Important Safety Instructions
| 1. Do not expose this apparatus to rain, moisture, dripping or splashing
and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the
apparatus.

another confined space. Ensure the unit is well ventilated.

| 4. Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers,

Introduction
OVERVIEW
The HT-Satellite-BT is a portable USB and wireless Bluetooth speakerphone. It
allows everyone to hear the sound in a small meeting room during conference
calls and is compatible with all major UC platforms including Microsoft Teams,
WebEx by Cisco, Google Meet, and Zoom. The compact sleek design allows for use
at home, in the office, and in the hotel during travel. With a 360-degree 4x
Mic array that picks up sound from any angle, built-in echo cancellation,
active background noise reduction and speech enhancement, HT-Satellite-BT
offers excellent meeting performance.

1 | Power | Powers the device on/off. |
• Power ON: When the HT-Satellite-BT is off, press and hold the Power button
for around 1~2 seconds. During power up, all LEDs will blink white and then
turn off, and the Power LED will remain white.
• Note: When connected to a laptop with USB the HT-Satellite-BT will power on
automatically.
• Power OFF: To turn off the HT-Satellite-BT, hold the Power button for around
3 seconds. All LEDs will blink white and then will turn off.
• Note: When powered off, the HT-Satellite-BT will remain in charging mode if
it is connected to a laptop with USB.

| | Note: When both USB and Bluetooth are disconnected for 1 hour, the
HTSatellite-BT will automatically power off.
2| Bluetooth| Press to enable/disable the Bluetooth function:
•Bluetooth OFF: By default, the Bluetooth function is disabled, and the LED is
turned off.
•Bluetooth ON: When the Bluetooth function is enabled, the LED will light
white
if no devices are connected and will light blue when a device is connected.
•Pairing: To pair a device, hold the Bluetooth button for 3 SeCOndS to set the
HT-Satellite-8T into pairing mode. When in pairing mode, the LED light will
blink blue, and the HT-Satellite-BT can then be discovered by other Bluetooth
enabled devices. When a device connects the LED light will be solid blue.
Note: When a device is connected with Bluetooth to the HT-Satellite-BT, the
volume of the speakerphone will change to 50%.
Note: The HT-Satellite-BT gives priority to the first connected device. After
that device is disconnected, the next device can then connect to the HT-
Satellite-BT.
3| Battery/Charge| •Charging: To charge, connect the HT-satellite-BT using the
provided Ma cable.
•Blinking red LED: the HT-Satellite-EIT is charging.
•Solid green LED: the HT-Satellite-BT is fully charged.
•Show Battery Level: To view the battery level, press the battery button. When
pressed, all LEDs will turn green if fully charged, or will light up green
according to the level, counting down counterclockwise, starting with the
Bluetooth LED.
Note: When the HT-Satellite-BT has less than 10% battery life, the LED of the
battery will blink red.
4| Volume –| •Press butt= the volume decreases one step at a time.
•Hold button: the volume decreases continuously.
The level of the audio is shown with the LEDs, increasing clockwise and
decreasing counterclockwise.
S| Volume +| •Press button: the volume increases one step at a time.
•Hold button: the volume increases continuously.
•The level of the audio is shown with the LEDs, increasing clockwise and
decreasing counterclockwise.
6| Answer Call| •USB Mode: this button is not available in USB mode.
•Bluetooth Mode: when a device is connected and a call Is Incoming, press the
green Answer Call button to answer the call.
7| End Call| •USB Mode: this button is not available in USB mode.
•Bluetooth Mode: when a device is connected, press the red End Call button to
end the call.
B| Mute/Unmute| Press to mute/unmute the mica. When muted all LEDs turn red.
9| Speaker| The location of the loudspeaker.
10| Mic| 4 x Omnidirectional mics array for picking up sound. The LEDs turn
blue when picking up audio through the respective microphone.
11| USB TypeC Port| Connect to HT-satellite-Ea to a laptop for use with USB
Mode and for charging.
Application
APPLICATION 1: USB
- Connect the included USB Type-C to Type-A cable to from the HT-Satellite-BT (Type-C) to the laptop (Type-A).
- When the HT-Satellite-BT is connected, the speaker and microphone can be detected by the system, using the following names:
- Speaker Name: HT-Satellite-BT
- Microphone Name: HT-Satellite-BT
APPLICATION 2: BLUETOOTH

To connect a new device, hold the Bluetooth button for 3 seconds to put the HT-Satellite-BT into pairing mode.

When in pairing mode, the LED light will blink blue, and the HT-Satellite-BT can then be discovered by other Bluetooth enabled devices.
• Device name: HT-Satellite-BT -
When a device connects to the HT-Satellite-BT, the LED light will be solid blue.
Note: The HT-Satellite-BT gives priority to the first connected device.
After that device is disconnected, the next device can then connect to the HT-
Satellite-BT.
Firmware Update
- Install the application: XUpgradeTool_000-1.0.4-Setup.exe
- Use the USB cable to connect the HT-Satellite-BT to the PC
- Power on the HT-Satellite-BT and press the following buttons in the order shown to put the HT-Satellite-BT into factory mode:
- The LED will quickly flash.
- Run the application. It will automatically connect to the HT-Satellite-BT. (The application may be hidden behind other applications – make full screen to keep in view.)
- Once connected, press the “Browse” button to select the “BD_USP_G008_MCU V1.5.3.bin”, and then press the “Upgrade” button.
- After the upgrade is finished, press the Power button to manually restore the HT-Satellite-BT in normal use mode.
- If you would like to check the version of the HT-Satellite-BT, press the button combination found in Step 3 to put the HT-Satellite-BT into factory mode and the application will show it as connected and will display the firmware version. (Perform Step 7 after checking the firmware to put it back into normal use mode.)
Troubleshooting
-
During a soft codec call (i.e. GoToMeeting, Meet, Teams, Zoom etc.) with the laptop connected to the HT-ODYSSEY the far end cannot hear the local room participants talk.
a. Verify the mic of the HT-Satellite-BT is not in Mute mode (in Mute mode all LEDs light up red).
b. Verify the microphone selected in the soft codec is the HT-Satellite-BT
c. Verify the soft codec microphone is not muted -
A device that has been paired with Bluetooth to the HT-Satellite-BT can no longer connect.
a. Verify no other device is currently connected with Bluetooth (the first device connected will maintain connection until the user manually disconnects their device; once disconnected the next device can then connect.) -
When the PC is connected to the Type-C port on the HT-Satellite-BT there is no audio playing through the speaker.
a. Verify the laptop’s sound output has the HT-Satellite-BT selected as the speaker output.
