Thank you for choosing an Amica product. For years we have delivered high- quality appliances so that household chores become a real pleasure. Before being packaged and leaving the manufacturer, this appliance was thoroughly checked with regard to safety and functionality. We also endeavor to make sure that modern technology in Amica products always goes hand in hand with a unique design.

Before using the appliance, please carefully read these Operating Instructions Follow these instructions to avoid improper use and ensure the long and reliable operation of the appliance. Learn the principles of safe use to avoid accidents. Store these operating instructions in a safe place to use them for reference whenever needed. These Operating Instructions contain all the necessary information that will make the use of your Amica appliance simple and fun. We also encourage you to find out more about other Amica appliances.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Carefully read the instructions below before using the appliance.
  • Turn off the appliance before you install or take off accessories.
  • Keep fingers away from moving parts and the accessory mounting opening.
  • Use the appliance at home for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer declines any responsibility if the appliance is used improperly or contrary to these operating instructions.
  • Never leave the appliance unattended when it is turned on, especially when there are small children or disabled people in the vicinity.
  • Check that the rated voltage of the appliance matches that of the electrical system. Any damage due to an incorrect con-nection is not covered by warranty.
  • Remove the plug from the socket after use and before cleaning.
  • Do not use a damaged appliance or accessories. Contact an authorised service center for repairs.
  • Do not immerse the appliance, or power cord, or plug in water or any other liquid.
  • Do not let the power cord hang within the reach of children. The power cord must not be exposed to heat from hot parts of the appliance, other heat sources, or sharp edges.
  • Do not use the appliance if the power cord or plug is damaged. To avoid the risk, have them replaced at an authorised service center.
  • Do not put any meta accessories in the microwave oven.
  • Before changing accessories turn off the appliance and unplug it from the power supply.
  • Do not touch the whisk, mixer, or dough hook while the appliance is operating.
  • Do not use more than one accessory at the same time.
  • This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with physical, mental, or sensory handicaps, or by persons inexperienced or unfamiliar with the appliance, unless under supervision or in accordance with the instructions as communicated to them by persons responsible for their safety. Children shall not play with the appliance.
  • Children shall not play with the appliance. This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older or by persons with physical, mental, or sensory handicaps, or by those who are inexperienced or unfamiliar with the appliance, provided they are supervised or have been instructed how to safely use the appliance and are familiar with risks associated with the use of the appliance. Ensure that children do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance should not be performed by children unless they are 8 years or older and are supervised by a competent person.
  • Children are not allowed to operate this appliance. Keep the appliance and the power cord out of the reach of children.
  • Improper use may cause injury. Be careful with the appli-ance.
  • Be careful when handling sharp cutting knives, emptying the bowl, and cleaning.
  • Warning: Make sure the food processor is turned off before removing it from the stand.
  • Always unplug the appliance from the power supply when leaving it unattended and before installing or removing accessories and before cleaning.
  • After each use, allow the appliance to cool down to room temperature.
  • Never use the appliance continuously for more than 7 minutes at rated power.
  • Be careful when pouring hot liquid into the food processor as it may scald you as a result of evaporation.
  • The appliance is intended for use at home and similar places.

WARRANTY AND AFTER-SALES SERVICE

Warranty
Warranty service as stated on the warranty card. The manufacturer shall not be held liable for any damage caused by improper use of the product.

UNPACKING

During transportation, protective packaging was used to protect the appliance against any damage. Af­ter unpacking, please dispose of all elements of the packaging in a way that will not cause damage to the environ­ment.

All materials used for packaging the appliance are environmentally friendly; they are 100% recyclable and are marked with the appropriate symbol.

Important!
Packaging materials (bags, polyethyl­ene, polystyrene, etc.) should be kept away from children during unpacking.

DISPOSAL OF OLD APPLIANCE

In accordance with European Directive 2012/19/EU and local legislation re­garding used electrical and electronic goods, this appliance is marked with the symbol of the crossed­out waste container. This marking indicates that the appliance must not be disposed of together with other household waste after it has been used.

The user is obliged to hand it over to the waste collec­tion center collecting used electrical and electron­ic goods. The collectors, including local collection points, shops, and local authority departments pro­vide recycling schemes. Proper handling of used electrical and electronic goods helps avoid environmental and health haz­ards resulting from the presence of dangerous com­ponents and the inappropriate storage and process­ing of such goods.

    Using the spiralizer: the overlay “19” is removed from the guides, the appropriate blade is inserted into it, reattached to the guides and a hard vegetable (eg a cucumber) is pressed down, previously placing a plate under the overlay.

  1. Push the lever (2) to the side to release the multifunction head (20) and raise it to a higher position.
  2. Place the bowl (5) in the appliance, turn it until it locks, and place the ingredients in the bowl.
  3. Place the splash cover on the mixer head so that the filler hole is accessible at the front of the appli-ance.
  4. Install the desired accessory (6, 7, 8) in the socket by pushing the accessory shaft all the way and turning it a quarter turn to lock it in place.
  5. Lock the multifunction head in a horizontal position and push the lever to the side (2), you should hear a click.
  6. When preparing your dish, you can add ingredients through the opening in the splash cover.
  7. To stop the appliance, turn the knob (1) back to position 0.

Before first use, wash all accessories with water and detergent, rinse and dry.

B Meat grinder

Install and insert accessories:

  1. Grasp the meat grinder by the feeder with the opening facing up.
  2. Insert the auger (shaft connector first in) into the body of the meat grinder. Fit the cutter blade onto the shaft with the blades facing the grinding plate.
  3. Place the grinder plate of your choice on the blades, making sure that the two protrusions fit into the two notches in the body.
  4. Tighten the screw-on ring on the body.
  5. Make sure that there is no play on the shaft and it does not rotate.
  6. Lock the multifunction head in a horizontal position (it should click into place).
  7. Insert the assembled meat grinder into the socket.
  8. Place the feeder tray on the feeder tube.

Warning:

  1. In order to release the meat grinder attachment, press the release button.
  2. Use the pusher to force the pieces of the product into the feeder tube. Never push the product with your fingers or any cutlery.
  3. After use, always set the switch to the “0” position.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. Unplug the appliance from power.
  2. Never immerse the appliance in water or place it under running water. Wipe with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth.
  3. To facilitate cleaning, rinse the accessories immediately after use. Remove the accessories from the appliance. Handle accessories with care as some have sharp cutting edges.
  4. Wash, rinse, and wipe the accessories. The accessories are dishwasher safe, with the exception of the metal parts of the meat grinder attachment, such as fine and coarse grinder plates, auger, cutting blade, and screw-on ring. Do not wash the spiralizer in the dishwasher.
  5. Lubricate the grinder plates and the blades. Rub the accessories with cooking oil after each use.
  6. If the accessories discolour due to contact with food (such as carrots, oranges, etc.), gently wipe them with a kitchen towel dipped in cooking oil, then clean them as usual.
