Instructions
This guide presents the basic steps to set up and operate this device.

Connections
- Wire the grounding terminal to an earth grounding object to protect equipment from external electrical surges.
- Connect Ethernet cable (min. Cat5e) from a PSE port on a PoE source (up to 60 W input; IEEE 802.3bt/at/af-compliant) to the PoE IN port on the splitter. The PWR LED lights to indicate a powered connection to PSE.
- Connect Ethernet cable (min. Cat5e) from the DATA port on the splitter to an RJ45 port on a network device.
- Connect an appropriate cable from one of the DC OUT ports (either the terminal block or the power jack; output up to 12 V / 4.25 A / 51 W) on the splitter to the network device or other device you wish to power.
Terminal Block Installation
Note: Ensure all power is off/disconnected before beginning! The wire
gauge for the terminal block should be in the range between 12 – 24 AWG.
4-1 Loosen appropriate screws. Insert bare power-supply wires into appropriate
terminal slots (positive wire into positive slot; negative wire into negative
slot, etc.).
4-2 Tighten appropriate screws to secure wires.
4-3 Install block into the device.
Placement
Desktop Installation
Prior to use, place/position the device:
- on a level surface that can support its weight and has at least 25 mm (approx. 1”) of clearance for ventilation;
- away from sources of electrical noise: radios, transmitters, broadband amplifiers;
- within 100 m (approx. 328’) of network devices it’s to be connected to.
DIN-Rail Installation
- Angle spring of mounting clip over top lip of DIN rail.
- Push device down till clip clicks onto rail.
- Ensure installation is stable.
