instructions are an integral part of this product. They contain important
information for safety, use and disposal. Familiarize yourself with all of the
operating and safety information before using the product. Use the product
only as described and for the specific areas of application. Keep the
instructions for future reference. Provide all of the documentation when
passing the product on to third parties.
In the following, the Animated Christmas Scene with LEDs & Music will also be
called “product”.

- If you determine a defect on the product, remove the batteries from the device and have the product inspected and repaired, if necessary, before putting it into operation again.
- The LEDs are not replaceable. If the LEDs are defective, the product must be disposed of.

The product is not allowed to be manipulated! There is a risk of injury from
electric shock!
- The casing must not be opened and the product must not be manipulated/modified under any circumstances. Manipulations/modifications can cause danger to life from electric shock. Manipulations/modifications are prohibited for approval reasons (CE).
- The product must not be covered up during use.
Safety instructions regarding batteries
WARNING!
Fatal danger!
Batteries must not be swallowed!
There is a risk of fatal injuries!
- Batteries may be fatal if swallowed, so this article and its batteries must be stored out of the reach of small children.
- Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, soft tissue perforations and death. Serious internal chemical burns can already occur within 2 hours of ingestion.
- If a battery has been swallowed, please consult a doctor without delay!
- Keep the batteries out of the reach of children.

Fire and explosion hazard!
Never recharge non-rechargeable batteries, do not short-circuit and/or open
them.
This may result in overheating, risk of fire or bursting.
Keep the product away from heat sources and direct sunlight, the batteries may
explode if overheated. There is a risk of injury.
WARNING!
Risk of injury!
Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands! There is a risk of injury!
- Leaked or damaged batteries may cause chemical burns if they come into contact with skin. Do not touch leaked batteries with bare hands; therefore ensure that you wear appropriate protective gloves in this case!
- Only use type LR6/AA batteries from the same manufacturer.
- Insert the batteries into the designated battery compartment with the correct polarity.
- Do not use combinations of old and new batteries or rechargeable batteries.
- Store batteries in a dry and cool, not damp, place.
- Never throw batteries into fire.
- Do not short-circuit batteries.
- Disposable batteries also lose part of their energy during storage.
- Remove the batteries if the device is not in use.
- Discharged batteries must be immediately removed in order to avoid battery leakage and thus damage to the device.
- Empty batteries or used rechargeable batters must be disposed of properly.
- Store disposable batteries separately from discharged batteries, in order to avoid mix-ups.

There is a risk of explosion if batteries are replaced with an incorrect type.

Remove packaging prior to use.
Start-up
- Remove all packaging materials.
- Check whether all parts are available and undamaged. If this is not the case, notify the specified service address.
Remove safety strip for batteries (Fig. B)
The AA alkaline batteries 2 are already inserted in the delivery state and
are provided with a safety strip 3 which must be removed before the first
start-up.
– Pull out the safety strip 3 as shown in Fig. B on the underside of
the product 1.
The product 1 is now ready for use.
Setting up the product
Set up the product in an appropriate place.
NOTE!
- The surface should be even, so that the product cannot fall over. The location should accommodate sufficient free space around the product.
- Sensitive surfaces could be scratched by the product. Therefore, place e.g. a protective blanket under the product.
Usage
Switching product on-/off and activating moving parts, music and timer
With the switch 7 on the back of the product you can switch the following
modes, see Fig. C:
ON1: Light + Motion + Timer
OFF: Off
ON2: Light + Motion + Music
Timer function
The product is equipped with a timer function. When the “ON1” mode is
selected, the timer function will turn on. If the timer function is switched
on, the product switches off automatically after 6 hours. After a further 18
hours, the product switches on again automatically. As long as the switch 7 is
left in the “ON1” position, this daily cycle is repeated.
NOTE!
The timer function works without the music. This means that after 18 hours the
functions light and movement of parts will be activated, but the music will
not start.
NOTE!
- The product has 8 Christmas melodies. When the “ON2” mode is selected, these 8 Christmas melodies will be played one after another in a continuous loop.
- No selection of specific Christmas melodies can be made.
- The loudspeaker 8 is located on the underside of the product, see Fig. B. Therefore, do not place the product on a surface which is too soft.
The sound will otherwise be too much muffled.
NOTE!
Risk of damage to property
- Make sure that the moving parts 9 (see Fig. A) of the product are not restricted or obstructed in their radius of movement. There is a risk of damage to property.
- Remove any objects located in the range of movement before start-up.
Change batteries (Fig. B)
When the light of the LEDs becomes dimmer, the music quieter, or the moving
parts slower, the AA alkaline batteries 2 need to be replaced.
For this, proceed as follows:
- Switch off the product.
- Loosen the locking screw 6 on the underside of the product using a suitable Phillips screwdriver.
- Unlock and remove the cover 5 from the battery compartment 4 .
- Remove any depleted batteries from the battery compartment 4 .
- Insert 3 new LR6/AA batteries into the battery compartment 4 according to the polarity.
- Afterwards, close the battery compartment 4 .
- Tighten the locking screw 6 again with a suitable Phillips screwdriver.
The product is now again ready for operation.
Cleaning and care instructions
CAUTION!
Risk of injury!
Before cleaning, you must remove the batteries from the battery compartment.
There is a risk of electric shock!
- only clean with a feather duster
- if needed, blow away impurities
- only clean with a dry cloth
- do not use any strong detergents and/or chemicals
- do not immerse in water
- store in a cool, dry place and protected from UV light
Conformity declaration
This device complies with the fundamental requirements and other relevant regulations of the European Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive 2014/30/EU and the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU. The complete original conformity declaration is available from the importer.
Disposal
Disposal of the packaging
The packaging and operating instructions are made of 100 % environmentally
friendly materials, which you may dispose of at local recycling centers.
Disposal of the product
The product may not be disposed of with normal household waste.
For information on disposal options for the product, please contact your local
council/municipality or your Kurland shop.
Disposal of the battery / rechargeable battery
- Defective or used rechargeable batteries have to be recycled in accordance with Directive 2006/66/EC and its amendments.
- Batteries and disposable batteries are not permitted to be disposed of with household waste.
They contain harmful heavy metals.
Marking: Pb (= lead), Hg (= mercury), Cd (= cadmium). You are legally
obligated to return used batteries and rechargeable batteries. After use, you
can either return batteries to our point of sale or in the direct vicinity
(e.g. with a retailer or in municipal collection centers) free of charge.
Batteries and rechargeable batteries are marked with a crossed-out waste bin.
Warranty
Dear customer, the warranty on this product is 3 years from the purchase date.
In the event of defects in this product, you are entitled to exercise your
statutory rights against the seller of the product. These statutory rights are
not limited by our warranty described in the following.
Warranty conditions
The warranty begins on the date of purchase. Please keep the original receipt.
This document is required as verification of the purchase. If a material or
manufacturing defect arises within three years from the purchase date of this
product, the product will be repaired or replaced, as per our choice, at no
charge to you. This warranty service requires the submission of the purchase
receipt and the defective product within the three-year period and a short
written description of the defect and when it arose. If the defect is covered
by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. The
warranty period does not restart with the repair or replacement of the
product.
Guarantee period and statutory claims for defects
The guarantee period will not be extended by the warranty. This also applies
to replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects which may possibly already
exist upon purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking. After the
guarantee period has expired, required repairs shall be subject to a charge.
Scope of guarantee
The device has been carefully produced under strict quality guidelines and
conscientiously inspected prior to delivery. The guarantee service applies to
material or manufacturing faults. This guarantee does not extend to product
parts, which are exposed to normal wear and tear and can therefore be regarded
as wearing parts or to damage to fragile parts, e.g. switches, battery packs
or which are made of glass. This guarantee shall lapse, if the product is
damages, not used properly or maintained properly. For proper use of the
product, all of the instructions in the operating instructions must be
precisely complied with. Purposes and actions, which are dissuaded from or
warned about in the operating instructions must be avoided.
The product is only intended for private and not commercial use. In the case
of abusive and improper handling, use of force and with interventions, which
are not performed by our authorised service branch, the guarantee shall lapse.
Processing in the case of a guarantee claim
To ensure quick processing of your concern, please follow the instructions
below:
- Please have the till receipt and article number available (IAN) 390582 – 2201 as proof of the purchase.
- You can find the article number on the rating plate on the product, as an engraving on the product, the title place of your instructions or the sticker on the back or underside of the product.
- If malfunctions or other defects occur, first contact the service department below by telephone or e-mail.
- You can then send a product that has been recorded as being defective, including the proof of purchase (till receipt) and stating what the defect is and when it occurred, postage-free to the service address provided to you.
