Setting the Correct Date and Time

Notes:

  • The digits will change faster if the ▲ or ▼button is held. The day of the week is adjusted automatically.
  • Press the ALM ON/OFF button to leave the setting modes for the alarm or the clock/calendar.
  • The device returns to the normal display mode if no buttons are pressed for at least 30 seconds.
  • Press the ALM ON/OFF button in the normal display mode or the alarm setting mode to arm the alarm → to arm the alarm and the snooze function → to disarm the alarm and the snooze function → to arm the alarm → etc.

Hold the TIME SET button for two seconds until the digits for the year start to flash. Enter the year with ▲ or ▼ and confirm the year with TIME SET. The digits for the month start to flash. Set the month with UP or DOWN and confirm with TIME SET. The digits for the date start to flash. Set the date with ▲ or ▼ and confirm with TIME SET. The digits for the hours start to flash. Enter the hours with ▲ or ▼ and confirm with TIME SET. The digits for the minutes start to flash. Enter the minutes with ▲ or ▼ and confirm with TIME SET. The device returns to the normal display mode.

Setting the Alarm

Press the ALM SET button once to display the current alarm time for ± 30 seconds. Hold ALM SET for two seconds when you press it for the second time. This activates the alarm-setting mode. The digits for the month start to flash. Enter the month with ▲ or ▼ and confirm with ALM SET. The digits for the date start to flash. Adjust the date with UP or DOWN and confirm with ALM SET. The digits for the hours start to flash. Enter the hours with UP or DOWN and confirm with ALM SET. The digits for the minutes start to flash. Enter the minutes with UP or DOWN and confirm with ALM SET. The device returns to the normal alarm mode display. Press TIME SET to return to the normal display mode.

Press the ALM ON/OFF button. The symbol should now appear on the LCD to indicate that the alarm is armed. The alarm will sound for 1 minute at the programmed time, unless you press ALM ON/OFF or TIME SET to deactivate the alarm.

Press the ALM ON/OFF button twice to display both the symbol and the symbol. This indicates that the snooze function is also activated (activation delay is ± 5 minutes). Put the digits for the month and the date in the “-” position to use the alarm as a daily alarm.

The alarm will sound for 1 minute at the programmed time. Press the SNZ LIGHT button while the alarm is sounding to arm the snooze function or press ALM ON/OFF or TIME SET to deactivate the alarm and the snooze function (for 24 hours if the alarm is used as a daily alarm).

Temperature Readout

Press the °C/°F button when the device is in the normal display mode to toggle between °C and °F for the temperature readout.

Selecting 12hr- or 24hr-Mode
Press the “12/24” button when the device is in the normal display mode to toggle between 12hr- and 24hr-mode for the time display.

Maintenance and Safety Instructions

  • Protect the device against moisture and dust.
  • Keep the device away from magnetic objects.
  • Every electromagnetic field of min. 8kV will cause the device to malfunction and will force you to reinstall the batteries.
  • Remove the batteries immediately when they’re exhausted and when the device is not to be used for a prolonged period.
  • Respect your local and national laws when disposing of the exhausted batteries.
  • Use a soft cloth moistened with mild detergent to clean the device.
  • Do not use abrasives or solvents on the device.
  • Do not drop the device on a hard surface.

General Warranty Conditions Concerning Consumer Products (for EU):

  • All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
  • Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion. You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
  • Not covered by warranty:
    • all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity…), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;
    • frequently replaced consumable goods, parts or accessories such as batteries, lamps, rubber parts, drive belts… (unlimited list);
    • flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc. …;
    • flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer’s instructions;
    • damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);
    • damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;
    • all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.
  • Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
  • Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
  • Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
  • The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
