Introduction

Wyze was founded with the intention of making excellent technology available to everyone. We began in 2017 by launching Wyze Cam, a smart home camera with all the features users demand at a fraction of the cost of competing cameras, from our Kirkland, Washington, office. Wyze Cam is currently the best-selling camera on the entire, demonstrating that people adore amazing technology that is accessible to everyone. Since then, we’ve continued to follow this idea and released other smart home products, such as Wyze Bulb, Wyze Sense, Wyze Plug, and Wyze Lock. Our most recent piece of smart home magic is Wyze Lock.

This smart lock accomplishes your expectations and provides all the functionality you could ever want in a smart lock. You may remotely operate it with your phone to let the dog walker in or make sure it locks after you’ve hurriedly departed for your holiday. This bad boy is capable of more than that. Wyze Lock recognises when you get home and opens the door as you get close. Once you are inside, Wyze Lock’s integrated gyroscope senses when the door is closed and locks itself behind you. All of that and more are present. Like we said, everything the technology you require is now available at a cost you can bear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a hard connection between the Gateway and the WiFi router necessary?

Unlike what the other individual said, the gateway uses ZigBee rather than Bluetooth. The lock and the gateway can be up to 50 feet apart and still function. No, the router and gateway are not hardwired together.

Does the unlock process require the wyze app to be open?

To unlock the door, you don’t need to have the app or phone open. The app does offer a feature to unlock it. You may unlock via the app while in the car, for instance, if it’s pouring.

Can a multi-point lock system be used with it?

I am unsure of what you mean exactly. However, this device can only open one deadbolt lock.

How does the front look?

The front of the door seems just as it does right now; nothing has changed.

Please confirm if the Smart Life app is compatible?

No, the Smart Life app is not compatible with it. Only the Wyze app is compatible with all Wyze devices.

Does each lock require its own gateway, or can numerous locks be used with one?

Per gateway, you can have up to 10 locks. Currently, I have 2 locks on a single gateway. Much superior to the setup from August.

Can the knob be taken off?

The door handle doesn’t need to be taken off.

What number of codes can the lock hold?

The Wyze keypad can keep up to 50 codes in memory.

Can this be applied to a gate outside?

You would need to shield it from the rain because it is not waterproof. Having said that, I did so, and it is now attached to a gate outside. It’s been OK for me thus far (installed early november)

Will my Echo 10 be able to use this?

I have no idea what an echo 10 is. It will work with the Echo Show 10 if you mean by that.
