Range Extender Zi is intended for indoor use in dry locations only. Do not use
in damp, moist, and I or wet locations.
Contains small parts; keep away from children.
Power Range Extender Zi
Plug in Range Extender Zi to an outlet, the LED will fade its LED in and out
indefinitely while it is not connected to your hub.
Connecting Range Extender Zi to hub.
The following will step you through installing Range Extender Zi and
connecting it to your ZigBee network. Determine the installation location of
your Rang Extender Zi. Generally this will be between your Zigbee hub and the
Zigbee device experiencing poor connectivity.
- A. Aeotec Smart Home Hub or SmartThings:
- a. From SmartThings dashboard, tap+
- b. Tap Device.
- C. Find and select Aeotec.
- d. Tap Repeater l extender.
- e. Tap Aeotec Range Extender Zi.
- f. Tap Start, then follow the remaining instructions to pair Range Extender Zi.
- g. When prompted by your hub, tap the Action Button on Range Extender Zi, the LED will flash rapidly while it attempts to connect.
- B. Home Assistant:
- a. From Home Assistant dashboard, select Configurations.
- b. Select Integrations.
- C. Under Zigbee, select Configure.
- d. Select+.
- e. When prompted by your hub, tap the Action Button on Range Extender Zi, the LED will flash rapidly while it attempts to connect.
- C. Hubitat:
- a. Select Devices.
- b. Select Discover Devices. Select Zigbee.
- d. Select Start Zigbee Pairing
- e. When prompted by your hub, tap the Action Button on Range Extender Zi, the LED will flash rapidly while it attempts to connect.
- D. For most other hubs;
- a. Set your Zigbee hub to connect Zigbee devices.
- b. Tap the Action Button on Range Extender Zi.
The LED will flash rapidly. Connection LED states. If the steps were followed correctly, the LED will change from a rapid flash to one of these LED states depending on success or failure.
- Success: LED will become solid.
- Fail: LED will return to fading in and out.
Toggle LED on l off
After a successful connection to your Zigbee network, you can turn the LED
state on l off manually. To do this:
Double tap the Action Button. Ihe LED till toggle between an on or off state
while it is connected.

Not connecting? Try these steps;
- Press and hold the Action Button for 10+ seconds.
- When factory reset and ready to pair, the LED should fade in and out.
- Try connecting Range Extender Zi again. Consider a closer location temporarily for connecting it, then move it into its installation location.
