ELECTRONIC KITCHEN SCALE –
INSTRUCTION MANUAL
PC 1030
SAFETY WARNINGS
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into
operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt, and,
if possible, the box with the internal packing.
General Safety Instructions
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must never play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must never be carried out by children without supervision.
- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children less than 8 years old.
- WARNING: In order to ensure your children‘s safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene, etc.) out of their reach.
- Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
- Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.
- This appliance is for household use only.

Special Safety Instructions
- Use the device only for the intended purpose.
- Always place the appliance on a stable, level, and horizontal surface when you use it.
USE
– Take the kitchen scale out of the packaging and open the battery
compartment. Insert 2 AAA batteries respecting the correct polarity.
– The display will show “0” after three seconds
– Place the kitchen scale on a flat surface and you can start weighing. The
display will show the weight up to 5kg
– To use with the bowl, place it on the platform, press the tare button to
subtract the weight of the bowl, the display will return to zero, and now
place the items to be weighed in the bowl.
– Turn the knob to change the unit of measure
– To turn off the weight, press the button for two seconds. Do the same to turn it on
– If there is no weighing activity for 2 minute, the weight will turn off automatically
ERROR DISPLAY INTRODUCTION
– The scale has a load capacity of max. 5 kg. The display will show “Err” if
this maximum load is exceeded.
– The symbol appears if the batteries need replacing.
ADVICE FOR USE AND CARE
- Always put the scale on a clean and flat table.
- To ensure the life of the scale, do not put the scale under wet, hot & cold conditions.
- The product is a high-precision electronic weighing apparatus. Therefore do not drop otherwise the scale can be easily damaged.
- If the scale surface is dirty, please clean the scale with a soft cloth, do not use any chemical detergent, and don’t allow water to get inside the scale.
- If the result appears improperly, please check whether the batteries and the touching point contact well. Replace with new batteries if used for a long time already, then try again.
CLEANING AND CARE
The device may be wiped with a soft dry or slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
Do not use any abrasive, harsh cleaning solutions or aggressive solvents for
cleaning.
Disposal of old electrical appliances.
The European directive 2012/19/UE on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment
(WEEE), requires that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed
of in the normal unsorted municipal waste stream. Old appliances must be
collected separately in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the
materials they contain and reduce the impact on human health and the
environment. The crossed-out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you
of your obligation, that when you dispose of the appliance, it must be
separately collected. Consumers should contact their local authority or
retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of their old
appliances.
DECLARATION OF CONFORMITY: This device complies with the requirements of
the EMC directive 2014/30/EU.
CERTIFICATE OF GUARANTEE
We hereby certify that the equipment stated in this Guarantee Card has gone
through strict quality control checks and bears a full Guarantee of 24 months,
which shall come in force from the date of purchase.
During the 24-month guarantee period, the present certificate covers repairs,
workmanship, and spare parts for all manufacturing defects, however, this
guarantee does not cover those defects that have been caused due to the
following: defects of installation, blows, bad use, breakage of plastic parts
and external causes not related to the equipment. This guarantee does not
include installation and maintenance.
This certificate of guarantee is canceled on those accessories and components
which are worn due to continuous use. Those which are perishable, such as
plastic components, glass, lamps, filters, rubber, or enamelwork get worn due
to wrongful use or reaction to outside agents such as heating, wáter, or
chemical products.
The present certificate of guarantee shall be nullified if the equipment is
handled by any unauthorized personnel.
Customer’s rights:
The seller should be responsible for the customer in the event of a lack of
conformity when the product is purchased. It is recognized the right of the
customer to get the product repaired, substituted, decreased price, or
resolution the contract.
The present certificate is only valid if it is accompanied by the receipt or
invoice of purchase.
