Introduction

bringing this device into service. If the device was damaged in transit, do
not install or use it and contact your dealer.
Safety Instructions
Keep the device away from children and unauthorized users.
Indoor use only
Keep the device away from rain, moisture, splashing, and dripping liquids,
extreme heat, and dust. Never put objects filled with liquid on top of or
close to the device. Be very careful during the installation: touching live
wires can cause life-threatening electroshocks. The device should only be
installed and serviced by a qualified person.
General Guidelines
Refer to the Velleman® Service and Quality Warranty on the last pages of this manual.
- Protect this device from shocks and abuse. Avoid brute force when operating the device.
- Contact a local dealer for spare parts.
- This mixer should only be used indoors with the included PSU or with a PSU of the same rating.
- Make sure that the available voltage does not exceed the voltage stated in the specifications of this manual and printed on the device.
- Do not crimp the power cord and protect it against damage. Refer to an authorized dealer for replacement.
- Disconnect the device from the mains to clean or when not in use. Handle the power cord by the plug or adaptor only.
- Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to changes in temperature. Allowing the device to stabilize to room temperature before switching it on avoids damage.
- Familiarise yourself with the functions of the device before actually using it.
- All modifications of the device are forbidden for safety reasons.
- Only use the device for its intended purpose. Using the device in an unauthorized way will void the warranty.
- Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems.
- Please be sure to leave a space to allow for heat radiation.
- The distance between the rear panel and other objects must be > 5 cm. The distance between sides and other objects must be > 3 cm.
- Make sure the ventilation holes with objects are free and clean at all times.

FRONT PANEL Mic Bal
Balance adjustment between Mic 1 and Mic 2.
Mic Level
Volume adjustment of the microphone signal. Channel 1 Fader for channel 1.
Input Selector
Phono/line selection switch for channel 1. The phono setting is intended for
turntables; the line set is for all other signal sources, e.g. a CD player.
- Never connect line-level equipment to the highly sensitive phono input.
- The output levels of phono-level equipment are in the mV range; the output levels of line-level equipment are in the V range.
- Do not turn up the volume when no turntable is connected to the phono input. Doing so will cause a hum or noise.
- The PFL signal is a pre-fader headphones signal enabling you to listen to a signal source without affecting the main signal.
- Channel 2 Fader for channel 2.
- Input Selector Phono/line selection switch for channel 2. See [4].
- Channel USB Output adjustment for the equipment connected to the USB input.
- Output Selector Mono/stereo selection switch.
- Output Meter VU meter indicates the output of the left and right master signals.
- PowerPower switch.
- LED The power LED turns on when the mixer is switched on.
- USB Input port for an MP3 player.
- Selection button for selecting the next track on the MP3 player.
- Stop the button for stopping the track on the MP3 player.
- Play/pause button for starting/pausing/resuming the track on the MP3 player.
- Selection button for selecting the previous track on the MP3 player.
- Volume adjustment of the headphones signal.
- Channel 1 ~ Channel 2
- Crossfader for fading between channels 1 and 2.
- Talkover The microphone talk-over switch allowing you to lower the level of the sound source while you are talking into the microphone.
REAR PANEL
With the exception of the headphones, all of the audio connections are located
at the rear of the mixer.

AC 12V Power supply input.

Master Output Left and right output connections to an amplifier. In order to avoid power-up thumps, which can damage your speakers, please power up your amplifier last.

There should be no signal present when turning on an amplifier. In addition, we suggest that you set all volume adjustment knobs to zero before powering up the system. Following these precautions will save you from unpleasant and potentially dangerous surprises.

Channel 2 Left and right phono/line input connections for channel 2.

Channel 1 Left and right phono/line input connections for channel 1.

Mic Balanced, ¼” input connections for microphones 1 and 2. We strongly recommend the use of high-grade cables and connectors for the transmission of audio signals. Inferior quality materials cannot be acceptable audio quality.

GND Grounding connection for the connected turntable.
PSU 12 VAC power adaptor. Only use the included PSU. When connecting the power cord, please make sure the power of the unit is off. Connect the cord to the rear of the mixer and then connect it to the main outlet. -
Headphones input connection.
Cleaning and Maintenance
- All screws should be tightened and free of corrosion.
- The housing, visible parts, mounting supports, and the installation location (e.g. ceiling, suspension, trussing) should not be deformed, modified or tampered with e.g. do not drill extra holes in mounting supports, do not change the location of the connections,
- Moving mechanic parts must not show any signs of wear and tear.
- The electric power supply cables must not show any damage. Have a qualified technician maintain the device.
- Disconnect the device from the mains prior to maintenance activities.
- Wipe the device regularly with a moist, lint-free cloth. Do not use alcohol or solvents.
- There are no user-serviceable parts.
- Contact your dealer for spare parts if necessary.

Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
