Your appliance is exceptionally easy to use and extremely efficient. Before being packaged and leaving the manufacturer, the appliance was thoroughly checked with regard to safety and functionality. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

  • Important! To minimize the risk of fire, electric shock, or injury:
  • Carefully read this instruction before using the appliance.

  • When pulling out the plug from the wall outlet, never pull by the cord, only the plug, holding the socket with your other hand.

  • Do not attempt to remove any parts of the housing.
  • To prevent damage to the power cord, do not place it over sharp edges or close to hot surfaces.
  • Do not expose the appliance to rain or humidity, and do not use it outdoors. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
  • If the power cord or plug is damaged, it should be replaced by a professional repair shop in order to avoid hazards.
  • Never place the appliance on hot surfaces.
  • Using attachments that were not supplied with the product may cause damage to the appliance.
  • Take caution when cleaning the attachments.
  • Never leave the appliance connected to the mains without supervision.
  • Pull the plug from the wall outlet before replacing the accessories.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and older or by persons with physical, mental or sensory handicaps, or by those who are inexperienced or unfamiliar with the appliance, provided they are supervised or have been instructed how to safely use the appliance and are familiar with risks associated with the use of the appliance.
  • Ensure that children do not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance of the appliance should not be performed by children unless they are 8 years or older and are supervised by a competent person.
  • The surface on which the appliance is used shall be leveled, clean, and dry.
  • Press and hold the power switchAmica-TD-3021-2-Slice-Toaster-Instru (Fig. 1, item 3 or 4) to turn on the appliance. To stop the appliance press the button (Fig. 1, item 5). The complete appliance shutdown is possible by disconnecting the appliance from the power supply.
  • Before use, extend and straighten the power cord. Use the appliance on a flat, stable surface.
  • Do not use an extension cord that does not meet the applicable standards and regulations.
  • Do not use the toaster without the pull-out crumb tray (fig. 3). Clean the crumb tray regularly. Do not allow excessive accumulation of crumbs on a tray.
  • Do not put aluminum foil or other objects inside the unit, this may result in electric shock or fire.
  • Do not use the appliance for room heating.
  • Do not use the device for other purposes than intended.
  • Exercise caution, do not touch any hot surfaces of the sandwich maker. Don’t store or cover your appliance unless it has completely cooled down.
  • Do not put the appliance on a hot gas or electric hob or in their vicinity, or in places where it could come into contact with other sources of heat.
  • Caution: bread may burn. When using the sandwich maker provide adequate space above the appliance and on its sides for proper air circulation. The appliance in operation must not come in contact with the curtains, wall coverings, clothing, paper towels or other flammable materials. On surfaces sensitive to high temperatures,it is recommended to use an insulated heat pad. Do not use the appliance for toasting food products containing sugar, processed fruit or preservatives. Warning! Do not pull out stuck bread with a knife or other tool, as contact with live parts may result in fatal electric shock. Wait until the appliance is cold, unplug it from the power outlet and carefully remove the bread.
  • Important! This equipment is not designed for operation with external time switches or a separate remote control system.
  • The appliance is designed for heating or thawing bread, do not use it for other purposes.
  • Do not touch the surface marked with the symbol when the appliance is on or after the operation. These surfaces become hot (Fig. 2).

Toasting function

  •  Connect the appliance to the power outlet.

  •  In the slots (Fig. 1, item 2) put up to two slices of bread or other baked product.

  •  Set the desired level of browning with the knob/slider (Fig. 1, item 7). When using the toaster for the first time, we suggest setting the browning level in the middle of the scale. Then select another setting, depending on the type of bread and personal preference.

  • You might experience problems with pulling out smaller products after toasting, pulling out bread from the slots, lift the up/down lever (Fig. 1, item 6) approx. 20 mm above the default position.

  •  Press the up/down lever to the bottom until you feel resistance and hear a click. The toasting cycle will start automatically when the reset button is blue.
    Note: if the toaster is unplugged from the power outlet, and no function has been selected, the lever will not catch in the proper place.

  •  Press the heating button (Fig. 1, item 4).

  •  The appliance will turn off after achieving the set bread browning level. You can stop the toasting process at any time by pressing the reset button (Fig. 1, item 5).

  • In the unlikely event of bread or roll jam in the appliance, turn off the power supply, and pull the plug from the wall outlet. When the appliance is completely cold, carefully pull out bread from the toaster making sure not to damage the heaters.

  •  In the slots (Fig. 1, item 2) put up to two slices of bread or other baked product.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  •  Before any cleaning or maintenance, make sure that the appliance is disconnected from the power source and completely cold.
  •  Do not use corrosive or abrasive products for cleaning. Use only clean water with mild detergent.
  •  Wipe the appliance body with a damp cloth, under any circumstances, do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids, and do not wash with a water jet. Thoroughly dry the appliance after cleaning.
  •  To remove crumbs from the toaster, slide out the crumb tray (Fig. 1, item 1), empty it and then fit it into place.
  •  To remove crumbs from inside the appliance, flip the appliance over the sink and shake gently. Crumbs that were inside the appliance should be removed.
  • Clean the crumb tray regularly after each use (Fig. 3). Do not allow excessive accumulation of crumbs, it may cause fire.
