A) until he nut on the threaded pipe (E) touches the mounting bracket. Thread hex nut (V) onto the end of the threaded pipe (E). Tighten hex nut (V) to secure threaded pipe (E) to mounting bracket (A). Thread screw collar loop (W) onto the end of threaded pipe pointing down towards the floor. Tighten the screw collar loop up against the hex nut on the threaded pipe (E).

  3. Place mounting bracket (A) up against the junction box. Screw collar loop (E) should be pointing down towards the floor. Align each slot in mounting bracket (A) with each hole in the junction box.

  4. Thread one junction box screw (B) into each slot in the mounting bracket (A) and into holes in the junction box. Tighten junction box screws (B) to secure mounting bracket (A) to the junction box.
CAUTION: Make sure house wires are still easily accessible. DO NOT pinch wires between the mounting bracket and ceiling.elk-HOME-18133-1-Mini-

  5. Connect one locking link (G) to loop on top of the fixture body (O).

  6. Determine the desired hanging height of the fixture. Cut chain (H) to length to achieve the desired height.

  7. Slip the chain link at end of the chain (H) onto the locking link (G) on loop (T).

  8. Weave fixture wires through chain links, skipping every other chain link.

  9. Slip threaded ring (F) down over the end of chain (H).

  10. Position canopy (D) so the outside of the canopy is pointing down towards the fixture. Slip hole in the canopy (D) over the end of the chain (H).elk-HOME-18133-1-Mini-Pendant-Ceiling-Light-FIG-2

  11. Strip 3/4” of insulation from the ends of fixture wires.

  12. Carefully push fixture wires up through hole in the screw collar loop (W) attached to the mounting bracket (A) and out the end of the threaded pipe inside the junction box. Carefully pull fixture wires so they are easily accessible to connect to house wires.

  13. To aid in connecting fixture wires to house wires, temporarily connect the chain link at end of the chain (H) to the screw collar loop (W).

  14. Slightly loosen the ground screw on the mounting bracket (A). Do not completely remove the ground screw. Wrap house ground wire (copper) around the ground screw, leaving enough ground wire to attach to the fixture ground wire. Twist the end of the fixture ground wire and the end of the house ground wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference the chart below for correct wire connections.

  15. Twist the end of the house lead wire (black) and the end of the fixture lead wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Twist the end of the house neutral wire (white) and the end of the fixture neutral wire together. Twist wire nut (C) onto the ends of the wires. Completely tighten wire nut (C). Reference chart to the right for correct wire connections.

  16. Wrap electrical tape (not included) around wire nuts (C) and wires. Ensure wires are securely fastened into wire nuts.

  17. Carefully push all wires and wire nuts into the junction box.

*When parallel wire (SPT 1 & SPT 2) is used: The lead wire is round in shape or smooth.

The neutral wire is square in shape or ridged.

  1. Remove the last chain link from the screw collar loop (W).
  2. Raise canopy (D) up to the ceiling. Pass hole in the canopy (D) over screw collar loop (W). Position canopy (D) up against the ceiling.
  3. Raise threaded ring (F) up to canopy (D). Screw-threaded ring (F) onto screw collar loop (W). Tighten the threaded ring (F) to secure the fixture to the ceiling.
  4. Attach the chain link at end of the chain (H) to loop on the screw collar loop (W).
  5. Screw recommended bulb (E26 Edison bulb type, not included) into the socket. Verify the correct bulb wattage marked on the socket of the fixture.elk-HOME-18133-1-Mini-Pendant-Ceiling-Light-FIG-5
